00:27The FBI is here working with our
00:29state, local, and federal partners to investigate this incident, and I can confirm that we
00:34are leading the investigation right now as a targeted act of violence against the Jewish
00:39community. As my partners have said, this is an active and ongoing investigation with an active
00:46crime scene, and I ask for your patience as we process this evidence and pursue every lead that
00:51has come to us and that we have developed thus far. What I can share is this. There was one
00:56subject
00:56involved in this incident who is now deceased, and as my partners have said, we've had no victim
01:01fatalities. The security staff did an amazing job, an amazing job, and you'll get some of the details
01:09on that, but they stopped the threat. No kids, no staff were hurt. Now, there were some injuries and
01:15things that had to be taken care of. One of the head of security was taken to the hospital. He
01:19got
01:20knocked down by the car when it breached the building, and we've had 30 law enforcement
01:24officers taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. All of us will work seamlessly together to get
01:29the answers, and then it will be called what it is. Obviously, it's a hateful, terror, terror,
01:35terrible thing, right? But what drove this person into action, that has to be determined by the
01:41investigation.
01:44I want to send our love to the Michigan Jewish community and all of the people in Detroit,
01:52Detroit area, following the attack on the Jewish synagogue early today, and I've been
01:57briefed, fully briefed, and it's a terrible thing, but it goes on. We're going to be right down to the
02:06bottom of it. It's absolutely incredible that things like this happen.
