00:22What happens when one of America's most important military bases comes under sustained
00:28attack for weeks? New images from Manama are now revealing the answer, and the damage is hard to ignore.
00:37At the center of it all is Naval Support Activity Bahrain, the headquarters of the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet.
00:45This base plays a critical role in securing key waterways across the Persian Gulf,
00:51the Red Sea, and the Arabian Sea. But after weeks of missile and drone strikes,
00:56parts of it now appear heavily damaged. New satellite imagery, combined with ground-level photos
01:04circulating online, shows widespread destruction across the installation. Several buildings appear
01:10partially or completely destroyed, roofs have collapsed, concrete structures are shattered,
01:16and debris is scattered across large sections of the base. Warehouses, hangers, and support facilities
01:23show signs of fire damage, while burned-out vehicles and twisted metal suggest powerful impacts.
01:30Even more concerning, key infrastructure, like radar domes and satellite communication systems,
01:36appear to have been hit.
01:40The strikes are believed to be part of an ongoing campaign by Iran. Reports indicate a combination of
01:47ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones were used, including the Shahed-136. While many of these
01:54were intercepted by U.S. and Bahraini air defenses, the repeated waves of attacks allowed some to get
02:01through, causing visible and cumulative damage. The attacks began in late February, following a sharp
02:09escalation between Iran, Israel, and the United States. Since then, this base has remained a key target,
02:16highlighting its strategic importance and its exposure. U.S. officials say the base remains
02:23operational, though some facilities have been temporarily shut down or relocated. So far,
02:29no major U.S. casualties have been officially confirmed. However, the scale of the damage raises
02:36serious concerns about how resilient even major military hubs are under sustained high-volume attacks.
02:44Nearby civilian areas in Bahrain have also reported damage and injuries. What was once a secure and
02:51powerful naval hub is now visibly scarred. And as the conflict continues, Naval Support Activity Bahrain
02:59stands as a reminder of how quickly the balance can change.
