01:06The crowd just went ridiculously, I mean, the passion of the fans, the fans that I've met, starting at E3
01:12this summer, I was at MineCon, I was in China Joy last week, here at Gamescom.
01:17I mean, our Xbox fans, I think, are the best, and they've just really raised the energy of everything that
01:22we do.
01:22You've done so much traveling, you are in all the time zones at once.
01:26But yeah, speaking of backward compatibility, 3 million votes cast by our community for the titles they want to see
01:31on Xbox One.
01:33That's a great way to connect with our fans, right?
01:35It is, and you also saw on stage the third-party publisher support that we're giving, and we look right
01:41at that list that people are voting up on what games they want to see in backcompat,
01:45and make sure we go into the publishers and getting their support, and the support we've seen from the third
01:49-party publishers has been really great, really great.
01:52So, November's the launch of backcompat, we'll have hundreds of games there, and bring in hundreds and more, so it'll
01:57be, it's really nice.
01:59All right.
02:00We talked about Windows 10 a lot in the briefing yesterday.
02:03Tell us about Windows 10 and why that's important to Xbox gamers.
02:06Well, first, you know, we had the launch of Windows 10 last week, and we'll be at 14 million people,
02:11like, right out of the gate upgrading,
02:13and the numbers just continue to fly, and really great response from gamers around the features in Windows 10.
02:19And for us, as the Xbox group, we look at gaming on Windows and gaming on console.
02:23We know our customers play games on both places, and we want to make sure that we're putting the right
02:28games in front of people,
02:29working on things like DirectX 12 and Xbox Live across both platforms,
02:34really connecting the community of gamers so they can play the games they want to play
02:38with the people they want to play with wherever they are.
02:40Now, we're at Gamescom.
02:41One of the reasons I love this show is that it's a gamers show, right?
02:44Yeah, absolutely.
02:45400,000 fans coming through the doors this weekend.
02:48It's crazy, isn't it?
02:50And it gives us a chance to speak directly to our fans.
02:52We did a lot of that yesterday.
02:54Yeah.
02:54What did that mean to you?
02:55Yeah, the fans are why we do what we do.
02:58I've been in this job for a little over a year now, and definitely the direct feedback through Twitter,
03:03through events like this, just getting on Xbox Live and playing games with people
03:08has been instrumental in the way that we drive what we're doing with Xbox.
03:12We know that gamers want to play games.
03:14They're some of the most passionate people on the planet about their art form that they love,
03:18and us staying connected with the gamers is critical to our success with Xbox.
03:23It's really foundational to everything that we do, and I appreciate all the feedback they give.
03:27yesterday it was pouring down rain here in Cologne, and I went out and spent time with the people in
03:32line
03:32to get into our briefing, and they just are happy and tell you what they think.
03:37It's really one of the best parts about this job.
03:40All right, so all this summer we've been showing what we believe is the greatest games lineup
03:43in the history of Xbox.
03:45Of the games that we've got coming up, this is a tough one.
03:48Are you going to make me pick a game?
03:49I'm going to make you pick a game.
03:51Pick your favorite child.
03:52Which game are you most excited about in the lineup that we've got coming?
03:56Well, you know, if I look historically at the games that I play a lot,
04:01Forza Motorsport will be right at the top of the list in terms of, I'm just, I love racing games.
04:06That's what I'm playing a lot of right now, and it's a lot of fun.
04:10And watching, you know, they've added weather, so now we've got water puddles,
04:14and I was running Nürburgring, actually, in the rain in my press room today.
04:19Incredibly technical, and it's just, you know, really great to see turn 10
04:23and what they've been able to deliver.
04:25But I'm with you.
04:25Like, I think the lineup of games we have this year is really incredible.
04:28The studio has stepped up.
04:30Halo 5, I thought, look, just, and another game I'm playing a lot of right now,
04:33looks great.
04:34Fables coming, gigantic coming, Rise of the Tomb Raider.
04:37The demo that they have of Rise of the Tomb Raider here behind closed doors is fantastic.
04:41It's a really strong lineup.
04:43And we started to show more of our 2016 games,
04:46and the response from gamers has been really fantastic.
04:49It must have been a thrill for you as a Halo Wars fan to reveal Halo Wars 2.
04:53It was a surprise at the end yesterday, right?
04:54It was.
04:55Having Bonnie come out, you know, I love that Bonnie opened our E3 show.
04:58She was the first person that people saw on our stage.
05:00She was the last person people saw on our stage here at Gamescom.
05:03And Bonnie's been somebody I've worked with for a long time.
05:05But Halo Wars, a franchise, I love the first version of the game.
05:09And now, you know, when you think about a genre that can exist on console and on Windows
05:14and all of the opportunity that we have there, we found a great partner in Creative Assembly
05:20with a long history in creating great real-time strategy games.
05:23It was the perfect opportunity for us.
05:25So when we saw that, you know, jump in, another 2016 game coming on top of the games that we've
05:30already announced.
05:32Phil, I'm going to let you go.
