00:08as severe rains continue to create catastrophic flooding and threaten to trigger the collapse
00:13of Waihai War Dam. Honolulu officials told residents to leave the area downstream of the
00:19120-year-old dam because it's failing or expected to soon fail. The warning also told residents
00:26to couple because of heavy traffic. Officials issued a warning for the dam during heavy
00:32rain last week but the water level receded as rain succeeded. According to the National
00:37Weather Service, significant runoff continues to produce high water levels and dangerous
00:43flooding impacts although rainfall rates have temporarily decreased.
