00:01The Court of Appeal has fixed July 1st to hear Datin Seri Rosma Mansour's appeal to overturn her conviction and
00:10sentence in the 1.25 billion ringgit Sarawak solar hybrid project corruption case.
00:17The hearing dates were fixed by Judge Datuk Nazarin Wak Nordin during case management on Monday.
00:23Rosma has also filed an application to review the federal court's March 3 dismissal of her attempt to recuse High
00:31Court Judge Datuk Mohamed Zaini Mazlan, who convicted her.
00:35On September 1st, 2022, Rosma was sentenced to 10 years jail and fined 970 million ringgit for corruption in the
00:45solar hybrid project case, with an additional 10 years if the fine was unpaid.
00:50However, the sentence was suspended pending appeal.
00:54She was also convicted of soliciting 187.5 million ringgit from former JEPAC Holdings Sandirian Berhad, Managing Director Saidi Abang
01:04Samsuddin, via her aide, Rizal Mansour, and receiving bribes of 6.5 million ringgit on separate occasions.
