00:00You know, season two was probably the most confusing for me
00:03In terms of timelines and keeping everything in
00:06Reminding yourself who is, who, what, how far ahead and how far behind
00:17The mirror is your battle, girl
00:19That's my job to ensure your protection
00:22Federico Mascotto from Italy for Movie Player, very nice to meet you
00:25You too
00:26Gal is becoming more and more the heir of Harry Seldon
00:31Did you felt the weight and the responsibility of that in this season in particular?
00:36Yes, 100%
00:37I think also just like we had a lot of new actors that I got to work with
00:41And it was really great
00:42And a lot of them haven't done sci-fi before
00:45And it's not, it was just interesting that they saw me like
00:49Oh, you've done this for so long
00:51Like, you know, kind of having that responsibility even off camera
00:55Was interesting
00:56But yes, it was a massive responsibility
00:59And I'm, and I took it in my stride, I think
01:02And it was so much fun
01:04It was fun
01:08Jared Harris gives you advice like Harry does with Gal after three seasons
01:16Yeah, he does always
01:19He's a great friend of mine
01:20And now I think I've really gained a really great friend in him
01:26But he also levels with me and sees me as equal to him
01:30Which is a really wonderful thing
01:31And it's a nice feeling
01:32Which I think Gale and Harry have that in season three
01:36More so than they ever have
01:38And it's a nice parallel
01:40From a mentor he becomes more unequal to Gal
01:44And it's so satisfying to see that relationship evolve in that way
01:50Do you agree that this season more than the previous ones
01:54Is the season of change for all the characters
01:57Because there's the arrival of the mule brings chaos
02:02Because yes, and the natural order of foundation is going
02:07Yes, it's a mess
02:10It's madness
02:11Everything that you expect to happen is not
02:14You know, what we've always done every season
02:17You know, even with the Cleons as a very simple example
02:20What you expect to see is not at all what happens with any of them
02:25Like all three of them have these outrageous stories
02:28And it's for the first time that you actually see them as individual characters
02:32And not as a trio
02:33And that is not something that you expect
02:36Watching the show and having seen the last two seasons
02:38So yeah, I think we're just readjusting the equation of what foundation is
02:46And it's really cool to have that change
02:49And I can imagine during shooting
02:52Because it's not chronological
02:54It was difficult to understand
02:57As an audience, it's difficult to put the pieces together
03:01So I can imagine for you too
03:03Yes, it is
03:05I think this season was a little easier
03:07Because everyone's on the same timeline
03:08You know, season two was probably the most confusing for me
03:12In terms of timelines and keeping everything
03:15And reminding yourself who's who
03:18How far ahead and how far behind
03:22But I do think that it kind of all gels really well this season
03:25Although everyone's got their own thing going on
03:28For the most part
03:30A lot of paths do cross this season
03:33And it's really great and satisfying to see
03:37Yeah, it's the first time that there are a lot of parallel stories
03:40That mix
03:41And it's just so satisfying
03:44Because you
03:45Yeah, I think
03:46Anyway, me as watching it
03:47As someone
03:48As a fan as well
03:49Is like
03:51I'm dying to see a lot of these characters meet
03:53And we get to
03:57Yeah
03:58What do you think in this show
04:01And your characters
04:02Tell us about politics today?
04:05I mean, I think it's a reflection
04:08Of what's happening today
04:11It's difficult to accept a lot of the things that are happening
04:16And to feel a little bit helpless
04:20Is very apparent
04:22And I think the show reflects that
04:24This idea of hope
04:26And what we want
04:27And trying to save humanity
04:29And do better
04:29But it also can sometimes feel a little helpless
04:33When they're tyrants like the mule
04:36That exist
04:38That don't often make decisions that make sense
04:42And the show also shows a cyclical story with the crisis
04:49And it's like our history
04:51And we seem not to really learn from the cyclicals
04:57And I think that's one of the bases of what Asimov was trying to say
05:01You know
05:01That you can kind of predict what people are going to do
05:05Because human nature does not
05:08Allows for there to be cycles
05:10That we can't seem to unlearn
05:12Which is sad
05:13Because you and I as individuals
05:16Can probably see a solution
05:18Or see a different outcome
05:19But as a mass, you know, population
05:22It doesn't seem that we can
05:24We can break those cycles, unfortunately
05:27The mass is always the danger
05:29In a way
05:30Exactly
05:31And yeah, for sure
05:33Thank you so much
05:34We have to run
05:35Thank you
05:36This is where everything is headed
05:39We have to run
05:41We have to run
05:58We have to run
06:00We have to run
06:00We have to run
06:00We have to run
06:00We have to run
06:08Grazie a tutti
