American Institute in Taiwan Director Raymond Greene has met with Kuomintang Chair Cheng Li-wen in Taipei, just one day after President Lai Ching-te postponed his trip to Africa citing Chinese interference. During the meeting, both sides agreed that cross-strait differences should be resolved peacefully and without coercion. The talks follow Cheng’s recent visit to China, where she met Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
