02:14house I would like to have extra money to be able to take some time off work relax enjoy my
02:20life but
02:21most important to me is to restore this home you know this is one of those ones where she bought
02:26a
02:26lot of things to resale and so some of them are gonna be worth a lot some maybe not so
02:30much I

04:12cool thank you thank you thank you let's do it I'm up after you oh yes sir it's your home
04:17like
04:17always when we scout a new property we're gonna divide and conquer to see if this is a job worth
04:22taking on I guess we'll start to the first room all right let's do it that's okay this would be
04:27the
04:27den it is as you can see quite full of everything imaginable from toys to antiques to cards to dish
04:37sets so a lot of this looks like auction stuff you've bought in bulk got all the auction numbers
04:42on it well you'd like to buy yes sir I like it Vicki's a really good hoarder everything is in
04:48great
04:48condition most hoarders collect stuff that doesn't have a lot of value Vicki man it does all right let
04:54me peek in here okay it's full it is indeed full yes what will this room look like when we're
05:00done
05:01what do you want it would be the formal dining yes sir and that opens up to the other room
05:05it does sir
05:06okay and we got some silver some of this sterling some of this is plated that's good any sterling we
05:12got that's money you got more than I thought you had I gotta be honest the pictures didn't do it
05:16justice oh thank you and there are surprises I mean I haven't seen this stuff I'll be surprised as you
05:21all what else we got in this is there is this it or is there oh no we have so
05:25much more this is
05:26making me happy okay great all right well if this makes you happy you're gonna love what's coming
05:30up next now we get into the really messy stuff see it yeah it's even coming down the stairs okay
05:38it is
05:39coming down the stairs wow okay here's the buckets here we go here we go all right now I see
05:47why you
05:47called me yes indeed sir yes so tell me what's in all this stuff I don't know okay oh it's
05:55a
05:55little bit of everything there's comic books there's beanie babies there's hot wheels there's things
06:00that I don't even know that I can't even tell you oh this is definitely packed this is no space
06:09for a big man
06:10let's see what we got here toys let's see Star Wars Star Wars that's good should have brought my gloves
06:19with
06:23all right so what's in this room that whole closet there is ball cards Michael Jordan is it signed or
06:30it was autographed signed and got the certificate Michael Jordan signed player card is a game changer
06:35the value of this collection just shot up unless you've been living under a rock you've heard of
06:44Eric Jordan wildly considered the greatest basketball player of all time he played most of
06:50his all-star career for the Chicago Bulls where he was voted league MVP five times and led the Bulls
06:55to
06:56six NBA championship titles 30 years after his prime Michael Jordan is still one of the most
07:02recognized and popular athletes on the planet an autographed 1986 87 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie card
07:10sold for two point five million dollars you got some really good stuff in here thank you I'm glad
07:16you think so and I'm seeing the best thing about it cobwebs when I see cobwebs that means no one's
07:22been
07:22here that's a good thing girl that is a good thing there's no getting in here good that means no
07:27one's
07:28touched it hoarding is like a fine wine if you wait long enough value comes back and I'm not saying
07:33that to tell people to hoard more but this might work out for Vicki walk me through you're a realtor
07:38you help people get their houses looking pretty and they sell them and then you come home and then
07:43do this yes and it's like a being a hairstylist you know you can tell a great hairstylist because they
07:48have the worst hair because they don't have time to do their own hair yeah so that's kind of the
07:54way I
07:54am here I'm working on getting everybody else their beautiful dream home and I've neglected my own dream
08:00home is this the dream home indeed so we just need to clean it up and sell some stuff we
08:04need to get it out
08:05of here okay I'm gonna go find the guys and I'm gonna see what kind of deal they think we
08:09should
08:09do and I'll come back and find you okay okay all right let me follow you thank you I'm pretty
08:15excited
08:16there's some real stuff here and they're just got so much volume in this house I'll be able to sell
08:21this stuff and really make some good money but there's still five acres to account for that could
08:25make this deal too good to be true I got to talk to the rest of the team to get
08:29a better idea what we're
08:30up against any yard equipment it's a lot of scrap money a lot of tools I mean all that sells
08:35all
08:35right guys how we doing what'd you find in here it's a furniture a lot of yard tools the negative
08:42it's a lot of stuff to go through okay but I think there's potential in there any concerns like outside
08:47anything that threw you away like structure or anything like that we got walls and bees everywhere
08:51okay that's not good for us nope the shed that I was in yeah I want to take it down
08:56I don't want to
08:57get to moving the stuff and then the shed just collapses you think it's holding it up yeah it's
09:01gonna fall the last thing we need is no value and a crushing hazard here's the good news inside
09:06there's actually a lot of good stuff up there baseball cards for days she said that she has
09:11a signed Michael Jordan card and if that's the case that's pure gold that could be huge Wow endless
09:17boxes of signed comics all at an insane volume she's a sleeper man she's gotten a lot of good stuff
09:24now
09:24to your point always we don't have time to go through all of them but they're in good condition
09:29I think we can actually help her so probably low on the clean out yeah so I would say 10.
09:34all right so if you're at 10 on the clean out I think we could probably agree on like a
09:3860 to
09:3870 thousand dollar in sales but this is definitely gonna be a four-day cleaning we got to make real
09:44money I think we can do it all right let me go find her I'll see what we can do
09:47thanks guys
09:49with the guys on board it's time to make a deal with Vicki this house comes with a lot of
09:53risk but
09:54massive rewards if we play our cards right all right Vicki we got some good news okay good I like
10:00to hear that there's a lot of work to do but I have to be honest you got a lot
10:03of good stuff I'm
10:04really impressed I don't see a lot of trash I'm thinking probably 10,000 on the cleanup cost okay that
10:09being said this is gonna be a four-day cleanup because we just got to really spend some time on
10:14these collections I think the value is worth that hopefully between 60 to 70 thousand dollars
10:19in sales typically I would do a 50 50 what would you think about that well I was kind of
10:27hoping
10:27maybe we could do like a 80 20 80 20 what would you think about that you're doing this sweet
10:37innocent southern charm I'm gonna give you the puppy dog eyes and I'm an old lady that's fixing
10:43to retire you want to retire but I want to retire someday too how about 60 40 I think I
10:50can live
10:51with 60 40 you got a deal deal we're gonna work our butts off for you thank you so much
10:55all right
10:55I'm gonna get everybody started we're gonna make you a lot of money so you can retire thank you all
10:59right thanks Vicki with Vicki agreeing to the deal and only four days to get this done we're off to
11:05the
11:05races as we begin hunting for rare beanie babies comic books and a signed Michael Jordan card the junk
11:11team has arrived and our first order of business is to go upstairs and start bringing these tubs that
11:16are full of cards down to the porch so that Mike and Chris can start sorting through them for anything
11:21worth big bucks if that sign Michael Jordan card is in this house we're gonna find it 91 Fleer
11:29this is insane ALF cards and I can feel the gum still in there feel this dude feel the gum
11:36still
11:36in there dude what sealed packs do you got are those desert storm cards yeah some desert storm back in
11:43the 90s everything had a trading card here you go teenage mutant ninja turtles all of this plus what's still
11:54coming down this is gonna be a monumental task but this is where you have to really be patient and
12:00also
12:00diligent about looking through this stuff because it is mind-numbing Tiger Woods Tiger Woods all these
12:11right off eBay it's all Tiger Woods all right we're finding their stuff in here oh look at this that's
12:20factory tape yep clear factory tape might be a surprise in here I don't know I'm starting to feel
12:28jittery it's not but wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute 1990s still in the box please tell
12:37me
12:37they're sealed they are sealed dude hot damn sweet this lets the buyer know it's never been opened it's never
12:46been gone through that's freaking awesome right there dude damn go finally man take that to Mike
12:53right away see what else you can get in there how you doing Chris uh living the dream this stack
12:59right
12:59here about two to three dollars each card so if I keep finding stacks like this out of all these
13:05boxes
13:07eventually it'll add up okay yes you probably have like a hundred bucks worth of cards there yeah I'll never
13:13turn away a hundred bucks but we need to add some zeros yeah we definitely do Chris Webber
13:19Mr. Time Out Clifford Robinson Mitchell Richman uh-oh what the best shooting guard basketball player ever
13:32Michael Jordan oh is that the Michael Jordan card we're looking for dude holy
13:44dude my heart is pounding right now this is 95 clear Jordan
13:54this card by itself isn't worth a whole lot but you know this could be a 30 40 50 dollar
13:59card no
14:00problem yeah this is not the Jordan card we're hoping to find and we might have to sell all these
14:05cards for bulk if we're gonna make any money yeah dude good job appreciate it even though the Michael
14:11Jordan card isn't signed the quality and quantity of Vicki's collection should allow us to make back
14:17some of the value that we've lost Michael Jackson Baltimore Ravens oh wow unopened box unopened box
14:27baseball football ALF Jurassic Park yeah they really didn't make a card for everything they made a
14:35card for oh Chris Chris Chris Chris Chris Chris hang on a second WCW cards Surfer Stang Steiner Brothers oh
14:44yeah
14:45that's yeah 91 oh yeah dude that's awesome we just have to get through the sorting and bank on finding
14:52some local buyers to come through some local buyers to come through and buy in bulk
15:06oh pretty cool anybody need a miniature vacuum it's day two and the treasure hunt continues Chris Kalen and I
15:15are going to continue to pick inside and I'm going to send Mike up to the garage to start picking
15:22baby
15:23you see that the pallet broke underneath me everything is just deteriorating in here this is where good stuff goes
15:31to die
15:33remember pogs pogs yeah yeah oh man we got Troy Aikman and Steve Young pog game this is my guy
15:44man this has
15:45You gotta be worried something.
15:46Holy crap, bro.
15:47What?
15:48Does it go all the way to the bottom?
15:49All the way to the bottom.
15:52We've got bin after bin after bin that Vicki hasn't been in in probably 20 years.
15:58Is that the W?
16:01Oh, .
16:02Avon, these are very collectible.
16:04It is a picker's paradise upstairs.
16:10Skybox.
16:12What's in here?
16:13Because this is super heavy.
16:15Oh, .
16:15It's Beanie Babies and cards.
16:17I want you to keep your eyes peeled for a Princess Diana bear.
16:20It's a purple one.
16:22Lines formed outside the Woodstock Hallmark this morning.
16:25Parents and kids all after the same prize, Beanie Babies.
16:30In the late 90s, sweet suburban moms morphed into toy store street fighters.
16:35They're gone.
16:36They're gone.
16:37Over plush toys with names like Tuffy and Smoochie.
16:40And it's all because of Beanie Babies.
16:42One of the biggest fads of the 90s, new Beanie Baby releases caused mass hysteria, leading
16:48to $1 billion in sales in 1997 alone.
16:52Then came the royal purple princess Diana bear.
16:55An early edition of the Princess bear was sold for $20,000 in 2021 on eBay.
17:02This is Mike Heaven up here, man.
17:06Oh, we had this one.
17:11Oh, these Beanie Babies.
17:13Nobody wants the Beanie Babies.
17:15But they steal every house they think they're worth something.
17:17You know, in the late 90s, collectors went into a frenzy buying these things.
17:21And now they're not really worth any more than they were originally sold for.
17:25Wow.
17:26All right.
17:26I'm sure it's not in here.
17:28Oh, it's kind of a letdown.
17:30All right.
17:31Let me get these out of the room.
17:33Okay.
17:34Well, no Princess Diana bear here.
17:36Just generic Beanie Babies that aren't going to sell for much.
17:39This is a massive bummer and it's putting a huge dent into our profits.
17:43Now that the upstairs of the house is cleared out, Chris and I are going to start hunting through the
17:47rooms downstairs.
17:49While Mike is meeting with a buyer about the sports cards that we sorted through earlier.
17:53Monroe, thanks for coming out.
17:54All right. Good to see you.
17:55See you too.
17:55I know you're a big sealed sports card guy, so you're the first person I thought of, first person I
18:03called,
18:03and you're the first person to see this collection.
18:05Take a look.
18:06See if you're interested.
18:07Okay.
18:08Yeah, they've got two boxes of these.
18:11The 1990 Fleer baseball sets is what these are.
18:15Got the factory seal on it.
18:17And then over here, you've got golf cards, more baseball, some NFL.
18:23Okay.
18:24Yeah.
18:24I'm interested in them.
18:25Cool.
18:26What do you think you need to get for them?
18:31How about five grand for the entire collection?
18:36Okay.
18:37I mean, I've run the numbers a little bit in my head here.
18:41Okay, I can do that.
18:43You got a deal, my friend.
18:44All right.
18:45All right.
18:48You know what? Just put it right down there.
18:49I'll start picking this.
18:51Where do you pick up the grill to a Chrysler?
18:55This is all kitchen stuff.
18:58What is this?
19:00Oh, this is heavy.
19:04Oh, .
19:06Hey, man.
19:07You.
19:08What you got?
19:10Look at this, dude.
19:13This is awesome.
19:15This is what we needed, man.
19:16This is why we do what we do.
19:19Chris somehow always finds money.
19:22It just follows him.
19:24Hey, dude.
19:25It's about 20 bucks right there.
19:27Silver.
19:27Silver.
19:28All right.
19:29That is an ounce of silver.
19:32Oh, wow.
19:34We got a lot of wheat pennies here.
19:37All right, but now this is what we're talking about.
19:39Silver dimes, dude.
19:40Some of these are going to have really good value for collectors.
19:44Some of these are going to have really good value for silver.
19:48All of this is made of silver, dude.
19:49This is a really good collection, dude.
19:52Coins are becoming a staple for us.
19:54I mean, old silver collections do make us money.
19:57These coins, they're in white little squares that are stapled.
20:01That lets me know it's old.
20:03And why that matters is the older the coin collection, the purer the silver is.
20:08It starts at 99, then it goes to 70%, then it goes to 40%, the closer it gets to our
20:13modern times.
20:13Ten years ago, an ounce of silver went for about $15.
20:17Now, it goes for about $50 an ounce.
20:20And that price continues to grow.
20:22Older silver makes us money.
20:24We love to find them in every house.
20:27I love it.
20:28Great job, dude.
20:30This is why you're here.
20:31This is why you make the big bucks.
20:41All right.
20:43This is not the sturdiest of barns, man.
20:46Yep, yep.
20:47While Chris keeps picking through the first floor rooms, Kayla and I are going to go check out the barn
20:51in the back.
20:52This is a five-acre property, and it takes tools and machinery to keep it looking nice.
20:57Both of those should be in the barn.
20:59If any are in good shape, they both can sell for good money.
21:03All right, I'm going in.
21:04All right.
21:06Man, there's a ton of metal in here.
21:13This is like my college dorm, man.
21:15The first, like, foot is all just beer cans.
21:24That's trash.
21:27When you're looking in a barn, you're looking for old crates, any old tools, maybe some old saws or some
21:32saw blades.
21:33Something that's vintage, that's old, that's been back there for 30, 40 years, that will make you money.
21:39I mean, right now, I don't see any value.
21:42I see some tools in here.
21:44Yeah, there's a few tools in the back here, but I gotta be honest.
21:48I'm nervous.
21:49I was hoping to find some treasures in this barn, but all I'm seeing is trash and dead ends.
21:55There's no value in here, guys. It's all trash.
22:02Who knows what we're looking at here, man.
22:04I always dig through every barn no matter what.
22:07The problem with no matter what is sometimes we win big, sometimes we don't.
22:12The only thing I can sell in here is chimney sweep, some old tools, and then there's some scrap metal
22:16on the floor.
22:17Mm-hmm.
22:18I got $100 in contents in here.
22:20I mean, I could sell the wood.
22:23The wood from the shit?
22:24All the walls.
22:25Yeah, all this old wood.
22:28It's black walnut.
22:29Oh, wow.
22:29This is vintage barn.
22:30You sell this to someone out in the country, they're like, I'm good.
22:32Yeah.
22:33It's firewood.
22:34But you sell this to somebody like in Boston, man, it's vintage barn wood from Tennessee.
22:40From the Smokies.
22:41I'm here to make money.
22:42A win is a win.
22:43I don't care if it's comic books out of a cedar chest or if it's wood off of a reclaimed
22:49barn.
22:50Cash is cash.
22:58400 cash?
22:59Yes, sir.
22:59You got a deal.
23:00Thank you very much.
23:01Thank you, man.
23:01Thank you, man.
23:01I appreciate it.
23:02I'll do four and a quarter.
23:03I'll tell you what, 450 and you got a deal.
23:05Sounds good to me, man.
23:06Awesome.
23:07Appreciate it.
23:07Thank you, man.
23:09It's day three.
23:10Now that the barn is clear, we're going to go back to the main floor of the house.
23:13We've started selling some of the smaller items, but we still need to find the comic books.
23:19Oh, I thought this was a Ouija board.
23:20That was great.
23:21No, sir.
23:22Man.
23:24This not the most hoarder I've seen.
23:26Take dispensers.
23:29Boxes and boxes.
23:30Is that what all those are?
23:32Yes.
23:33Oh.
23:33Oh, my God.
23:35Oh.
23:36Oh.
23:38Oh, man.
23:42Oh, man.
23:43Hey, Mike.
23:45Oh.
23:48Kay, what's up?
23:49Hey, bro, I think I found something that you would dance for.
23:54Holy .
23:55We've been looking for these.
23:57This is hundreds and hundreds of dollars right here.
23:59This is huge.
24:01Early Daredevil.
24:02Great condition.
24:038.0.
24:04And autographed.
24:06Like, oh, and Stan Lee.
24:07Oh, my God.
24:08Stan Lee signed this.
24:09Did I just find gold?
24:11Kay, give me a hug.
24:12Give me a hug, man.
24:12Aw, man.
24:14Dude, hold on.
24:16We got to look through the rest of this box here.
24:17Yeah.
24:18Look at this.
24:19Early Thor.
24:21Autographed Incredible Hulk.
24:23Oh, God.
24:25Early Fantastic Four.
24:26Oh, my God.
24:27We found them.
24:28We found them.
24:29Another Stan Lee.
24:31Oh, my God.
24:33I'm going to cry, dude.
24:34I'm literally going to cry.
24:36These comic books are some of the most iconic titles
24:39in comic book history.
24:41Absolutely amazing.
24:42I've never found a collection like this anywhere.
24:47Holy s**t, Kalen.
24:50What you got in your hand, man?
24:52Spider-Man number two.
24:54This is the third appearance of Spider-Man,
24:57the first appearance of Vulture,
24:58and it's a 9.0.
25:02Dude!
25:03This is crazy!
25:04Would that be my Spider-Sense returning?
25:07Can Spidey handle a sentinel's blast?
25:13Whoa.
25:14Back in 1938, when Superman debuted in Action Comics number one,
25:19no one had any idea that decades later comic books and superheroes
25:23would become a worldwide phenomenon.
25:24At Marvel Comics, comic book writer and publisher Stan Lee
25:30co-created many of the world's most iconic superheroes.
25:33Today, professionally graded and sealed comics
25:36can be worth 10 or even 100 times more than raw copies
25:39because collectors crave perfection.
25:43In 2024, a near-meant copy of Action Comics number one,
25:47Superman's first appearance sold for $6 million.
25:52Kalen, this is what we needed.
25:54This is everything.
25:56This is why we do this.
25:58Yep.
25:58And I'll tell you what, man.
25:59Like, my heart is pumping.
26:01I can't emphasize enough how huge this find is for us.
26:04This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience,
26:06and I'm enjoying every minute of it.
26:08Hands down, Vicky is the greatest comic book collector
26:11we've had to date, and I can't wait to line up a buyer.
26:16Mr. Goat.
26:23Day three's been great so far.
26:25We've finally found the comic books,
26:27and we've got a majority of the first floor of the house cleared out.
26:30Plus, if all goes well,
26:31I think we can get a pretty penny for this coin collection.
26:34Michael, thank you for coming down, man.
26:36I want to exchange some money for money.
26:38Yeah.
26:39That's what we're here for.
26:40What excites you about this table?
26:42All right.
26:43So here we have some half-dollars, quarters, some dimes.
26:47But one of the most interesting things we have here that you don't really see every day,
26:51this is a Seated Liberty dime.
26:54So this guy is from the mid-1800s, and it's in really nice condition.
26:58And that guy is worth a lot more than the value of the silver, unlike these other dimes.
27:03It's just not something you see very often.
27:06So if I look at all this, I'm hoping for $7,500.
27:11Mm-hmm.
27:12I'm more in about the $4,000 range.
27:15Walk me through.
27:16What's the reasoning on that?
27:19So a lot of this, the silver is just kind of sit around.
27:23I'm going to kind of piece this out as people come into my store just looking to buy some silver
27:28just to kind of have.
27:29Okay.
27:29So storage pricing on this.
27:31Yeah.
27:31Okay.
27:31I'm really stretching just to go five.
27:35Done.
27:36I'll take it.
27:36All right.
27:375,000 cash.
27:38Let's load this bad boy up.
27:44This garage is huge.
27:45Problem is, this is not the right place to store anything that you want to keep.
27:50Books, magazines, ephemera in general does not do well in spaces that are not climate controlled.
27:57So all of this has just got to go.
28:03All right.
28:04What do we have here?
28:05File cabinet.
28:06Oh .
28:07This window.
28:09Look what I found.
28:10This is a file cabinet.
28:12A lock safe should mean money.
28:14Hey, Matt.
28:15I hear my name.
28:17Where are you at?
28:18Holy cow.
28:19Your favorite thing.
28:21Best thing in the world.
28:26Well, holy crap, dude.
28:28This is exactly what I love.
28:29I know.
28:30Good job, dude.
28:30I saw this and I was like, I got to get Matt.
28:32All right.
28:33Could be filled with cash.
28:34Money.
28:35Diamonds.
28:35Could be filled with cash.
28:36Diamonds.
28:37Anything.
28:38Yeah.
28:38That's why I do this.
28:40This is a symbol of this entire job.
28:41This is potentially what we needed to get us over the top here.
28:51All right.
28:52Let's break this open.
28:54Other than having my kids, I think finding a safe is my favorite thing in the world.
29:00Yeah, Matt.
29:00We got burned by seats before.
29:02And we'll get burned 20 more times.
29:06All right.
29:07I love the thrill of maybe.
29:09Maybe it's gold.
29:10Maybe it's a million dollars.
29:11Maybe it's nothing.
29:12What could be in it?
29:13All right.
29:14Hold up.
29:14Right there.
29:17Come on.
29:18Damn it.
29:19I don't want to hit myself.
29:22There we go.
29:24So that's the inside case.
29:26Do you see down in there?
29:28Yeah.
29:28So that is only a half inch thick.
29:31I don't know, Chris.
29:32This seems like a good idea.
29:33Safe opening is not as difficult as you think.
29:36You got to have some strength.
29:38You got to have a buddy with a crowbar.
29:39And you got to have a little bit of ignorance.
29:40If you're willing to go for it, you can pretty much always pop it open.
29:43Here we go.
29:45I see it.
29:46I see where the bolts are.
29:48All right.
29:51Okay.
29:52All right.
29:52I think you can open it.
29:53Just open it.
29:54Oh.
29:56Yeah, man.
29:57Look at this.
29:58New stuff.
30:01Look at that.
30:02Well, maybe it's gold.
30:03This is why I love this job, man.
30:05I get excited.
30:07I feel like I'm a lost pirate's treasure.
30:09Silver and gold.
30:11Okay.
30:12This is junk.
30:13This is all costume.
30:15Let's do this.
30:17Boom.
30:19That, my friend.
30:21Look at this.
30:23That's gold, dude.
30:25More silver.
30:26Pearls.
30:27Some of these pieces are definitely worth something.
30:30Even your grandma's costume jewelry has real gold in it.
30:33Is that 14K?
30:34Boom.
30:35That's what we want, dude.
30:37Safe full of gold, baby.
30:39Look at this.
30:40Eh.
30:41This safe was okay.
30:42This, as my kids would say, this safe was mid.
30:44It was some decent jewelry.
30:45We'll sell some of it.
30:46Scrap some of it.
30:47But, someday, it's gonna have millions of dollars.
30:51Someday, I'm gonna have enough money in one of these safes to buy me an island.
30:56But it's not today.
30:58Here you go.
30:59All right.
31:00Five grand, baby.
31:01Yep.
31:01Let's do this.
31:07It's our final day in Tennessee, and everything we found must go.
31:11Let's see what you got, Miss Angela.
31:13I've got a lot of toys in here.
31:14Beanie babies.
31:15This beautiful clarinet.
31:17Yeah, I think 300 is where I'm comfortable at.
31:19That's the best you could do?
31:20Yes, ma'am.
31:21All right.
31:22Including the wood from the barn in the back.
31:25All right, dude.
31:26Here is the new plan.
31:27Believe it or not, we are taking this down piece by piece.
31:32We are basically pulling 120-year-old teeth.
31:37So we can't, like, yank on it.
31:39If it's a whole sheet, then it's worth good money.
31:42If we break it or crack it, it's not worth any money.
31:45I could have between $2,000 and $5,000 for the wood around this barn.
31:50But if I don't take my time and if I break it, then I've lost the value of the wood,
31:54and I've lost the value of my labor.
31:56Here you go, buddy.
32:04Taking 120-year-old nails out of boards is hard work.
32:09Dude, this is going to take a whole day.
32:12Yeah?
32:13We got the time?
32:14I mean, we kind of have to, man.
32:20Look at you.
32:21Yep.
32:23A designer is going to see this wood.
32:24They're going to see a picture of the barn, and then they're going to see a picture of us taking
32:27the wood down and reclaiming it.
32:28They're going to see the value in this.
32:30When you're building a million-dollar house, you've got to put something behind the story.
32:34And this, you guys, is a story.
32:37Making memories, Kalen.
32:38Yep.
32:38Another day hanging out with Kalen.
32:45I mean, we really got to be careful what we're doing with this.
32:52While Kalen and I are in the back acting like the Hulk tearing the barn apart, Mike is up front
32:57trying to work a deal on the comic books.
32:59We're still way behind on our goal on sales, but if Mike can sell all these comic books in bulk,
33:04he would be the real superhero of the day.
33:10Grant.
33:10Mike.
33:12Good to see you, buddy.
33:12Good to see you.
33:13It's been a while.
33:14Yeah.
33:14I've known Grant for years.
33:16He owns a comic book shop, and he's been collecting comics his whole life.
33:19The dude knows his stuff, and the great news is he may be able to absorb the sheer volume of
33:25Vicki's collection.
33:26But first, we need to make a deal.
33:28What you got for me?
33:30Dude, we have found a ton of comic books.
33:33I can see.
33:34There's a mixture of graded comics and just raw, ungraded comics.
33:38Okay.
33:39Everywhere I looked in these boxes, there was a lot of $10, $20, $50 books galore.
33:46But then, I hope you're ready for this.
33:49Fantastic Four number 18.
33:51Oh, wow.
33:52Yeah.
33:53Signed by Stan Lee.
33:54Signed by Stan Lee.
33:55Signed by Stan Lee.
33:55Yeah.
33:56That's awesome.
33:57Find another one of these.
33:58You're not going to?
33:59No.
34:00I'm just going to cut to the chase.
34:01Okay.
34:02There's a book in here.
34:03I think you might just blow your socks off.
34:05Sure thing.
34:06I'm going to hand it to you backwards.
34:08Okay.
34:11Holy .
34:12Yeah.
34:13Spider-Man number two, 9.0.
34:16Man.
34:17Yeah.
34:18I literally almost had a heart attack.
34:20Yeah.
34:20I'm about to have one right now.
34:22And I mean, the beauty of this is, it's already slabbed and graded.
34:26You know the condition.
34:27We know what we're dealing with.
34:27We know what we're dealing with.
34:28Oh, man.
34:29You know, you're not going to have too many opportunities to hold one of those.
34:33No, this would get me one step closer to completing my Amazing Spider-Man run.
34:36So.
34:37Oh, man.
34:38Oh.
34:39I've been collecting about 15 years, but never like this.
34:42Never in a place like this, with a book like this.
34:45Yeah.
34:45Well, let's talk some numbers.
34:47Okay.
34:48Yeah.
34:48Right now, I think $27,000 for this entire collection.
34:52Graded comics and all the boxes and bins you see out here.
34:56That's.
34:59Oh, I don't necessarily need all that.
35:02Would you be interested in just talking about the graded comics?
35:06Uh, look, here's the deal.
35:08We have a limited amount of time and we're trying to make the most money for Vicky.
35:12So I'm looking to make a deal on all of it.
35:16And I want to be clear.
35:17You will not get that book without getting the rest of the collection.
35:27It's the final day here in Tennessee and Vicky's property is almost all cleared out.
35:32Well, the crew puts in the final touches on the house.
35:35I'm going to go out back where the barn used to be.
35:37We tore it down, trashed the rotten boards and saved the valuable ones,
35:42which a buyer I have lined up might want to take off our hands.
35:45All right.
35:46So here's a barn on the ground.
35:49Awesome.
35:49We got long boards, medium boards, short boards.
35:53I mean, this is the kind of stuff, you know, I was looking for.
35:56Obviously, you know, there's some work that's going to need to be done on these.
36:00Um, planing, sanding, um, you can see here.
36:05Some of them have to come up a little higher.
36:07Yeah.
36:07I will say there's about 20 of them that are, that were down in the grass here.
36:11And so you're going to want to cut them.
36:12Yeah.
36:13So this might be an emotional price.
36:15Yeah.
36:16Yeah.
36:16As I tell my clients, don't price things emotionally.
36:18But dude, I took this thing down.
36:19Yeah.
36:20So let's start at 50 bucks a sheet.
36:23At 70 boards, that'd be $3,500.
36:26You know, I'd have to be closer to probably 10.
36:30Definitely, definitely no, no go on a 10 a board.
36:34Uh, we'll do 35.
36:39How about I'll do the 30, 30 board if you load them.
36:42You got a truck?
36:43I got a truck.
36:44I'll load it for you, man.
36:45Perfect.
36:46Awesome, dude.
36:46You got a deal.
36:47Awesome.
36:47Let's do this.
36:48We sold a barn.
36:59All right, Becky, it's time to see all the work we did.
37:01I'm excited.
37:02You deserve this.
37:03I'm excited for you.
37:04All right.
37:05Here's the first room.
37:06Oh my goodness me.
37:08Look at the sides of this thing.
37:11My gosh, look how big this room is.
37:15And these windows.
37:17You can see.
37:18They had plastic bags on them.
37:21Yeah.
37:21I've not looked out these windows in years.
37:23It's time to let light in.
37:25Absolutely, Matt.
37:26How you feeling?
37:27I feel great.
37:28Okay.
37:29After you.
37:31Look at this.
37:32Matt.
37:34Come on.
37:35This is unbelievable.
37:37I love it.
37:38It's unbelievable.
37:40When's the last time you had a dinner in here?
37:4215 years ago.
37:43I want your family in this house celebrating.
37:46This is a room for Thanksgiving, right?
37:49I want to be proud of this house.
37:51I really do.
37:52And I didn't have much to be proud of before.
37:55Now I do.
37:56I have so much to be proud of.
37:58It's going to be my forever, forever home.
38:01It's your home.
38:02My home.
38:03All right.
38:04You want to go upstairs?
38:06Yes, I do.
38:07Let's do it.
38:08Come on.
38:09All right.
38:10Look at the foyer.
38:13It's like a real room.
38:14Oh my gosh.
38:16I haven't seen the floor, Matt.
38:18I have not seen this floor.
38:20It's just incredible.
38:22It's just so much bigger than I realized.
38:24The room, the feel.
38:27I have space.
38:28I can move.
38:29Yeah.
38:29I don't come in here and feel anxious.
38:31I feel calm.
38:33I feel relaxed.
38:34I feel...
38:35I'm ready to do something.
38:36I'm so ready.
38:38Matt, this is wonderful.
38:39The money doesn't seem that important now.
38:43It's because look at...
38:45Look at this.
38:46Look what you've done.
38:47Look what you've done for me.
38:48The money is okay, but you give me my house back.
38:52You give me my home.
38:54Matt, nobody could have done...
38:56I mean, look what you did for me.
38:58Well, you had the nerve to call us.
39:01And think of how much bravery that took to call us.
39:04You let a bunch of strangers into your home.
39:07They're not strangers anymore.
39:08Not anymore.
39:09We sure know us.
39:11Well, you're being rewarded for taking that leap.
39:13And I think you need to remember that.
39:14You took a big leap.
39:16I couldn't do it by myself.
39:17I've never been able to do this by myself.
39:20But there was a time when you need help.
39:22And I called the right people.
39:26Oh, my...
39:27Big old garage.
39:29Oh, my goodness.
39:31Oh, my...
39:32I'm gonna turn this into a game room.
39:34A game room.
39:35Pool table.
39:36That'd be super fun.
39:37Pinball machines.
39:38You could.
39:39Little bar.
39:40I love it.
39:41I love it.
39:42All right.
39:42You ready to hear the numbers?
39:44Mm-hmm.
39:45We sold coins, gold.
39:48We sold baseball cards.
39:50We even sold the wood off the side of a barn.
39:53But on the comics, I mean, believe it or not, Mike sold the entire collection for $25,000.
40:05Oh, man.
40:07We sold so much stuff, believe it or not.
40:11Grand total.
40:14$60,000 in sales.
40:18We had a 60-40 split.
40:21Wow.
40:21Now, I talked to the guys.
40:23We really want to help you make this house a home.
40:27So, we're gonna go back to your original request, which was 80-20, which means $38,400 for you.
40:34Oh, man.
40:35And $9,600 for us.
40:37You deserve every penny of it, girl.
40:38Thank you, Matt.
40:40Oh, I love doing it, but this one's a little special.
40:46There you go.
40:47Oh, my goodness.
40:48The pocket wasn't really big enough for all this cash.
40:51Look at that.
40:52That's yours.
40:53Oh, man.
40:55They've made my house a home again.
40:58The money that I got is gonna go to this house every dime.
41:01I couldn't have done it without Matt and the team.
41:03We love it.
41:04We love you.
41:04We're just super happy for you.
41:05Thank you, Matt.
41:06You know, Vicki was all about the dollar bills when we got here.
41:09And by the end, she just wanted a hug.
41:12You know, she got her life back.
41:13And she made some money in that order.
41:15I can't thank you enough.
41:16One more hug.
41:18It's not always about the numbers.
41:19Sometimes it's just about helping people.
41:21But this week, we're able to do both.
41:23We made good money.
41:25And we made a really good person more money.
