00:13Ich bin Carsten vom Automagazin TuningBlog

02:38Today, we are announcing a collaboration between Wave, Nissan, and Uber
02:42to prepare for a pilot deployment of Robotaxi services
02:46powered by Nissan Leaf and the Wave AI Driver.
02:50Wave brings world-class AI technology,
02:53a global foundation model that learns from large-scale driving experience
02:57and adapts across cities without relying on high-definition maps.
03:02Secondly, Nissan brings decades of automotive engineering excellence
03:07and a production vehicle platform ready for integration at scale.
03:12And this is important because autonomous technology
03:16must be embedded into vehicles that meet the highest standards
03:19of safety, quality and reliability.
03:23And third, Uber brings a global mobility network
03:27that connects technology to riders at scale
03:29with deep operational expertise and real-world deployment capability.
03:36Together, the three of us combine intelligence, engineering and distribution.
03:42Japan's complex urban and rural environments
03:45have strengthened and refined our AI driver
03:48in ways that benefit the global rollout of our technology.
03:52For people in Japan, this is about expanding access to safe,
03:57reliable and intelligent mobility that fits naturally into everyday life
04:01and meets the mobility needs of an aging society.
04:06This collaboration, as Alex was just telling you,
04:09brings together world-class AI, automotive excellence,
04:13and Uber's global platform.
04:15We are honored to build this future together in Japan.
04:20Our goal is simple.
04:21We want to be the world's best platform for autonomous vehicles
04:25and for automotive leaders to scale and commercialize their incredible technology
04:30in ways that work for riders, drivers, and the cities in which we operate.
04:36Together with Wave and Nissan, we are committed to meeting Japan's safety standards
04:40and working closely with regulators as we introduce this technology responsibly and step-by-step.
04:47Within Uber, we have a term, star markets.
04:50These are the most important markets that we're investing in for the future,
04:53and Japan is certainly amongst that important group of countries for us.
04:57It's one of our most important markets globally,
05:00not only because of its scale,
05:02but because of its leadership in automation, innovation, and safety.
05:08We're deeply committed to investing in Japan for the long term
05:11through partnership with taxi operators, technology companies,
05:15and deep collaboration with national and local authorities.
05:19And we know that Japan is also facing demographic change and labor shortages.
05:24We believe autonomous technology integrated into a strong ride-hailing ecosystem
05:30can help address long-term mobility challenges.
05:34We are making a long-term commitment to Japan
05:36to invest, to collaborate, and to build a future of mobility together.
05:43Today, we are genuinely excited about the new value
05:47that this three-way collaboration between Nissan Wave and Uber can create.
05:52By bringing together our respective strengths,
05:55we believe we can unlock opportunities that none of us could achieve on our own.
06:01For this project, we're using the new Nissan Leaf as the base vehicle.
06:06Its three key strengths, interior comfort, smooth and stable driving,
06:10and advanced safety technologies,
06:11make the mobility experience for customers using this service
06:14more comfortable and satisfying.
06:17Nissan continues to strive to create innovations
06:20that truly benefit customers and society.
06:24The collaboration between Nissan and Wave is part of this effort,
06:28and I'm very excited to take this partnership forward
06:30by integrating Wave's end-to-end AI autonomous driving system
06:34into the Nissan's base vehicle
06:36and connecting it to Uber's ride-hailing platform
06:40to match robotaxis with people seeking transportation.
06:44I'm confident that by bringing these three companies together,
06:48we can deliver the value created by this autonomous driving technology
06:52to a much broader range of customers,
06:55from those who drive their own personal vehicles
06:57to those who travel by taxi.
06:59Together with Wave and Uber,
07:01we look forward to shaping the future of mobility
07:04and delivering new value to our customers.
07:07That's the table and finish the signing.
07:24Congratulations to all three companies.
07:46Thank you, Owen.
07:49Give us a minute to remove the table so you can...
07:53Thank you.
07:54All right.
07:55Anybody just do that?
08:06Do you want to?
