00:01Well, the countdown is well and truly on for South Australians ahead of polls closing at 6pm tomorrow night.
00:09We already know more than 360,000 South Australians have chosen to vote early at centres like this right across
00:17the state.
00:18The key focuses for the major players this election has really been cost of living and housing.
00:24Of course, South Australians, like the rest of the country, really do feel those pressures.
00:28Some of the key policy promises coming out of Labor headquarters are free public school for both primary and high
00:36school students.
00:37That's something that Labor's Premier Peter Malinowskis has really been hammering home in recent days and weeks.
00:43On the Liberal side, Ashton Hearn and her team are offering 50 cent public transport fares for people,
00:50saying that is a way that people are really going to save money in this cost of living crisis.
00:54There's also, as I said, a focus on housing with trying to incentivise people to downsize with stamp duty concessions.
01:02The big difference between the two parties is Labor wants you to move into a new build.
01:06The Liberals are saying that you can have a bit more choice and move into an existing property.
01:11The question there is really about adding to supply.
01:15Look, it's been a quite typical day here on the election campaign with both leaders out in key seats that
01:22they're hoping to pick up.
01:24Ashton Hearn out at an early voting centre in Adelaide's western suburbs where she sent this final message to voters.
01:31We've been really clear about where our focus lies and it is on getting those bread and butter issues right
01:36for the people of South Australia.
01:38We've got $1.3 billion worth of cost of living measures for families and also for businesses.
01:47And we've also got some really practical plans in place to deliver a better health system as well.
01:51Peter Malinowskis at a major infrastructure project with this final message for South Australians.
01:58The whole nation looks at South Australia very differently today than what was the case four years ago.
02:04And that's not because of the events, it's because we are growing as an economy faster than the rest of
02:09the country.
02:09More jobs for more young people from more diverse backgrounds getting ahead.
02:15And we can keep that happening if we maintain the momentum.
02:18Of course one of the key stories really emerging in this campaign though is One Nation.
02:23They have had success in a series of polls not just here in South Australia but across the country.
02:29This is considered their first electoral test since that rise in popularity in the polls.
02:35So the question is will they be able to turn that polling success into seats?
02:40It remains to be seen but certainly within the One Nation camp they are feeling that sort of momentum.
02:46I'm not wanting to put a specific number on just how many seats they will win across both houses
02:51but at least eyeing off particularly some in regional South Australia.
02:55But not long, polls close tomorrow night at 6pm and we'll have all the live results here on the ABC.
