00:00One trillion U.S. dollars. That's how much demand NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang sees for his company's AI computing power
00:08into next year.
00:09I see through 2027 at least one trillion dollars.
00:20NVIDIA came out swinging with new hardware going all in on AI infrastructure technology.
00:26The crown jewel of the company's GTC conference was its new Vera Rubin platform, designed to be the next major
00:33leap in AI infrastructure.
00:35Huang says Vera Rubin will usher in a new age of agentic AI, that is, AI capable of completing complex,
00:44multi-step tasks running on advanced reasoning and logic.
00:47You ask it, create, do, build. You ask it to use tools, take your context, read files.
01:00It's able to agentically break down a problem, reason about it, reflect on it.
01:05It's able to solve problems and actually perform tasks.
01:09Wherever there's conversations about technology, AI or chips, Taiwan is sure to come up.
01:15The company's semiconductor manufacturing prowess makes it a key partner for tech titans like NVIDIA.
01:21Given that Taiwan has such a rich history of building and developing the most advanced technologies in the world,
01:29it would be sort of a crime for it not to embrace AI as well to help continue that leadership.
01:35But it wasn't just NVIDIA making such a claim.
01:38Several Taiwanese tech firms like manufacturing giant Foxconn attended the conference,
01:43and Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Ximai also made an appearance to see how he could attract innovation to his city.
02:03Over four days, 30,000 people from around 190 countries poured into San Jose to attend NVIDIA GTC.
02:12The company has become a pioneer and trailblazer for AI tech, which is quickly defining the contemporary tech industry.
02:20But out of all those attendees, Taiwan plays a bigger role than most.
