00:23I, as a moviegoer, love romantic comedies. Those are some of my favorite movies of all time, whether it's, you
00:30know, When Harry Met Sally, or Prelude to a Kiss, or any of these type of movies, the Meg Ryan
00:35era, and the Julia Roberts era, all of those, you know, movies is what I grew up on in a
00:43way, and I love them so much.
00:45And so, it is kind of a homecoming for me, because I haven't done one in a few years. And
00:50then this year, I did two, and I think I'll have two coming out. I have, you know, this one,
00:54marry me, and then Shotgun Wedding will be out at some point, which I did with Josh Duhamel.
01:00So, I mean, I'm excited to be able to do a couple. Yeah, for sure. I love it.
01:05I think there's a lot of us in each other. There is. I mean, I under, you know, there wasn't,
01:12this wasn't a role where I had to research what it was like to be a famous recording artist who
01:19does branding and who has all of that. I understand what all of that is already.
01:24I think the difficult part was kind of the meta part, which was, you know, the idea of showing what
01:32it's really like inside my bedroom when something goes wrong and you suffer a heartbreak like this in front of
01:40the whole world and the media kind of goes to town on you, you know, to kind of unearth the
01:46story and understand it and kind of poke fun at it and, you know, in that way and what that
01:51really feels like.
01:52And in some of those moments, you know, even with scenes with me and Owen where he's asking, like, don't
01:59you want to just give up on the whole love thing, you know?
02:04You know, it was just that philosophy that she has. Like, I understand. It's like, no, if there's a one
02:09in a billion chance, no matter what the numbers are, you're a math teacher, you know, that's worth it.
02:15That's worth it because I think what she is craving is that love and that home.
02:22And so there was a lot of moments there where I was able to bring a truth to the character
02:27in the emotional life that was really authentic and real.
02:32I do feel very lucky to be able to do all the things that I do.
02:38I feel like I'm at a point in my career where I'm kind of hitting my stride with what I
02:45know my abilities to be and being confident in that.
02:49Whereas when I was younger, I was a little bit more, you know, insecure and kind of finding my way.
02:55It's great to be at a point in my life where I feel that really I know myself.
03:01I know myself and I trust myself.
03:04But there's definitely a lot of things I cannot do.
03:07I really suck.
03:08I always say this at basketball, of all things.
03:12It used to be just the tabloids or the press, and now it's social media as well,
03:17which can be, you know, even just as if not even more anxiety provoking for people in the public eye.
03:27But I think that's what also makes this one a little bit more modern is that you have that element
03:33in it of what that's like to have, you know,
03:36a heartbreak and a huge embarrassment in front of the world and how it travels so quickly.
03:45Like before, it was like, oh, it's going to come out.
03:47The story's going to come out.
03:49This is what's going to happen.
03:50Well, we'll see if it gets picked up.
03:52It's like there's no doubt.
03:53If something happens, somebody's going to see it.
03:56They're going to get it on camera.
03:57They're going to talk about it.
03:58They're going to share it.
03:59It's just like, you know, and navigating that as a person in the public eye can be tricky,
04:06especially when, you know, difficult things happen in your life,
04:09like Kat suffers in the beginning of this movie, which I don't wish on anybody.
