00:19Here's the 450 guys on track.
00:21Top storylines today.
00:22Well, we've seen Hunter Lawrence and Eli Tomac in terms of championship, they've pulled away
00:27from the pack.
00:27This is 1A and 1B, and they get it done a little bit different ways.
00:32Hunter's first lap position is so great, but Eli, when he gets a bad start, he's so good
00:37at making quick, decisive passes.
00:39So I think it's going to come down to these two guys down the stretch.
00:43Who's it going to be?
00:46And finally, the number one on your screen, Cooper Webb.
00:49As Lurch said at the top of the show, you can never count this guy out.
00:52He's 25 points down, but as Lurch said, so good late in these championships.
00:57He hasn't quite had the pace needed to run with Eli and Hunter and challenge them for
01:03these wins.
01:04But if there is a way, if it is possible, you know Cooper Webb is going to figure it out.
01:10But it's go time right now.
01:11He has absolutely zero time to waste.
01:14He's got to start winning.
01:1625 points down in the championship.
01:18How about this guy?
01:19This guy's got a shot at it.
01:20Justin Cooper's solid race in Indianapolis, was able to win one of the three Triple Crowns
01:25that were fueled by Amazon.
01:26But he's got some confidence.
01:27And we saw we saw a spark from Justin Cooper.
01:30He's had those moments.
01:31He even had some of those moments last season in 2025.
01:35Anytime you can pass Eli Tomac, I know it was just a main event win wasn't an overall victory,
01:42but that's going to do a lot for his confidence.
01:45And, you know, Rich, all the guys over at Star Racing have talked about trying to get Justin
01:50to believe that he is the guy that he can be up there.
01:53And I love this track for him.
01:55So good in the corners.
01:56Whoop section has been a weakness in his game, but a small of a whoop section.
02:01We saw Levi kitchen making the jump line work.
02:03So can Justin Cooper?
02:05He has the ability to get in there and shake up this championship a little bit.
02:09Can he start putting it together and rattle off some podium?
02:11Well, in days like he had in Indianapolis, where he able to pass Eli Tomac, no matter
02:16if it's a heat race or a Triple Crown race, it doesn't matter.
02:19You can really build on those blocks.
02:21And I'm sure he's saying, look, if he can win a race, that's 12 minutes plus a lap.
02:25Why can't he win for 20 minutes plus a lap?
02:27He's got fitness to do it.
02:28He's got the team to do it.
02:29Justin Cooper's going to be good here today, no doubt.
02:31He does.
02:32And as you said, one of the best guys, all these guys, especially the top guys, are great
02:36in the corners.
02:37But if you're a young guy out there and you want to get in a Supercross, you want to be
02:42one of these guys, watch Justin Cooper in the middle of his turn.
02:45So balanced, composed, connects the track very well.
02:49He does a lot of things great.
02:51But the intensity and aggression, you need confidence to do that, to really put up when
02:58it matters.
02:59And I think getting that main event win, that second main event win in Indianapolis, Triple
03:03Crown a couple of weeks ago, I think that's going to do a lot for him.
03:07He's skimming the whoops so far.
03:08There's Malcolm Stewart on the 27th.
03:10Aaron Plessinger, Christian Craig right there jumping the whoops.
03:13So that's kind of surprising, Christian, one of the best guys skimming the whoops as these
03:17guys got two minutes free out here.
03:19Now it's under, so 12 minutes here in Q1.
03:24Two of the minutes are just free.
03:25You can kind of go out and check out the track.
03:27But now the green flag is flying.
03:28You can see over that finish line right there.
03:30Green flag means, all right, you're on the clock right now.
03:32You can throw down the time that will matter.
03:35East-West Showdown in the 250s, normal race here in the 450 class as we get things rolling.
03:40There's Ken Rockson on the number 94, progressive Suzuki.
03:44And talk about race one in Indianapolis, domination from the 94 of Ken Rockson.
03:50And he's been so fast all year long.
03:53And we haven't seen, we're only a couple of races after Daytona, but we haven't seen that
03:58drop off yet.
03:59And we've talked about it a lot.
04:00We know Ken very well personally.
04:03I think mentally he's very well equipped as he makes just a little mistake right there
04:08to stay in this championship fight.
04:10Had that big crash last couple of weekends ago in Indy.
04:14Kind of set him back points wise.
04:16But you know this guy has the speed to win on any given weekend.
04:20And we know this guy does as well.
04:21Two wins on the season so far.
04:23Came into the season with zero.
04:25But we all thought, you know what, Hunter Lawrence is going to get a win or two or three potentially
04:28this season.
04:29And he's your championship points leader by four.
04:32And I will say after Indianapolis, that race three, when him and Eli Tomac got out front,
04:36it was mano y mano.
04:37And Hunter Lawrence just kind of rode away.
04:40And sometimes you see there's weakness, there's always a weakness for any of these top guys.
04:45And what's been so impressive about Hunter Lawrence this year is exactly what we saw in that third main event
04:51in Indianapolis.
04:52He knows his, the weak part of the race is the beginning.
04:55He struggles to kind of get up to that intensity, to push it right away, typically rides within his comfort
05:02zone.
05:02But he always addresses his weaknesses and figures it out and gets better.
05:06And that's what makes him so scary late in these championships is that you know he's going to continue getting
05:12better.
05:13He doesn't get complacent.
05:14I think Hunter Lawrence having a career year and really, I don't think we talk about enough the step that
05:21he made last year to this year.
05:23In regular season Supercross specifically, I mean, he's maybe 10% better than he's been in the past.
05:30So, great year from the 96, but he's got to go through this man.
05:34This man right here, Eli Tomac, the 33-year-old on the Red Bull KTM.
05:39He was fast qualifier last time we've seen these guys in Indianapolis.
05:42He's qualified fastest 48 times in his career and keeps breaking records week after week.
05:49Four points out of the championship lead, but you think about the race in Houston where he crashed, went over
05:53the bar,
05:54still was able to salvage that night, a fourth overall.
05:56And then you think about Glendo where he's down in the first turn, gets 12.
05:59So, he's had a couple races where he wasn't on the podium, but still within four points in the championship.
06:05And I love what he did right there.
06:07You saw him shift up a couple times, going in the left-hand corner before the whoops,
06:11because he's so good at modulating the power with the clutch.
06:14He hit that corner in third gear, kept his momentum rolling,
06:18so he didn't have to worry about shifting up, entering the whoops.
06:22Well, it's that time of year for Cooper Webb.
06:24The number one three-time Supercross champion as he goes right across the tops of the whoops.
06:29Wow, that was a good pass.
06:32Guys are going double-double right here to this inside.
06:35You think it's just shortening the track a little bit?
06:37I do think with the ruts you're seeing on this side of the track,
06:40it's so difficult to carry your speed all the way around the outside of the corner.
06:46So, Cooper making the corner really low after the whoops, you know he's going to shorten the track up.
06:51But I like that line.
06:52He messed it up a little bit.
06:53I like tripling out of the corner, going double-landed, and hitting that inside run.
06:57Cooper Webb goes to the top, 51.5.
07:00Tomac second, rocks in third.
07:01And how about Jorge Prado?
07:02He's fourth.
07:03Hunter Lawrence, a couple mistakes right there with a 53.1 as he's on another fast one.
07:07And you see that rut after the finish line there, all the way inside, getting so deep.
07:12Saw him just make a little mistake, makes another one, and he's going to back it down and re-tee
07:17it the next time by.
07:18But these guys pushing so hard on a track like this, we've been talking about it already,
07:23but kind of dry and loose on this side, a lot of ruts on the other side.
07:28It's throwing these guys for a loop a little bit.
07:29Biggest surprise of the day so far.
07:31It took till 4.50 Q1 to get a golf reference in by Adam C.
07:35Wow.
07:35A little re-tee.
07:37Yeah, I do what I can to limit the golf talk.
07:40I know the fans here are for dirt bikes, but you know it's going to happen at some point.
07:45It's not golf, but you know this man was out fishing during that weekend off.
07:49Malcolm Stewart, Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna Racing Machine.
07:53He's starting to really to get back to the Malcolm Stewart form that we know and love from Tampa last
07:58year.
07:58And he's had a really quiet season after that big crash at Anaheim, nursing that injury.
08:04One of the toughest guys we have on the racetrack.
08:06But I do think that this offseason, I think he was primed to come in here and be a candidate
08:11to be on the podium multiple times to potentially win multiple races.
08:15So late in the year, can he find that form?
08:18Why the top guys are kind of worried about points in the championship wouldn't surprise me at all.
08:22As he goes to second, Malcolm Stewart has some speed here today, 51.7.

08:30Vince, Vince Freese didn't see him coming or gotten his way.
08:34Jorge had to back it down, but no sign of emotion there.

09:55He just goes a little bit long and his suspension compresses too much and it just affects his
10:01momentum forward and the bike tackles him into that single right there.
10:05And sometimes the pockets early in practice at the start of the day, sometimes the pockets
10:09in between the jumps in the rhythm lanes aren't aren't super smooth in rounds.
10:14So you have to be extra perfect hitting the downside.
10:17He was already committed when he came over that table to do the table over two and just
10:21comes up a little short.
10:22It could have been worse.

10:26He was on his two feet there for a second, but looks like we're a red flag going to tee

10:33And how about the two guys that we were talking about that really need to get back in this

10:40Look who's won two right now and they're nearly tied at the top 51.528 for that man right

10:51There's Coop right there.
10:52Number one, three times Supercross champion.
10:54These guys, these guys got some speed here today, though.
10:57Well, what we saw last year with with Chase Sexton and Cooper Webb down the stretch is they
11:01were clearly going to go one to pretty much the last five or six races of the season speed
11:06wise.
11:07But I love these guys being a good form Cooper Webb Ken Rockson on any given Saturday.
11:12They do have what it takes to be Eli Tomac to beat Hunter Lawrence.
11:16So if you're those guys, if you're Hunter, if you're Eli, you're keeping your eye on these
11:21two because they can get in between you and your competition.
11:25It could be bad for the championship.
11:27So a lot to watch for here down the stretch.
11:29Well, that's some good news.
11:30That's a 26 on that Red Bull KTM Jorge Prado putting his goggles back on.
11:34It's on the Alpine star mobile medical team right there.

12:00Oh, he has been so impressive, and we've talked about it time and time again.
12:04But look no further than the whoops.
12:05This guy, he's not just average in the whoops.
12:08He's one of the best guys, and you can see why he's a two-time MXGP champion.
12:14So much talent and has really excelled in this Red Bull KTM program.
12:19Talk about one of the best guys.
12:20That guy right there, two-time Supercross champion, Eli Tomac.

12:32Or I should say it's been a little bit different this year for Ken.
12:35In the past, not so good in practice, but seems like you see him at the top of the board
12:40a little bit more often.
12:41Eli, of course, no stranger to the top of the board either.
12:44He's there in fourth with a 51.8.
12:48It's a good start for the three.

12:50And Malcolm Stewart, that Rockstar Energy Husqvarna factory racing machine.
12:54He's third, 51.7.
12:56How about the Red Bull KTMs?
12:57Four, five, six for those guys.
12:59Aaron Plessinger on the seven, typically not known for his qualifying.
13:03So if he's anywhere inside the top ten, you know he's feeling good.
13:05And we've seen some flashes.
13:06We've seen some flashes of speed from Aaron Plessinger.
13:09He was involved, crashed with Ken Rockson a couple weeks ago in Indianapolis.
13:14But a quiet season so far for Aaron.
13:17I'm expecting him to get it back on track towards the end of this season.
13:20We know this guy is capable of podiums.
13:22Absolutely.
13:23One of the fan favorites right there, number seven, Aaron Plessinger on the Red Bull KTM.
13:28Sixth fastest so far, 52.4, within a second of Ken Rockson out front.
13:33But you know when you come into a race, and we talk about it off the top.
13:38You mentioned Cooper Webb off the top.
13:40He's 25 points down.
13:41Ken Rockson 28 points down in the championship.
13:43Rockson may be the best form that he's been on in a long, long time or maybe ever.
13:47They come out, do what they have to do to start qualifying.
13:50And when you qualify like this, when you're first and second like this,
13:53you know that you're gelling with the bike.
13:55And there's a certain mindset that you have to bring to qualifying to do what they're doing right now.
14:00No, absolutely.
14:01And these guys, I don't think either of them have thrown in the towel for the championship.
14:07This is motorsports.
14:08And it looks like Eli Tomac and Hunter Lawrence are going to run away with this thing.
14:13But it's amazing.
14:14And how many times have we seen it?
14:15You go into a Saturday thinking one thing, and then the entire championship gets turned on its head.
14:21So these guys have the form needed down the stretch to get in there to challenge.
14:25They're going to need a little bit of help, a little bit of luck on their side.
14:28But I don't think I've seen Cooper Webb look as good as he has in practice so far this year
14:34than what he's doing right now.
14:36I mean, when he's skimming whoops and everyone else is jumping him, you know he's feeling it.
14:40There he did that triple-double to the inside that Hunter Lawrence was doing.
14:43Malcolm Stewart did it as well.
14:45Is that the tent that he needs to go to the top?
14:48Cooper Webb, that last lap around.

14:55A little intensity.

15:16you see some of these berms starting to blow out.
15:18And often, like the corner before the finish line, the corner before the whoops,
15:22the guys are already so low in the turn that they're forced to go to the one rut.
15:27You see a lot of acceleration bumps.
15:29It's getting really deep.
15:31So, Tomac getting it done late.
15:32Let's see if Ken can get back up there.
15:35And talk about how difficult it is.
15:36You go out there.
15:37You get warmed up.
15:38You know the track.
15:39You start to create the proper angles to the track as Kenny goes over the table.
15:42Quad right there.
15:43Double.
15:44But then you take a break.
15:45Red flag because of Jorge Prado.
15:46And then to go out there and just throw down a fast lap right away like Eli Tomac did
15:50or like Ken Rockson's doing right now, that's really difficult to do.
15:53It is difficult.
15:54Anytime you come back, get the heart rate down a little bit, it can often feel like if you
15:59just go out there after a break, it can feel like you're going really fast.
16:03But it takes a second to work back into the pace.
16:06But these guys clearly in mid-season form and making quick work of it.
16:11How about that whoop speed right there from Kenny?
