Behind the AI innovations on display at the 2026 Nvidia GTC in San Jose are key players in Taiwan's tech supply chain. The companies exhibiting at the annual event say business is booming.

00:00Here at the 2026 NVIDIA GTC, Taiwan's tech companies are hard to mix.
00:06Right next to me is key supply chain players like Wishtron and Wei-In.
00:11Nearby is Inventech, a major AI server maker.
00:16And over there is leading power solutions provider, Zilta Electronics.
00:23Even household names like ASUS are here.
00:25NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang made a stop at the computer maker's booth.
00:30Signing his name on one of their products.
00:33Huang has also voiced his support for supplier Gigabyte,
00:36who is showing off some of his latest hardware at GTC.
01:08Ahead of GTC, Jensen Huang described,
01:10the AI industry as a five-layer cake.
01:13Starting from the button, there is energy, chips, infrastructure, models and applications.
01:20And most of these layers rely heavily on Taiwan's technology.
01:40Taiwan is best known for its hardware strengths.
01:43But many software startups are also here in Silicon Valley looking to win more clients and expand globally.
01:51The question now is how Taiwan can better stake its position in the AI race.
01:57At this year's GTC, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has repeatedly highlighted the importance of Taiwan's tech ecosystem.
02:05And here on the show floor, it's clear that Taiwanese companies cover every part of the AI supply chain.
02:13With global demand for AI high and the need for hardware to make it strong,
02:19these firms are expected to keep playing a key role in this booming industry.
