00:00We want to put pressure on the government. Obviously we already voted against the budget last year,
00:03but with all of the issues we're now seeing with oil prices spiking, we thought this is a really
00:08opportune moment to again ask the government to think again about raising taxes on families.
00:14And this is 5p a litre fuel duty increase, going to be phased in, one penny in September,
00:202p in December, 2p in March. This is almost a hidden way of trying to raise extra taxes,
00:26and the only reason the government's doing this is to raise money for welfare. And we think that's
00:31the wrong way thing to do. It should instead be tackling the surge in welfare rather than putting
00:36taxes on ordinary families and businesses.
