Organisers launched the KL Festival 2026 on March 13, in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026 and Kuala Lumpur’s designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Design last year.

The event will be held from May 6-31 across 25 venues, public spaces and streets in the city.

00:02Organizers launched the KL Festival 2026 on Friday in conjunction with Visit Malaysia
00:082026 and Kuala Lumpur's designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Design last year.
00:16The event will be held from May 6th to 31st across 25 venues, public spaces and streets
00:23in the city, featuring more than 80 events and 700 hours of programming.
00:28These programs will transform Kuala Lumpur's heritage buildings and spaces into a lively melting pot for visitors and tourists alike.
00:58So, we have joget on, everyone will come to the land of Merdeka to be joget ramai-ramai.

01:33This year's event is themed Memory and Tomorrow and is aimed at bridging generations through programs
01:40including wayang kulit, contemporary dance, installations, theatre and outdoor film screenings.
01:47The KL Festival is organised by Think City and Kuala Lumpur City Hall
01:52and supported by the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Territories Department.
