01:24big things that you're going to get over the first like three hours of the game
01:27we have to kind of squeeze in here we actually kind of acted out we go through
01:32and and start storyboarding the different moments that we want it's something that
01:36people will watch mainly right they won't not a lot of people will play it so it
01:40needs to be entertaining to view

05:21probably why the skybox is broken too there's no lighting anywhere like in the whole level yeah
05:26in the whole level who controls the brightness of the hologram I do so can you dim it way down

05:30the main problem for me right now is that I need to on Wednesday Thursday Friday do cinematics
05:36um so I have no time to react to things because cinematics needs help a lot
05:45the skybox is bananas what texture is it there I don't even it looks like a cruiser
05:50like a guardian or something video games
06:18right now I'm just building sounds mostly for the new forerunner vehicle the VTOL and um also
06:24different visual effects for forerunner characters a warden and soldier so I'm just trying to get these
06:30kind of like glitchy kind of zippy elements that I could kind of mix in with all these different
06:35animations of their little bits and pieces breaking apart forming back together this is the Eurorack
06:40format it's basically just a modular synthesizer and you can pick and choose all the little
06:46different different pieces of hardware and kind of form your own instrument and you just get a lot
06:51of interesting textures that you normally wouldn't get when you're kind of just working inside the
06:55computer I really like this approach because it's it's just infinite it's like an open wormhole and
07:02uh you can go down there and come out with some really amazing incredible but sometimes you can
07:09kind of get lost in there as well sending this basically into a mixer and then splitting that out
07:17into multiple effects so the output of that mixer goes out into all these other effects and then output of
07:24those effects go back into the mixer and it's just kind of this continuous loop of never-ending chaos
07:30I'll start here with just like this contact microphone which will just take the actual
07:36like physical vibrations from my hand and that will be the actual sound source
07:44I'd basically just have a little mason jar with two magnets basically tracking to each other and that
07:52way I can just kind of move this along and kind of get these nice little interesting textures of the
07:56of the actual magnets sliding against the little ridges of the glass and kind of get all these nice little
08:02glitchy actions going
08:25this is basically just a circuit light sensor as a photo photo diode on it and basically it just picks
08:32up the intensity of lights and then it translates that into audible frequencies can we cut this light here
08:47it could be time-consuming but it's always kind of worth it because it's just that little bit of unique
08:52element that only you have
09:01yeah there's definitely some interesting textures to get out of there even those zaps that you kind of get
09:06when I release from it it's really interesting
09:26some of the really interesting stuff is probably more of the deep drone-y stuff that I can kind of
09:32conform into some nice
09:34different loops for vertical acceleration and horizontal pitch and all that stuff so I think a lot of that stuff
09:42will will yield very beneficial for some of the
09:45VTOL source tomorrow check it out
09:59oh there's fog coming flying here that they have added
10:02and the hair is obviously being hit by more than eight dynamic lights and you can see the fog coming
10:09in and the hair is rendering above the fog
10:12there you see there you see the hair doesn't get affected by the effect
10:15this fog was specifically requested by Brian so and he wanted it to look very
10:21we will but we will patch a fog okay not with effect because that can't render with the hair
10:26okay awesome
10:28so why we have four five TVs in here is because the consumers have different TVs and every TV has
10:36a little bit different saturation
10:38color more blue more green because they have decided that they like that more
10:44so we just want to have a large range of different TVs to see exactly how our game will look

13:46that kind of sound

13:48make our mixing
13:49totally broken
