The countdown to South Australia’s election has officially begun, with the issuing of the writs at government house. Both the major parties spent day one of the campaign on the hustings. Labor focussed on housing, while the liberals made a promise on regional health.

01:32But it's still early days, and a lot could happen between now and the election.
