00:00:01OKC down by four. Kildress Alexander on a kick. Lou Dorton. Won't go. Offensive rebound but flipped into the front
00:00:09row by Wiggins. Out of bounds.
00:00:11I don't know why he was in such a hurry there to get that ball out. Did a great job
00:00:16getting the possession. Throws it out. Eighth turnover of the game for Oklahoma City.
00:00:22Celtics come in number two in the NBA in offensive rating. Their number five in defensive rating.
00:00:28Brown to Shireman. Can't get the three. Williams had it wrestled away. Knocked out of bounds. Off of OKC.
00:00:39Jalen Williams wants a challenger. I think this was the right call. Watch the battle here. I think the blast
00:00:45off of Jalen Williams.
00:00:47So Brown got his hands on it and then. I think it's got Jalen Williams left hand last but that's
00:00:55a tough call.
00:00:57Certainly not. It would not be one to challenge. Well there's not enough evidence to overturn. Exactly.
00:01:04Brown off the double team. Gonzalez. The back end. Missed it. From point blank range. But contested. Scooped up the
00:01:14floor by Joe.
00:01:18Into the trusted hands of SGA. Lines up a three. On target.
00:01:24It's only his fifth field goal attempt of the night. And he's got 13 points.
00:01:30To go along with three assists. Three rebounds. This is a nine nothing run to cut it to one.
00:01:36And a steal and a block for SGA. Brown gets tripped. Loses the ball. SGA on the move.
00:01:44Swing it. Ball fake Joe. That's a long two pointer. He's got it and a foul.
00:01:51Jalen Brown very upset. And I'm with him on this one. This is an obvious foul at the other end
00:01:58on the trip. He didn't just fall down. And now the turns around and Joe's got a chance at an
00:02:06old fashioned three point play.
00:02:12So the foul called on Hugo Gonzalez.
00:02:19OKC is seven of ten of the free throw line. The Celtics are two out of two.
00:02:28Well the Celtics are last in the league in free throw attempts. So not a big surprise.
00:02:35He's there. Brown crosses. And Brown draws the foul.
00:02:39The Brown was determined to make the referees blow the whistle there. Yes.
00:02:44He was going to go and get contact. After that last play Joe Mazula still talking to Sean Wright about
00:02:52the last play.
00:02:57So that's the call he got. This was the call he didn't get.
00:03:00I mean that's a trip on Lou Dort. I mean it's inadvertent. He didn't do it on purpose.
00:03:06And that is the first foul on an Oklahoma City starter almost 22 minutes into this game.
00:03:14Another free throw here for Jalen Brown. He can crack double figures.
00:03:20He has scored or assisted on a career high 41.3 points per game so far this season.
00:03:28His previous high was 35.6.
00:03:31Well he had a lot to prove this year.
00:03:33Everybody knew he was a good player.
00:03:37Mitchell called for the foul on a reach in.
00:03:39Was he a legitimate number one guy?
00:03:41Everybody knew he was a great number two, an all-star even.
00:03:45But could he be a number one?
00:03:47He silenced anyone who doubted him.
00:03:50And Ugo Gonzalez comes up with another offensive rebound and another opportunity for the Celtics.
00:03:57We approach two minutes to go in this second quarter.
00:04:00Pritchard fend off.
00:04:02Garza keeps it moving.
00:04:05Gets it back. Garza.
00:04:07And the jumper is silky smooth.
00:04:12Luca Garza another one.
00:04:14Career highs across the board except for free throw attempts and free throw percentage.
00:04:20Everything else at a career high.
00:04:23Celtics have a lot of guys taking advantage of an increased opportunity.
00:04:26Bullseye for home grid.
00:04:28You think the game's changed in the last ten years?
00:04:32A little bit.
00:04:32You know we got seven footers now shooting threes.
00:04:36Skip it.
00:04:37Pritchard.
00:04:38Extra.
00:04:38Gonzalez.
00:04:39He cans it from long range.
00:04:41The corner pop.
00:04:42Well that's their 8-3.
00:04:45Boston 25-3 iron when they make 16 or more threes in their halfway there right now.
00:04:52Gildas Alexander with the offhand.
00:04:56He's got 15 points.
00:04:58Brown stripped of the ball.
00:05:00Out of bounds.
00:05:00Last touch by OKC with a minute ten to go.
00:05:09And Sam Cassell just went over to Joe Mazzula to remind him that Jalen Brown was playing with three fouls.
00:05:17And Mazzula agreed with Cassell and sent in Shireman.
00:05:22I'm a little surprised that Sam Cassell has not gotten a head coaching job in these last few cycles.
00:05:28One of the most respected assistants in the league.
00:05:31Great relationships with players it seems.
00:05:34And has been on very successful coaching staffs.
00:05:37The ball fake.
00:05:40Shireman.
00:05:41Step back three.
00:05:43Rimming in for Shireman.
00:05:45Put it on the board.
00:05:49Sam Cassell stepped up and told his head coach hey this might be a move worthwhile.
00:06:0044 seconds to go.
00:06:01Shot clock is down to nine.
00:06:05Backing in Gildas Alexander fake on a double.
00:06:08Rising up.
00:06:09And he hits.
00:06:10Yes.
00:06:11I think Shireman's got to commit to the ball on that possession.
00:06:15Celtics a big two for one team.
00:06:17Especially Pritchard.
00:06:18He will look to get a shot up here.
00:06:20And he does.
00:06:21Off the rim.
00:06:23Gildas Alexander has 17 points.
00:06:27Got a five second difference.
00:06:28Shot clock the game clock.
00:06:29Mitchell drifting for two.
00:06:3617 seconds left.
00:06:38We are all tied up.
00:06:40Off the double team.
00:06:42Thunder have made their last six shots.
00:06:45Pritchard seven seconds left.
00:06:47Dort draws the assignment.
00:06:50Pritchard trying to shake free.
00:06:51Dort goes for the steal.
00:06:53And a foul is called out front on Lou Dort.
00:06:59Well I had one to give.
00:07:01Great to be aggressive there.
00:07:05Mark Dagnall will send in Case and Wallace.
00:07:09And he will replace Isaiah Joe.
00:07:14It's an outstanding defensive lineup out there.
00:07:18For OKC.
00:07:19Every one of those perimeter guys is a plus defender.
00:07:24Only by having Caruso on the floor could they get any better out there defensively.
00:07:28Ron Harper Jr. in.
00:07:313.4 on the clock.
00:07:32Shireman to Pritchard.
00:07:34Step back Jay.
00:07:36At the horn.
00:07:37He does it again.
00:07:39Peyton Pritchard.
00:07:44Last second theatrics is in his DNA.
00:07:50Wow.
00:07:53That's good defense.
00:07:56And better offense.
00:08:00Coming up.
00:08:02On the half.
00:08:04Celtics and Thunder.
00:08:05Thoughts from the studio.
00:08:07Taylor Rooks.

00:08:12That's after the break.
00:08:14With the half.
00:08:14Presented by AT&T.
00:08:1859-56.
00:08:19Celtics leading the Thunder.
00:08:21You're watching the NBA on Prime.
00:08:22Presented by Wingstop.
00:08:23Don't let anybody see.
00:08:26On my own.
00:08:27Here we go.
00:08:28Here we go.
00:08:29Here we go.
00:08:33Time to clock in with the top ten plays.
00:08:35Starting off with Jordan Miller going left to right.
00:08:39And then finishing hard with the left as he gets past the Wolves defense.
00:08:44And McDaniels catches the worst of it.
00:08:47Coming in at number nine.
00:08:49Paolo Bencaro running the rock.
00:08:51And he throws it up top to Tristan Da Silva.
00:08:54Who reaches back and slams it.
00:08:57Check it out again.
00:08:58The replay.
00:08:59Twice as nice.
00:09:00Da Silva.
00:09:01Coming in at number eight.
00:09:03Derrick Jones Jr.
00:09:04Playing defense.
00:09:05That leads to offense.
00:09:07Check it out.
00:09:08He gets the steal.
00:09:08And the no look tap back.
00:09:11Allows Garland to walk right into a wide open triple DJ.
00:09:16Doing it all.
00:09:18Coming in at number seven.
00:09:21Kawhi Leonard cutting through the lane.
00:09:24And leaves it for the aforementioned Jordan Miller.
00:09:28Young man I was unfamiliar with your game.
00:09:33Coming in at number six.
00:09:35More Clippers action in transition.
00:09:37Garland leaves it for Kawhi Leonard.
00:09:42McDaniels will have his revenge later in the highlights.
00:09:47Coming in at number five.
00:09:49Bryce Sensaba with the beautiful dime.
00:09:52He just left that dime in the lane.
00:09:54Cody Williams picks it up.
00:09:55That's free money for Cody.
00:09:58Bryce Sensaba with the sense.
00:10:01Coming in at number four.
00:10:03Jayden McDaniels.
00:10:04This is your moment.
00:10:06Going from two hands to one mid air.
00:10:09Getting his revenge on the Clippers.
00:10:13Coming in at number three.
00:10:15The human highlight reel.
00:10:16That is Neat Clifford.
00:10:18As he gets in the paint and detonates.
00:10:21On Xavier Tillman Sr.
00:10:23Number two belongs to Eves Meesey.
00:10:26And his teammates.
00:10:27As Meesey gets up for the block.
00:10:30And the ball movement finds a wide open Zion Williams.
00:10:33Who takes his time.
00:10:34Before he lets go on the windmill finish.
00:10:37Check it out right here.
00:10:38Above the rim action.
00:10:41From Zion.
00:10:42And number one.
00:10:44Donovan Mitchell breaking ankles with the right to left.
00:10:47Snatch back.
00:10:48Puts Penda on the floor.
00:10:50And after that.
00:10:51He takes a cool second to enjoy the moment.
00:10:54As he drains the triple.
00:10:57For your top play.
00:10:59Anytime anybody's in the same conversation as Will.
00:11:01It's obviously something great.
00:11:02Being in a conversation with a guy like that.
00:11:05It's special.
00:11:06It's still a lot to even like wrap my head around.
00:11:08And to be honest with you.
00:11:09I try not to even like think about it.
00:11:11So many things have to go right.
00:11:12We need to get what you ultimately want.
00:11:13It gets 100% of my focus.
00:11:15Especially basketball wise.
00:11:17It's crazy to think that where I was 10 years ago.
00:11:19I'd be here today.
00:11:20You work hard.
00:11:21You trust the process.
00:11:22You look up.
00:11:22And great things can happen for you.
00:11:24I'm a testament.
00:11:29Welcome to the half.
00:11:31Presented by AT&T.
00:11:36Halftime in OKC.
00:11:37The Celtics lead the Thunder 59 to 56.
00:11:40Welcome on in.
00:11:41I'm Taylor Brooks.
00:11:42John Wall.
00:11:42Candace Parker.
00:11:43And Udonis Haslam.
00:11:44Two top five defenses going head to head tonight.
00:11:47Both shorthanded.
00:11:48OKC used a 10-0 run to get right back in it.
00:11:51It's a three point game after that Peyton Pritchard dagger.
00:11:55Heavyweight battle here UD.
00:11:57What are these two teams bringing out of one another.
00:11:59I mean they're forcing each other to use their basketball IQ.
00:12:02You're not going to come down and get your first option.
00:12:04You're going to have to get you your second or third option.
00:12:06It's going to come down to situations like who can execute.
00:12:09Who can guard without filing.
00:12:10Who can get the ball where it needs to go.
00:12:12And then lastly.
00:12:13I'm looking at Boston.
00:12:15It's 14.
00:12:16Excuse me.
00:12:1614 to 7 offensive rebounds.
00:12:18If you even make that 7-7.
00:12:20You're winning this game by seven points.
00:12:22So.
00:12:23If OKC is able to take care of that offensive rebounding.
00:12:26Then it's a different ball game.
00:12:27But they don't have their scores.
00:12:28They need those easy buckets.
00:12:30Offensive rebounds.
00:12:31Different things like that.
00:12:31So.
00:12:32This is going to be a game where it's not going to necessarily be about.
00:12:34The first option.
00:12:35It's going to be about who can execute down the stretch.
00:12:37And get things going.
00:12:38I love what Boston did.
00:12:39You know what I mean.
00:12:39When Jalen Brown got in foul trouble in the first.
00:12:41Those other guys stepped up.
00:12:43They made big shots.
00:12:44But what they did.
00:12:45Start the second quarter.
00:12:46It was 28-27.
00:12:47Start the second.
00:12:47They went on a 10-2 run.
00:12:49Those guys were defending well.
00:12:50Getting out in transition.
00:12:51Making shots.
00:12:52But the other guys are making plays.
00:12:54And that's the key for them.
00:12:55But.
00:12:55They're going to do what Boston did.
00:12:56They're not getting to the free throw line a lot.
00:12:58But they're getting up a lot of threes.
00:12:59And if those guys get open looks.
00:13:00They're going to knock them down.
00:13:02In Boston.
00:13:03You speak of the others.
00:13:04And you talk about OKC.
00:13:06Working their way back in this game.
00:13:07On their defense.
00:13:08I think this is their sixth game.
00:13:10They've won six before this.
00:13:11And they've hung their hat on their defense.
00:13:14And their ability to have the switch abilities.
00:13:16They blitzed Jalen Brown.
00:13:17And made the others beat them early.
00:13:19And honestly.
00:13:20In the middle of the second quarter of the game.
00:13:22Could have gone either way.
00:13:23And they were able to work their way back into the game.
00:13:25By one.
00:13:26Having SGA on your team.
00:13:28That's shooting an efficient five of seven.
00:13:30Getting to the free throw line.
00:13:31But two.
00:13:32Being able to rely on their defense.
00:13:34And getting out in transition.
00:13:35Yeah.
00:13:35And on the other side.
00:13:36The Celtics defense playing very well as well.
00:13:38Forced the Thunder into eight first half turnovers.
00:13:41Scored 14 points off those turnovers.
00:13:42And OKC only commits about 12 a game.
00:13:45That's a mark that's second in the NBA.
00:13:47What is Boston doing so well defensively?
00:13:50I mean they're flying around.
00:13:51They're being active.
00:13:52They're being disruptive.
00:13:53They're getting steals.
00:13:54They're getting out in transition.
00:13:55But what Boston does is they have a system.
00:13:57They don't give you anything easy.
00:13:58And what you know the thing about the NBA is.
00:14:00The percentages change the closer you are to guys when they get up shots.
00:14:03So if you're talking about a guy that's shooting a two pointer.
00:14:05And you're four feet away.
00:14:06The percentage is about 53 percent.
00:14:09If you're five feet away.
00:14:10Then the percentage goes up to 58 percent.
00:14:12So just being in his airspace.
00:14:13Making guys uncomfortable.
00:14:14Completely changes the trajectory of his shots.
00:14:16And the confidence that the guy taking the shot has.
00:14:18And I think also.
00:14:19You look at Kato.
00:14:20They putting Kato and Luke Dorton in the starting lineup.
00:14:21Or are they going to put him on Alice Crusoe in the second lineup.
00:14:25So he's got an opportunity just to roam around.
00:14:27He don't have to worry about guarding check.
00:14:29They can pick and pop and make those threes or Jalen Williams.
00:14:31So he's there protecting the paint.
00:14:33So those guys understand they can get into the ball a bit more.
00:14:35And he's going to drop coverage to protect that paint for them.
00:14:38And I just feel like the others.
00:14:39You look at two of these franchises that have both won the last two championships in the league.
00:14:43You look at their depth.
00:14:44And it's like those guys that are going to get you through this parts of the season.
00:14:48You talk about Boston Celtics doing a great job of featuring and plugging.
00:14:52I mean I understand obviously Harper's playing well.
00:14:55Our teammate Blake Griffin's favorite player Walsh playing well.
00:14:59So when you have a system like the Celtics like the Thunder have.
00:15:03You plug in these guys and they're able to then excel and win you these games that are in the
00:15:07middle of March.
00:15:08That will take you home and get you great seating in the playoffs.
00:15:11And certainly got to say a game within the game tonight.
00:15:14Shay already has 17 points.
00:15:16He's three away.
00:15:17Come on now.
00:15:17From his potential 127 straight 20 point game.
00:15:20You thought he might get it in the first.
00:15:22And AJ Mitchell shot that pull up he made.
00:15:24I was like man give it him.
00:15:25Give it SGA for the three real quick.
00:15:26I want the first half 20 points.
00:15:28We're trying to watch history.
00:15:29You're not allowed to give it to him when he going for a record.
00:15:32You can't do that.
00:15:33They don't like that.
00:15:34They don't like that.
00:15:34They don't like that out there.
00:15:35They don't like that out there.
00:15:36You're not allowed to give it to the player when he going for a record.
00:15:38We get it.
00:15:39We get it.
00:15:39Time for core connection.
00:15:41Presented by AT&T.
00:15:43Faye and Prinscher.
00:15:44Dishing it off to Jalen Brown for the dunk.
00:15:46Brown has nine points.
00:15:48The Celtics are up by three.
00:15:50And the second half is just ahead from OKC.
00:16:06How you doing?
00:16:07How are you?
00:16:08I'm good.
00:16:09Let's get it.
00:16:11Yeah.
00:16:12Yeah.
00:16:13Yeah.
00:16:13Yeah.
00:16:14Yeah.
00:16:14Hey, big cats home.
00:16:15Big cats home.
00:16:17I'm proud of you, bro.
00:16:18Congratulations.
00:16:19I'm proud of you, bro.
00:16:20J. Will and Al Horford in the crouch awaiting the opening toss.
00:16:24Underway.
00:16:27There's the split action.
00:16:28Cryer.
00:16:29That's our rook.
00:16:44It's our game, right?
00:16:46It's our game if we lock in, right?
00:16:49They go cross court on the skip pass.
00:16:51Boom!
00:16:53The pass!
00:16:56Native crossover.
00:16:57Drive inside.
00:16:58Lay up.
00:16:59Banks it home.
00:17:01Anytime he goes under, if you want the shot, it will be.
00:17:06Pajemski.
00:17:07Freeze and fire.
00:17:08Good shot, boy, boy.
00:17:10If we get stops, it's play.
00:17:12All right?
00:17:13Here we go.
00:17:13Together.
00:17:14One, two, three.
00:17:15Richard double-team.
00:17:16All over.
00:17:17Gets it out to Catum.
00:17:18Catum kicks it out.
00:17:20Tatum.
00:17:21Tatum hits the three.
00:17:23Jason Tatum a big bucket back up to 12.
00:17:25And notice pockets of the game where we were playing with a sense of competitive joy
00:17:30and togetherness.
00:17:31Right?
00:17:31That's what got us through.
00:17:32And that's what we have to keep.
00:17:33Jalen Brown is unstoppable.
00:17:35Jalen Brown on a free run to the rim.
00:17:37He has handled the pressure of being the number one option well.
00:17:41He relishes in getting 1% better than whatever that looks like.
00:17:45Jalen Brown believes he is the best two-way player in the world.
00:17:48I wish he was doing whatever the game requires him to do.
00:17:50That's what a finals MVP looks like.
00:17:53Rattled by Smith and somehow he finished it with the left hand.
00:17:57You think that guy's going to win the MVP?
00:17:58He's going to be in the conversation, that's for sure.
00:18:05Stay with us after the game for NBA Nightcap.
00:18:08We've got a very special guest joining us, Clippers guard Chris Dunn.
00:18:12He's going to be live in studio.
00:18:14Dunn and the Clippers are 6-1 so far this month.
00:18:16Much to discuss.
00:18:18All right, in OKC it's the top team in the West.
00:18:20The Thunder against the number two team in the East.
00:18:23The Celtics.
00:18:23Boston leads it 59-56.
00:18:27It is a battle.
00:18:28The second half is next.
00:18:32The half is presented by AT&T.
00:18:35Connecting changes everything.
00:18:50Business as usual.
00:18:5130 points a game.
00:18:53Doing what he does.
00:18:54Efficient from the field.
00:18:55Efficient from three.
00:18:56Gets to the line.
00:18:57He is a legitimate superstar and another MVP candidate this season.
00:19:01Here in their last game against the Knicks.
00:19:05Losing by 39.
00:19:06He knew this fast start was imminent.
00:19:08But they've got that guy to sell it down.
00:19:10And one opportunity for SGA.
00:19:12That's just a ridiculous shot.
00:19:13Without turning the ball over March 8th, 2014 against Sacramento.
00:19:18SGA makes it home.
00:19:20He's just got that thing on such a string.
00:19:22Spencer Jones will try.
00:19:24No.
00:19:25Jokic's got a hand on it.
00:19:26But SGA steals it.
00:19:27What a rebound.
00:19:286-11 wingspan coming to play there.
00:19:30Another spin and an easy first.
00:19:32This time it's with the spin.
00:19:34Take your time.
00:19:35Play at your own pace.
00:19:36Nobody's in a hurry.
00:19:38It's just SGA balling out again.
00:19:40He's left in this first half.
00:19:41It's Gilchis Alexander on the kick.
00:19:43The three is good.
00:19:45Here's SGA on the step back.
00:19:48Three.
00:19:48It's Gilmore.
00:19:50Will Chamberlain has company for the 126th consecutive game.
00:19:56SGA has 20-plus.
00:19:58Double comes.
00:20:00He doesn't care.
00:20:01He wants to go to work.
00:20:03Finds Williams.
00:20:04Patience for Terry.
00:20:11Under five to play.
00:20:13SGA again.
00:20:14Perfect defense.
00:20:15Doesn't matter.
00:20:16The bank is open all the time for that man.
00:20:20That's a tough shot, man.
00:20:22SGA stopped.
00:20:24Hopped.
00:20:24Splash.
00:20:27He is a killer.
00:20:32SGA with five.
00:20:34SGA stepped back.
00:20:35Three.
00:20:35He's got it.
00:20:37And on a night that he ties Will Chamberlain, SGA's greatest hit star continues.
00:20:45He's got it.
00:20:46Didn't go out.
00:20:46Go.
00:20:46Let's go.
00:21:23It feels great.
00:21:24Our team was great all night, put us in position, and had to bring us home.
00:21:28MVP.
00:21:54Welcome back here into the studio.
00:21:56Taylor works here with John Wall, Candice Park, Udonis Hazem.
00:21:58They're having some technical difficulties in Oklahoma City.
00:22:01We will get you back to the action as soon as possible.
00:22:03But until then, let's dive into what we saw there in the first half.
00:22:06And what do you think the message was for Joe Mazzulla in the locker room?
00:22:10I mean, continue to play harder.
00:22:12Continue to play harder.
00:22:12You're down a few guys.
00:22:13You're down Derek White.
00:22:14You're down Dacent Tatum.
00:22:15But I look at this stat, and the second chance points and fast break points,
00:22:18you have 25 combined to OKC's 14.
00:22:21So when you look at that, these are the situations and the positions
00:22:24where you can gain a little bit of ground because you're not going to be able
00:22:27to match these guys bucket for bucket.
00:22:29So the game within the game is you have to dominate the effort areas.
00:22:31I've got to think that the conversation around guarding SGA is a huge topic
00:22:37around the league, not just in the Boston Celtics locker room.
00:22:40But UD and I were in the back talking about gaps.
00:22:43And if you give SGA a gap and you don't fully commit, he's going to take it.
00:22:50And you saw that down the stretch where the Celtics were in a zone.
00:22:54They kind of half committed because they were scared to leave the 45 shooter.
00:22:59And then SGA is able to get to his left spot pull-up.
00:23:02And so it's just making sure that you're not giving him the same read.
00:23:06He's going to make tough shots.
00:23:08But just making sure that you're putting bodies in front of him.
00:23:11I think that Reed's going to try to change, but he's seen every coverage.
00:23:14Like we said, he dictates the game throughout the process of all that.
00:23:17But I think with Boston, most importantly, the other guys,
00:23:20continue to make shots, continue to get into the paint,
00:23:23continue to create for others.
00:23:24And Jalen Brown, don't pick up your fourth out early.
00:23:26You picked up your third, lucky guys held it down for you.
00:23:29Pritchard made a tough shot.
00:23:30But they're going to need him to stay in this game close to close it out in the fourth.
00:23:33I have a question for you.
00:23:34And you can tell me this because as a big, I felt I was in a bad spot as a
00:23:40big two soft trap.
00:23:41Yes.
00:23:42As a guard, if you don't feel my presence, if I don't disrupt the ball
00:23:46and I just put two to the ball and it's a soft trap, that gives SGA everything he wants.
00:23:51He has the pass, he has the drive, he has so many things.
00:24:02All right, Taylor, thanks very much as we deal with our technical issues.
00:24:07As of this moment, we do not have a mic for Stan Van Gundy.
00:24:11Pritchard misses on a three ball.
00:24:13And a foul is called off the rebound action with the Celtics leading it 59-56.
00:24:27What this Boston team has done, undermanned, playing without Jason Tatum tonight.
00:24:32They've been used to that all season long, but missing the always reliable Derek White.
00:24:39Brown and foul dribble, gets inside, kicks it.
00:24:42The Shireman jumper doesn't go.
00:24:44Brown with the offensive board.
00:24:46The putt back is good and a foul.
00:24:48Jalen Brown going to the free throw line for a chance at three.
00:24:56Brown now with 11 points.
00:25:00And can tack on another here.
00:25:08Brown was ejected in that loss to San Antonio in the second quarter.
00:25:13He played just 15 minutes.
00:25:18In addition to the 12 points, he has four assists.
00:25:24Oklahoma City enters action at 51-15.
00:25:27Best record in the NBA.
00:25:29Mitchell lob it up.
00:25:30Home grid with the finish.
00:25:32Perfect delivery by Mitchell.
00:25:35Home grid's got 12.
00:25:37Brown off the made basket.
00:25:40Shireman.
00:25:42Old school.
00:25:43No.
00:25:44Grabbed by home grid.
00:25:47Shea Gilgis Alexander has 17 points.
00:25:52Give it up.
00:25:54Doord has not been heavily involved offensively.
00:25:56Can't hit the three.
00:25:57A discard.
00:25:58And it's called against Garza.
00:26:01And home grid goes down.
00:26:09So, Chad Holmgren took a shot.
00:26:13Celtics thought they were going to be running the other way.
00:26:15Instead, OKC maintains possession with 14 to shoot.
00:26:2462-58.
00:26:26Boston in front.
00:26:31SGA.
00:26:33Step-back jumper.
00:26:34It's short.
00:26:36And it's tracked down by Doord.
00:26:39Case and Wallace can't hit the three.
00:26:43And it's grabbed by Pritchard.
00:26:45Loop it ahead.
00:26:47Hauser.
00:26:48Stripped to the ball by Mitchell.
00:26:49And it's knocked out of bounds.
00:26:52Gilgis Alexander is on the brink of NBA history.
00:26:59126 straight games.
00:27:01Scoring at least 20 points.
00:27:08Brown the fend off.
00:27:09That jumper is too strong.
00:27:11Shireman taps it over to Pritchard.
00:27:14That's been a major theme throughout the night.
00:27:17Celtics second chance opportunities.
00:27:19Pritchard.
00:27:20Kick.
00:27:20Hauser.
00:27:21Clean look.
00:27:23Garza couldn't grab it.
00:27:25Door does.
00:27:26Shireman digging at the ball.
00:27:30And they clear it for SGA.
00:27:35Kills is Alexander.
00:27:36The cutter as well as so much attention given to SGA.
00:27:40It frees up others.
00:27:44Boston is one of six from the field in this third quarter.
00:27:47They've got a two-point lead.
00:27:50Hauser kicked.
00:27:52Pritchard actually thought about it for a moment.
00:27:55Garza.
00:27:56Straight away.
00:27:57Trey.
00:27:58Short.
00:28:00Kills is Alexander with the board.
00:28:05Get into the offense.
00:28:06Mitchell rims out on a triple.
00:28:09And a foul is called as Hauser and Dort were battling.
00:28:13And it will be Dort picking up the personal.
00:28:17SGA with the vision.
00:28:21What he did shooting the ball the other night is what grabbed the headlines.
00:28:25But he had a season of high 15 assists in that thrilling win over Denver on Monday night.
00:28:35OKC comes in.
00:28:37Best record in the NBA.
00:28:38Two and a half ahead of San Antonio.
00:28:40Hauser.
00:28:41Kaboom on a three.
00:28:44We got a timeout with 9-10 remaining in the third.
00:28:47Celtics pick it up where they left off in the second.
00:29:01Now if you've been to our games in the past, you may remember a fun one.
00:29:07Our post-Oke Toyota putt.
00:29:09Now we're switching things up a little bit tonight.
00:29:12We've got our contestant here, Ronnie.
00:29:14Now Ronnie entered the sweepstakes, which not only got him two tickets to tonight's game,
00:29:20but he also has the opportunity to make one putt to go home with a brand new Toyota Camry.
00:29:28This is big, Ronnie.
00:29:30Now I believe in you.

00:29:33All right.
00:29:34So we're going to start at this end.
00:29:39Let's move the cables.
00:29:40Here we go.
00:29:41Line up your shot, Ronnie.
00:29:43Now fans, this is a big deal.
00:29:45All right.
00:29:46Toyota Camry on the line.
00:29:48We believe in you, man.
00:29:52Here we go.
00:29:53Whenever you're ready, Ronnie.
00:29:57Try for show, but you putt for dough.
00:30:01Put a little oomph on it.
00:30:02Here we go.
00:30:03Oh, it looks good.
00:30:04Oh, it does not look good.
00:30:07It does not look good at all, Ronnie.
00:30:08I'm sorry.
00:30:09That's way off.

00:30:15How about this?
00:30:16A personalized putter and a Thunder prize pack.
00:30:20You're not going to go home empty-handed.
00:30:21Make some noise for our contestant.
00:30:24And the post-up Toyota putt.
00:30:26Let's hear it for Ronnie.

00:31:26This is Draco calling it bullshit.
00:31:28What?
00:31:28It got wood on it.
00:31:29She think that she special.
00:31:31I'm gonna put it on.
00:31:37I put it on.
00:31:40I put it on.
00:31:41I put it on.
00:31:44I put it on.
00:31:46I put it on.
00:31:46I put it on.
00:31:48I put it on.
00:31:56Welcome back to the NBA on Prime, presented by Wingstop.
00:32:00We are here in Oklahoma City, where the Boston Celtics lead the Thunder 65-60.
00:32:06Shea Gilgis-Alexander with 17 points.
00:32:10He's three points away from hitting the 20-point mark for the 127th consecutive game.
00:32:17Lou Dorton got a three.
00:32:21Thunder cut it to two.
00:32:278.50 remaining in this third quarter.
00:32:34Brown on a switch.
00:32:35He's got Mitchell now defensively.
00:32:38Brown, fend off, floater.
00:32:40He's got it.
00:32:43One of the best mid-range shooters and scorers in this league.
00:32:47Thanks for having me back.
00:32:50A little paid vacation there for me.
00:32:52Stan, America has spoken.
00:32:53They said that was your best segment of the season.
00:32:57Case and Wallace gets inside and puts it down.
00:33:04Celtics up by two.
00:33:07Highly competitive matchup between the number one team in the West against the number two team in the East.
00:33:13Brown had it knocked away.
00:33:15And a reach-in foul was called.
00:33:17Wallace can't believe it.
00:33:20Well, Brown just wanted to use his size there on Case and Wallace.
00:33:26Again, I don't think we'll see a challenge there from OKC.
00:33:30Yeah, he got it.
00:33:32Got him.
00:33:33His left arm on Brown's left arm.
00:33:38So, Brown to the free throw line.
00:33:4314 points for Jalen Brown.
00:33:46This is a role he's been in throughout the season where he's been number one in the absence of Jason
00:33:51Tatum.
00:33:52Tatum has played three games, recovering from his ruptured Achilles.
00:33:57And when we talked to Joe Mazzullo about it prior to the game, he said, look, the sports science team
00:34:04has made the decision.
00:34:05We respect it.
00:34:06They wanted him to sit this one out.
00:34:09Up next, they're home for Washington on Saturday, and the plan would be for Tatum to return.
00:34:16Yeah, they've got six of their next seven at home.
00:34:19Switch out front.
00:34:21Mitchell.
00:34:25Back out for Giltus Alexander.
00:34:28The drive.
00:34:29He's fouled.
00:34:32And SGA is going to the free throw line with 17 points on the night.
00:34:40I mean, this guy's just so good on the drive, leads the NBA in drive points, leads the NBA in
00:34:50made free throws.
00:34:51He's the number two scorer in the NBA at 31.7 points per game behind just Luka Doncic.
00:34:59Well, he's number one in the league in field goals made.
00:35:03He's number one in the league in free throws made.
00:35:05He's number one in the league in drive points.
00:35:08He's number one in the league in clutch points.
00:35:10You want me to add to it?
00:35:11He's number one in the league in plus minus.
00:35:13There you go.
00:35:15All to say, he's a pretty good player.
00:35:18And he has one point away from an NBA record.
00:35:22Seven of eight at the free throw line.
00:35:25Pritchard.
00:35:28Get it back from Garza.
00:35:30Tight defense from Dort.
00:35:33Shireman fumbled it for a moment.
00:35:36Hauser.
00:35:37That's a grenade and he doesn't get it off.
00:35:41Well, that's a great defensive possession by the best defensive team in the NBA.
00:35:51Celtics lead it 69-67.
00:35:547.19 to go.
00:35:55Third quarter.
00:35:57Mitchell picked up by Brown.
00:36:01Gildas Alexander.
00:36:04Crowd anticipating.
00:36:07Fires.
00:36:08And hits.
00:36:09An incredible streak.
00:36:12Puts SGA into the record books.
00:36:15127 consecutive games.
00:36:18Scoring at least 20 points as he passes the great Wilt Chamberlain.
00:36:28Dorks three.
00:36:32And Mitchell is there for cleanup duty.
00:36:46A model of consistency and greatness.
00:36:55Shea Gilgis Alexander now stands alone most consecutive games with 20 points or more.
00:37:06He owns the all-time record.
00:37:12A timeout at OKC.
00:37:14We're back after this on Pride.
00:37:19A timeout at OKC.
00:37:29A timeout at OKC.
00:37:33A timeout at OKC.
00:37:44A timeout at OKC.
00:38:07A timeout at OKC.
00:38:08The Bandrasemb種 is torn down for what?
00:38:12Apple drive hit theную.
00:38:13Turn down for what?
00:38:18Turn down for what?
00:38:23Turn down for what?
00:38:28Turn down for what?
00:38:43Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
00:39:02Fire up and loud,
00:39:04Another mother's eyes
00:39:06Turn it down for what?
00:39:11Turn it down for what?
00:39:21Attention to other fans with Shea Gilgis-Alexander's 20th point tonight.
00:39:28He has now scored 20 or more points in 127 consecutive games,
00:39:36passing Wilt Chamberlain for an NBA record that stood for over 63 years.
00:39:44Congratulations, Shea, on this historic achievement.
00:40:08A lot of love here in Oklahoma City for Shea Gilgis-Alexander, the reigning MVP.
00:40:18And now he stands alone.
00:40:23The consistency in which he has done his job, the excellence in which he has carried himself and represented this
00:40:31franchise.
00:40:39Out of the timeout, Dort with the board for OKC.
00:40:4571-69, the Thunder in front.
00:40:51Dort's got a mismatch with Keita.
00:40:55Gonzalez trying to jar it loose.
00:40:57Wiggins back in, Jalen Williams back in, drive and kick, shooting practice for Dort.
00:41:04Well, it's what they did in the first half, play their center on Dort.
00:41:08He's going to have a lot of looks.
00:41:10He's been struggling in three.
00:41:13Needs to get it going.
00:41:14Boston ties it up.
00:41:16Brown snaps in that jump shot.
00:41:17He's got 18 points.
00:41:23Mitchell, the pull-up.
00:41:24Man, he is rock solid.
00:41:26He really is.
00:41:27Does not play the least bit like a young player.
00:41:31Yeah, just to give a little context to the Will Chamberlain record, he did it in 126 consecutive games.
00:41:39In game number 127, he was ejected four minutes into the game.
00:41:44Nice-looking jump shot.
00:41:47Shireman drains it.
00:41:49And then he scored at least 20 points in the next 92 consecutive games.
00:41:55So he very well could have been over 200.
00:41:58Corner.
00:41:59And it's off the mark for Aaron Wiggins.
00:42:02But what's amazing about SGA's streak is 35 of those games, because they were up so much, he didn't even
00:42:11play in the fourth quarter.
00:42:13Jalen Brown with a triple.
00:42:16The Celtics lead 77-73.
00:42:19They've had answers all night.
00:42:21Nice look inside.
00:42:23Beautiful setup.
00:42:24It's Mitchell to Wiggins.
00:42:26And Wiggins does a great job on cuts.
00:42:29Really times his cuts, finds open areas.
00:42:33Brown, Takeda.
00:42:36He puts it down, and Jalen Brown is in takeover mode.
00:42:42This is what Jalen Brown has done all year for this team.
00:42:46His adjustment was more playing with Tatum again than it is playing without him.
00:42:52Gonzalez slaps it away, and the Celtics are running.
00:42:58Dorn gets in there, and Brown ends up in the front row.
00:43:05Everybody's okay.
00:43:07Popcorn's intact.
00:43:10Oh, that's a big one.
00:43:11I'd be very upset if I lost my popcorn.
00:43:13Yeah, the popcorn would offend you.
00:43:15No, you've got to hold on to the popcorn.
00:43:18Absolutely.
00:43:19At all costs.
00:43:21That's right out of the Orville Redenbacher handbook.
00:43:24You don't drop the popcorn.
00:43:26Not at all.
00:43:27They're going to challenge this, I believe.
00:43:29Yep.
00:43:30Oklahoma City's going to challenge this out-of-bounds call.
00:43:35So we'll step aside with 4.09 to play in the third.
00:43:37Celtics back in front in OKC.
00:43:47The ruling on the floor is being challenged.
00:44:15Let's get started.
00:44:45Here's the play that Mark Dignall
00:44:46challenged it was ruled last touch doors on that look it appeared to be a
00:44:53graze off ground his last to go off a brown full nine on the game clock 24 on
00:44:58the shot clock so they got that right OKC as we know there are mechanisms in
00:45:06place each team entrusts an assistant coach that is assigned to watch these
00:45:14plays closely go frame by frame if necessary on a device and let the head
00:45:20coach know that hey this is worth the challenge and the Boston bench
00:45:24particularly Sam Cassell was upset at the officials he felt they gave them too
00:45:29much time to look at it there behind the bench
00:45:35it's all the Thunder take over
00:45:39OKC is shooting it at 53 percent from the field Boston's at 48 percent Celtics have
00:45:47made more threes Mitchell trying to change that but misses on a deep one yeah
00:45:52Boston's already made 13 threes we said earlier they are 25-3 when they make 16 or
00:46:00more and that's one of the only weaknesses of Oklahoma City's defense they give up a
00:46:04lot of threes 27th in the league and threes allowed Jalen Brown stop and go ball got
00:46:11knocked away Walsh fighting for it no whistle and finally it's called and we get a tie-up
00:46:20so Wiggins hits the deck Walsh was there there's only a tenth of a second that was left on the
00:46:27shot clock when they blew the whistle
00:46:36they're gonna adjust the clock I believe
00:46:41Nathalie Sago heads over to the scores table currently 0.1
00:46:49they're gonna leave it at 0.1 which makes it awful tough on Boston
00:46:55Jalen Walsh tries to tip it into the basket OKC controls it possession continues with Joe and a
00:47:02foul stops play at the 319 mark of the third it was Parker on the outside upcoming national TV

00:48:40opposed to looking to the side OKC is now eight of thirty from three point territory that's 27 percent

00:50:32has all the tools defensively we saw that from day one his effort is a plus
00:50:38yeah no question he's got the motor as people will talk about players and it runs fast all the time
00:50:47just got himself up to 50% of the line with those two mates
00:50:51Gilgis Alexander hits the deck
00:50:52Kata jars it loose but then he tossed it right between his own legs out of bounds
00:50:59so the Thunder will retain with 10 to shoot
00:51:06Shireman will rotate back in

00:56:43let's go
00:56:44quarter here in Oklahoma City. The Celtics up by three. Time right now for our rewarding
00:56:49performance presented by Capital One. This was the record breaker for Shea Gilgis-Alexander.
00:56:56127 consecutive 20-point games. A new NBA mark. The fans participating in the moment.
00:57:08And SGA taking it all in stride as he normally does. Passing Wilt Chamberlain. More right now from
00:57:16Cassidy. Yeah and two years ago Shea Gilgis-Alexander delivered one of the most telling lines about
00:57:22himself when he said my whole life is consistent. And tonight he proved that again. Mark Dagnos said
00:57:27what separates Shea is the work you don't see. Calling him ruthlessly consistent in the invisible
00:57:33spaces and adding. It's no accident. He literally chiseled himself into this player. And teammate
00:57:38Lou Dord who's been with him for seven years told me I'm not even impressed with anything he does
00:57:43anymore. I feel like I've seen it all. And honestly that might be the highest compliment you can give
00:57:47a superstar. Greatness that has become routine guys. No doubt about it. Big old block from
00:57:55Kata. But Oklahoma City up to the task defensively against Jalen Brown. The acceleration and the bucket
00:58:02for SGA. Wow. Seven for eleven tonight from the floor and seven for eight from the free throw line. I
00:58:12mean his efficiency
00:58:14this year. Incredible. Got a one point game. A minute gone by here in the fourth. Pritchard off the rim.
00:58:26Well Boston now three for 13 from three here in the second half.
00:58:32After making ten in the first half. Gilchrist Alexander. Kick it out. Wallace drive that ball deflected and taken away
00:58:43by Pritchard. Oh and gulfed by Caruso. McCain. Boom.
00:58:50Well Caruso already in a minute and a half in this quarter. Has a block and a steal that turned
00:58:57into three points.
00:59:0085-83. Thunder.
00:59:06Brown one on one against an excellent defender Wallace and a foul.
00:59:11Jalen Brown will shoot two. Here's tonight's From the Wing presented by Wingstop.
00:59:15There's Shea Gilchrist Alexander using the rim to take Kata out of the play and then off of the steal
00:59:25by Caruso.
00:59:28Jared McCain knocks down a three. Great in-season pickup by Sam Preston.
00:59:35And it was a player that they always had some interest in. They did their due diligence in the draft
00:59:40process
00:59:41and then just kept tabs on where he was fitting in with Philadelphia.
00:59:45They saw an opening. They took it.
00:59:47Well we all remember a year ago before his injury
00:59:51he was the leading candidate for rookie of the year at the time he went down.
00:59:56And then just with Paul.
