00:00It took a hit to its tournament goals as their second leading scorer, a kid named Aiden Holloway,
00:07who's averaging, I think, 17 points a game.
00:10And he's their point guard.
00:10For the Crimson Tide, is now out for the tournament and in a lot of trouble with the lawman.
00:17So apparently Aiden Holloway, police busted into his apartment a couple days ago,
00:25and they found what they're now saying in the update this morning is two pounds of marijuana.
00:32Two pounds of marijuana.
00:35So the only comment I saw attributed to Aiden Holloway was the fact that all I do is smoke it.
00:42Because obviously he's being accused of trafficking it, like possession with the intent to sell.
00:48And once you get over a certain amount of weed, it's hard to tell a judge or the po-po,
00:53no, man, that's all mine.
00:55That's just what I use.
00:57It's two pounds of weed.
00:59Like, that's a lot of weed.
01:00I'm not sure if I've ever even seen two pounds of weed on one table before.
01:05In the past, not current.
01:07Yeah.
01:08I knew some guys that sold.
01:10In the past.
01:10Yeah, in the past that sold.
01:12In fact, some of them I know, Craig, you knew at one point as well.
01:15In the past.
01:16In the past.
01:17In the past.
01:18Yeah, not now.
01:19I never saw that quantity in one sitting.
01:22I know guys that are big stoners that are smoking J-bones or blunts or bongs all day, every day.
01:30All day, yeah, yeah.
01:31So I've seen people that do live the lifestyle.
01:34Mm-hmm.
01:35But two pounds of weed in a college kid's campus dorm or off-campus apartment, wherever it might be.
01:43And the other problem with that is, and I think this even bothers me more.
01:47Because Aiden Holloway's not playing.
01:48Like, that's just, in fact, he's now got to go through the criminal system and try to get a plea
01:53deal that were, you know, no jail time, hopefully for him.
02:11Mm-hmm.
02:11And pills and all the other stuff.
02:13Mm-hmm.
02:13And that's just my own personal take.
02:15And I respect the fact that if you want to throw the book at him, you're entitled to feel that
02:19way.
02:20Mm-hmm.
02:20Two pounds is a lot of weed.
02:21It is.
02:22But I have a bigger problem with the story, Tyrone.
02:24What's the big problem?
02:25And it's a problem since I was a five-year-old, to be honest.
02:30Okay.
02:31Somebody ratted him out.
02:32Oh, yeah.
02:33Now, you can vacuum seal bags of weed so that they don't smell.
02:38Yes.
02:39I'm going to assume he didn't do that.
02:42Meaning somebody either saw the weed or, more likely, somebody smelt the weed.
02:49Yeah.
02:50And called the RA, you know, the resident advisor in the building, or whoever the landlord is,
02:55because I'm not sure if he lives, you know.
02:57Hell, it's off campus.
02:58So, yeah.
02:59The athletes probably have special housing.
03:01Yeah.
03:01Which most schools do provide.
03:03So, all good there.
03:04Someone must have smelt it.
03:06Yeah.
03:07And called the po-po in.
03:08I got a bigger problem with the rat than I do with this knucklehead.
03:13You know, maybe allegedly, because he says it was all for him to smoke.
03:17That's a lot of weed to smoke, obviously.
03:19Right.
03:19But who ratted the kid out?
03:22Now, here's the weird part.
03:23You think the backup point guard?
03:25I also want to give him some playing time in a tournament.
03:28Right?
03:28I would love that.
03:29Yeah.
03:30I would love that.
03:31He plays 40 minutes a game.
03:32I can't get in.
03:33Yeah.
03:34Right.
03:34He's the whole place.
03:35He's got the ball in his hands all the time.
03:36He never passes.
03:37And when I get in, he never passes.
03:39Right.
03:39I'm just saying.
03:40There's one.
03:41That was the first guy I'd look to.
03:42Yeah, that is.
03:43Who's his backup?
03:44Now, here's the weird part.
03:45One of the charges talk about him, a failure to affix a tax stamp.
03:51Okay.
03:51So, it's apparently, even though it's on the weed.
03:55On the weed.
03:56So, it's not.
03:57One, it's the possession because of the amount.
03:59Intent to sell, right.
04:00And all that.
04:00But also, he's failure to affix a tax stamp.
04:04Is there perhaps a campus weed dealer that snitched out of jealousy?
04:10Yeah, I don't get the tax stamp at all.
04:12That's literally the charge.
04:13No, I hear you.
04:14I just don't get that.
04:15I don't get that.
04:16Like, you're not.
04:17If you're selling the weed, you're not reporting it.
04:20So, they want you to have a tax stamp?
04:22And it's like you bought it from the state.
04:23Right.
04:24Like, you're a licensed weed distributor.
04:26I'd like that.
04:27And you just didn't pay your taxes on whatever you sold.
04:29Right.
04:30So, I don't quite get that one.
04:31That's one of the charges.
04:32Somebody ratted this kid out.
04:33Somebody ratted him out.
04:34It's basically two felonies.
04:36One for the amount because.
04:37So, it's either a teammate.
04:40A teammate.
04:41It's someone who wants to make the team that got cut.
04:45Yep.
04:46Okay.
04:46Or, it's like one of those dorky tutors that, you know, is provided to the
04:52athletes from that collective part.
04:54It's like, listen, man.
04:55Excuse me.
04:56Listen, man.
04:57You know, you keep asking for help with trigonometry.
05:01And I keep showing up at your door, knocking on the door.
05:04And it smells like you're having a party in there, Bob.
05:07And I just, I'm not going to stand for it.
05:09I take tutoring very seriously.
05:11That kind of guy.
05:12I'm not going to stand for it.
05:12I'm not going to stand for it.
