00:00This is the new Fang Cheng Bao.
00:02I'm not a fan of the name, but in international markets, I think they're going to call them
00:07Denzer, which is a good name.
00:10So the Fang Cheng Bao Ti-3 and the Ti-7, these vehicles are meant to be coming to international
00:15markets.
00:16So you probably want to know the details here.
00:19They get the new blade battery from BYD, the version 2, which is far superior to the existing
00:24blade battery.
00:25In fact, it is so much better.
00:27It's not one.
00:27They shouldn't have called it 2.0.
00:29They should have called it 22.0 because it's like so many improvements versus the existing
00:34generation blade battery, particularly charging speed.
00:38Hello, my friends.
00:39Welcome to the channel.
00:40I'm Sam Evans.
00:41Great to have you with us.
00:42Fang Cheng Bao Ti-3 or Denzer Ti-3 and the Denzer Ti-7 or the Fang Cheng Bao Ti
00:49-7, both of these
00:50vehicles now get megawatt flash charging.
00:52Megawatt is just a reference to 1,000 kilowatt charging.
00:55And that means they can charge the batteries.
00:58By the way, BYD have confirmed they are going to be sold globally as the BYD Ti-3, not the
01:04Denzer, the BYD Ti-3 and the BYD Ti-7.
01:07So yeah, I just checked that up.
01:10And it's not Denzer.
01:10It's BYD.
01:11The Ti-7 can, it has 755 kilometers, 755 CLTC though.
01:18So that's probably about 630 kilometers of WLTP range, which is very good.
01:24And it can charge from 10 to 97% in nine minutes.
01:29Now, of course, not on any charges near you, but if you can find a charger that charges at
01:34400 kilowatt, it'll use that charger.
01:36There's quite a few of those now in Europe, in Australia, in the States, in various countries
01:41around the world.
01:42There's even, you know, even Tesla's new chargers can charge it up to 450 kilowatt.
01:46I'm not sure if it'll work with this.
01:48It will charge with this.
01:49I'm not sure how fast though.
01:50But the point is, you're basically getting a future-proof car in terms of the charging
01:54speed.
01:56And Budi have said that they're going to build these chargers out in numerous countries,
02:01including Australia and Europe, beginning, I believe, the fourth quarter of this year.
02:07So Budi launched the Blade battery recently.
02:09It's got more energy density, can charge more than double the speed of the previous generation.
02:15And its capabilities in cold weather are remarkable, just insane.
02:20I've got a video all about those details.
02:22I'll put a link in the description.
02:23You can check that out if you want to.
02:25There's also a new LiDAR sensor from BWD's backed RoboSense, and that works in conjunction
02:32with the ADAS system, which is called God's Eye.
02:36I'm not really a fan of the term God's Eye.
02:38In fact, they probably shouldn't have called it that.
02:40If you think about it, it'd probably offend a lot of people.
02:42But anyway, it's pretty good that they got an external company to create their ADAS for
02:49them.
02:50That was a good move, in my opinion.
02:52Science.
02:52It's quite a boxy car.
02:54But it's only 4.6 meters long, the Ti3.
02:57So it's not a big SUV.
02:59You'd probably call it a medium-sized SUV.
03:02It's 1,900 millimeters wide.
03:04It's not particularly wide, sort of the width of a Model Y.
03:07And it is 1,720 millimeters tall.
03:10Wheelbase, 2.75 meters.
03:13It's, I think, a pretty cool-looking kind of off-roady type car.
03:18Would I buy one personally?
03:19It's not really my thing.
03:22But I can see why people would want one of these.
03:24And it's not a hybrid.
03:25This is an EV.
03:27Thus, I think it's pretty much worth considering, considering the new Blade battery.
03:33And that Blade battery, by the way, it's only 75.6 kilowatt hour battery.
03:38And that's pretty small for a car this size, which looks like a brick.
03:42So the range is quite good, right?
03:46If you get the rear-wheel drive version, it has 620 kilometers of cell TC range.
03:51So probably about 510 kilometers of range.
03:54And it has 200 kilowatt, or 268 horsepower.
03:58And it can also charge very quickly.
04:02400 kilometers of range you can add in five minutes if you can find a BOD flash charger,
04:07which don't exist yet in the West, but they will soon.
04:1010% to 97% is 8 minutes and 45 seconds.
04:14Now, there will be a dual-motor version as well, and a bigger battery for that dual-motor
04:18version.
04:19Plus, there will be the option of getting the Dysus C chassis, which is their continuous
04:24damping suspension, which is actually very impressive.
04:27Also, the Dye Pilot 300 Godzai B is what apparently comes with this vehicle.
04:32So it's better than the Godzai C, which is on some other BOD cars.
04:36All right, let's look at the Fang Cheng Bao or the BOD TIE 7.
04:40This is bigger, quite a bit bigger.
04:42It's five meters long.
04:444,999 millimeters, so five meters.
04:48It's also wider.
04:49It's two meters wide.
04:51And it's higher.
04:52It's 1,865 millimeters high.
04:55Five seats, though.
04:56This could definitely be a seven-seater if BOD wanted to make it so, but it's not.
05:00It's a five-seater.
05:01Re-wheel drive version has a 300-kilowatt motor, which is 402 horsepower, and we don't
05:08yet know the battery size, but we know that it has 755 kilometers of range.
05:13I'm going to guess the battery is probably a 90, actually probably about a 95-kilowatt-hour
05:18battery.
05:19So it'll be about 630 kilometers WLTP.
05:23Same charging speed, 1,000-kilowatt flash charging.
05:2610% to 97% takes nine minutes and five seconds, say BOD.
05:31So that's ridiculously fast.
05:34But if you can find a 350-kilowatt charger, you're going to get 350 or 400.
05:38So that's still worth thinking about in terms of being up the charge at those speeds.
05:44The four-wheel drive version has 515 kilowatt, which is 691 horsepower.
05:50It can do 240 kilometers an hour.
05:53I don't recommend doing that, though, in a car of this size and weight.
05:56It's probably not a good idea.
05:58Trunk volume is massive, 970 liters.
06:02That's the biggest trunk on a car that I've seen for a long time.
06:06Massive, absolutely enormous.
06:07So you can see you can easily fit another row of seats in this car.
06:11I'm going to guess they'll probably offer this as a seven-seat version as well.
06:14There is 20 speakers and DyePilot 300.
06:19They didn't say whether it's A, B, or C.
06:22Not sure.
06:23Other specs we don't know yet.
06:25But those are the core specs, right?
06:28To get that kind of range from a car this size, that's pretty impressive.
06:33So B1E haven't just upgraded the batteries.
06:35I think they've actually done some other changes with efficiency with motors.
06:39Because otherwise, all those specs don't make sense.
06:41All their new cars have been announced within the last seven days.
06:44They shouldn't have as much range as they do.
06:45They've now got some of the longest range EVs in the world.
06:50Not by March.
06:51Pretty close.
06:52If you look at WLTPs, they're pretty close to, say, BMW iX3.
06:57But they're using lithium-ion phosphate, which it shouldn't be possible to do that, to get
07:02more range or the same range as a smaller BMW iX3, which is using very large 48, basically,
07:09what are they, 4920s or something like that, cylindrical battery cells, which are huge,
07:13NMC batteries.
07:14You shouldn't be able to get this kind of range.
07:15So they've done some magical stuff with their platform, tweaking things.
07:21Got to give them hats off to them.
07:22I previously wouldn't have considered one of these models from BYD.
07:25But now, I think if you're wanting a vehicle that's more of an off-roady type vehicle, more
07:30this kind of square odd off shape, then I actually think these are, well, brand new and worth
07:38buying.
07:38I mean, honestly, at this point in time, all the BYD's current models, I wouldn't buy
07:42any of them.
07:43The ones on the shelf right now.
07:45All the new ones they've announced in the last week, all of them would be on my list
07:49of going, hang on a minute, I want to check that out.
07:51I want to test drive that.
07:52And kudos to BYD.
07:54They've done a great job with upgrading their vehicles.
07:57Let me know what your thoughts are.
07:58Do you agree?
