00:06and we wanted to put instruments in
00:07in a way that is light hearted and fun
00:10and fits the tone.
00:11We wanted instruments that were pirate themed.
00:13And we wanted a bunch of different types of instruments
00:15like percussion instruments and strings
00:17so that when you all play them together as a crew
00:19it felt like you were a band.
00:20One of the most memorable experiences for me
00:22was probably when we're all sailing into battle
00:24and we're all playing a ride of the barcaris
00:25while trying to catch up to another ship.
00:27That was pretty cool.
00:27And the closer you get to another ship
00:29you're just going to hear that music getting louder and louder.
00:32So it allows players to create their own soundtracks
00:34and influence the mood of the crew.
00:36For example, playing a really spooky song when night falls
00:38and you're entering like a misty area.
00:45So if someone's already playing a shanty with the hurdy-gurdy
00:47and I start playing my concertina
00:49I'll dynamically join in with what they're playing.
00:51Yeah, it's a really cool moment
00:52and that fun kind of really bonds the crew together.
