01:50and if they take something from it, great
01:51but if not, that's okay too
01:54and the other thing is we're sort of saying
01:56we don't have all the answers
01:58we set out to make a movie about the dangers of technology
02:02but what we didn't expect is that we would actually side with Megan
02:06a lot of the times
02:07and we would see things from her point of view
02:09Speaking about technology
02:11do you believe that one of the main themes of the movie
02:14is that we maybe relay too much on it, on technology
02:19even our feelings, our emotions?
02:21Definitely
02:23It is one of the things about living in this time
02:27that bothers me the most
02:29it's just our reliance on technology and devices
02:32and how we just, we can't get away from them
02:35so it was very gratifying for me
02:37to be able to tell a story like this
02:40that put all of those anxieties on screen
02:42And do you believe that the true villain of the movie
02:45is maybe Gemma
02:46because she doesn't give enough attention to Katie?
02:52Yeah, it is interesting
02:53she is a very, she's a very flawed heroine
02:56and it takes a very long time for her to redeem herself

03:01I've had conversations with people
03:03who felt like they were more on Megan's side
03:07for most of the movie, you know
03:09so it is interesting
03:10and we even felt that ourselves
03:11when we were writing the story
03:13we were like, we weren't quite sure who was
03:15you know, who was in the right here
03:17but yeah
03:18Megan, it's definitely an amazing bodyguard
03:22and I was shooting all those scenes
03:26because it's almost like in movies like
03:29in monster movies like Joes
03:32or when we don't really see the blood and the gore
03:37so I was shooting those scenes
03:39it was a specific idea
03:41Yeah, we, there was
03:45there actually was
03:47we shot more blood and gore
03:49but we decided it felt too much
03:52and obviously we ended up making a PG-13 movie
03:57and it worked
03:59it just, it felt like
04:00you actually didn't need to see all of that
04:02and Universal, the studio
04:05to the credit
04:06when we decided to make it PG-13
04:08they let us reshoot some of those scenes
04:11and the way we did them
04:13without all the blood and gore
04:15was actually much more violent
04:17and much more effective
04:19you know, so it just
