Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen has returned to Taiwan after an 11-day trip to the United States, where she says she worked to strengthen ties. During the visit, Lu traveled to cities including Seattle, Boston, New York and Washington, DC, meeting with business groups, and members of the overseas Taiwanese community.
