00:04This patch will be released on February 16th,
00:07alongside the conclusion to our expansion, The White March Part 2.
00:11These features and improvements will be made available to all Pillars of Eternity players.
00:17First, we are excited to show you the new content being added to your stronghold.
00:21Adventures now have unique stories and rewards,
00:24visitors will arrive at your stronghold with interesting dilemmas,
00:26and a new questline will have you fighting over your claim to Cainua.
00:33Next up is Knockout Injuries.
00:35A new optional difficulty feature has been added that will give your characters injuries when they go down in a
00:40fight.
00:41Each time a character gets knocked out, they will receive an injury that will affect them until the next time
00:46they rest.
00:47For example, the grieving mother went down in this fight.
00:50She twisted her ankle, reducing her reflex until the next time she rests.
00:57Story Time Mode. A new optional difficulty mode has been added that allows you to focus on the story of
01:02Pillars of Eternity without needing to specialize your party for combat.
01:06This does lower the difficulty of combat, but you will still experience the same rich narrative as everyone else.
01:14Both the athletics and survival skills have been updated to be more powerful.
01:17Investing points into athletics will give characters the ability to use Second Wind, a powerful personal heal that can be
01:24used during combat.
01:26The survival skill now provides characters with different resting bonuses when camping.
01:31Ranging from the improved defenses to strategic bonuses, points in survival will give characters better flexibility when out in the
01:38wild.
01:40Next we have the Bestiary update. The Bestiary has been updated to include more unique entries and have better organization.
01:47Many creature variants can now be found in the Bestiary along with information about their strengths and weaknesses.
01:55We've also made improvements to the Action Bar.
01:59We've cleaned it up to clearly separate per encounter and per rest abilities.
02:03It makes it easier for you to keep track of your more powerful abilities during a difficult fight.
02:09Lastly, we have new late game revisions.
02:11After receiving feedback from the community that the later acts of the game were both too easy and had too
02:16many trash mobs,
02:18we revised Act 3 and the later levels of Odd Nua to reduce the density of creatures while increasing the
02:24overall difficulty.
02:25In addition, we have added a level scaling option for anyone that starts Act 3 with a high level party.
02:31This should provide an additional challenge for parties that complete the White March expansion.
02:36Of course, those who play the White March Part 2 will also receive new abilities, a higher level cap, the
02:41Eleventh Companion,
02:42new Soulbound items, and the conclusion to the White March story, complete with a ton of brand new content.
