00:26So, in your opinion, what makes a villain?
00:30What makes a villain?
00:32I mean, that's impossible to answer with just one thing
00:36because there's many things, I think.
00:38But what I would like to offer up is
00:41everyone is deserving of love in some sense.
00:45So even if someone decides to do not positive things for themselves
00:50or to society, no one should be thrown away.
00:53I believe in forgiveness, I believe in hope for humanity
00:56and so I think even if someone were quote unquote a villain of a story,
01:01that doesn't mean they're not redeemable.
01:04In this movie you show up your amazing voice.
01:09How would you finally sing?
01:11And will you do a musical?
01:14I'm actually training right now in music.
01:17I'm doing the George Jones and Tammy Wynette project
01:21with Michael Shan and John Hillcoat directing.
01:23And we're doing music training for it right now.
01:26Not because it's something I'm very comfortable doing,
01:29it makes me very uncomfortable.
01:30and I think it's really important to stay in a state of not being too secure.
01:38You have to keep growing and learning and challenging yourself,
01:41so I'm about to go do that.
01:43I think women are so fascinating and we have so many facets to us
01:48and I think for some reason the media hasn't recognized all of that.
01:52In the past I felt like the media has regulated women to like motherhood or like temptation.
01:59And it's really exciting for me to celebrate women in all of our fabulous complexities
02:06and that includes, you know, love and motherhood and generosity
02:10and that also includes sexual desire and intelligence and ambition and selfishness.
02:17And I'm excited to show women as human beings because I think it's about time we are shown that way.
