00:00Category is, bring back my pearls.
00:03Welcome to Ms. Mojo.
00:05And today, we're counting down our picks for the most jaw-dropping, creative, and memorable runway categories from RuPaul's Drag
00:12Race and its All-Stars variation.
00:14Great night for our All-Stars.
00:17Each of these girls has their own brand, and they've taken that brand to the top.
00:23Number 30. Puff-a-Please.
00:25This episode challenged the queens to get crafty with puffer material, resulting in some seriously inflated looks on the runway.
00:32I am a housewife out in the cold, baby, serving frozen lemonade.
00:36For this category, the queens had to think outside the box, as they presented outfits that elevated outerwear to glamorous
00:43heights.
00:44Sasha Colby put an elegant urban spin on the theme, delivering a black and yellow look that looked sleek, but
00:50still maintained the material's signature bounce.
00:52I'm giving you a puffer jacket, then I'm giving you a puffer vest, then I'm giving you a puffer suspenders
00:58parachute moment.
00:59This is everything.
01:01Laurel Mayari took a more traditional approach with a kimono-like jacket that had flowing sleeves trailing her figure down
01:07the runway.
01:08Other queens, like Luxe Noir London and Mistress Isabel Brooks, also brought their unique perspectives to the category.
01:13Puffer material doesn't exactly scream couture, yet somehow, the queens made it fashion week ready.
01:19A puffer coat on a big girl would be an absolute disaster.
01:23You want to make sure that you're doing a silhouette that's going to make the right things stand out.
01:27I feel so glamorous.
01:29This is like one of my most fashionable moments.
01:31Number 29, Miss Fill-In-The-Blank.
01:34All Stars 8 got meta with this beauty queen pageant runway.
01:37The queens had to invent their own pageant titles and curated looks to match.
01:40I am Miss Bootlegger. I am decked out in nothing but gold. It's all fake.
01:45Miss Bootlegger is serving us for fashion and fake jewelry and fake hair and fake everything.
01:51This prompt was humorous and deeply creative, as it allowed each queen to define her own identity.
01:56While Jessica Wilde went for an intentionally campy Miss Sausage Party look, with several sausages incorporated in her outfit,
02:03Kahana Montrese leaned into her showgirl persona with exaggerated elegance.
02:07It's giving very green and gold goddess, and it is over-the-top pageantry glam.
02:14And I'm feeling super regal. This look deserves a crown.
02:18Then we had Candy Muse, who capitalized on her iconic fight with Tamisha Iman to deliver a Miss Arrogant look.
02:24But perhaps the standout was Alexis Michelle, whose Miss Manpig ensemble was a true showcase of beauty.
02:31I'm repping my hanky code with this train.
02:33She's trouble with a capital T that rhymes with P.
02:37And, of course, that's what she's into.
02:40It might sound simple on paper, but the queen's personalities made these pageant personas runway-worthy.
02:46Number 28. Parasols. Shady Ladies.
02:49I am a rich Parisian wearing a Dior-inspired dress.
02:54And, of course, it's sunny, so I have to have all my parasols.
02:57This episode brought viewers under its umbrella, Ella, Ella, with the parasols runway that had queens incorporating the delicate accessories
03:05into their looks.
03:06Lexi Love twirled down the runway with a Japanese-inspired ensemble, using her hat to give the illusion of a
03:11parasol.
03:12I have put a parasol on my head as if it was, like, a hat.
03:16It's just drama. It's everything.
03:18And it is kind of an ode to Schiaparelli.
03:21Arrietty took a slightly darker approach with a gorgeous red and black look,
03:25and a parasol that acted as both accessory and functional shade.
03:29Queens like Sam Star and Acacia Forgot also delivered exciting looks that served as extensions of their drag characters,
03:35and added movement and dimension to the runway.
03:38Oh, the shade. The shade of it all.
03:40So I had this beautiful chiffon outfit, and this beautiful yellow parasol to do nothing but block the sun and
03:47all the haters.
03:48Number 27. Foiled Again
03:50Even as controversial as it turned out to be in the end, All Stars 10 still gave us some interesting
03:56runway categories.
03:57This star gown is made out of little tiny mirrors.
04:00Girl, any little move that I make, I could possibly cut myself.
04:04In the penultimate episode, the queens delivered a metallic bang in the Foiled Again runway,
04:08as they were tasked with presenting looks inspired by everyone's favorite kitchen staple.
04:13Irene the Alien took the theme literally, with a space-age silver ensemble that looked like she'd been beamed down
04:19from planet fashion,
04:20complete with angel wings and slightly questionable stationary arms.
04:24These wings are not my real arms inside a set of fake wings.
04:29My real arms are in front of me, can't you tell?
04:31Bosco, on the other hand, delivered an exquisite metallic gown that looked like liquid mercury in the form of a
04:37dress.
04:37There wasn't a single bad look on the runway that week, and that's what we expect from All Stars Queens.
04:43Am I sweaty underneath? Absolutely.
04:45But it's okay because I look too fabulous to care.
04:49Number 26. What Lies Beneath
04:56Layered looks with reveals turned this runway into a storytelling challenge, not just a fashion one.
05:02In this episode, the all-winners cast had to deliver looks with multiple reveals, and they came prepared.
05:08Jinx Monsoon transformed her presentation into living art, literally, as she showcased not one, not two, but four outfits inspired
05:16by iconic artworks.
05:17I thought it would be really cool and fun to go on a tour of significant art movements, and yes,
05:24that's my face on my skirt.
05:25But she wasn't the only one with a story to tell.
05:28Monet X Change also sold it with three distinct looks that doubled as a mini-lesson in black history.
05:33While there were brilliantly executed reveals across the board, no one did it as seamlessly as Jada Essence Hall,
05:40who served four stunning looks without leaving a single garment behind.
05:44Now that is renewable fashion at its finest.
05:47I am serving you all the four seasons because, baby, I am a queen of all seasons.
05:53Oh my goodness.
05:55Gorgeous.
05:56Number 25. Bring Back My Pearls
05:59Pearls are synonymous with elegance.
06:01So when the queens of All Stars 9 were tasked with turning out looks that incorporated them, they knew they
06:06had to deliver.
06:07When I made this, I was thinking of a flapper.
06:10This one is more of a reference to old-school Roxy.
06:13You know, I've been kind of changing my silhouettes here.
06:15Texture, weight, and movement became the real challenge.
06:19Well-known fashion queens like Gottmik and Plastique Tiara lived up to expectations,
06:23with the former opting for a black structured bodysuit design,
06:26and the latter serving a gorgeous mythical gown dripping in the jewelry.
06:30The Pearl is here.
06:31The birth of Venus.
06:33The birth of Plastique.
06:34Who run the world? Pearls.
06:37But even the queens not specifically known for their fashion delivered.
06:41Ingeria Paris Van Michaels embraced classic glamour with southern pageant polish,
06:45while Vanessa Van G. surprised everyone with a giant clamshell and a pearl corseted outfit.
06:50Grandma's jewelry box has never looked so expensive.
06:53I know there ain't no more pearls left in Zantiali, I'm gonna tell you that right now.
06:57I cleared it out, and I know I'm looking right.
06:59Number 24. Black Wedding.
07:02Bridal elegance, but make it gothic.
07:04The queens were tasked with presenting wedding gowns in black,
07:07flipping traditional bridal expectations with a gothic twist.
07:10I am feeling my jantisy hardcore.
07:13I take my ring off, and I flip this entire wedding on its head.
07:17Due to its particularly somber theme, the runway looks all felt cohesive yet wildly varied,
07:23as each queen delivered their unique takes on the category.
07:27Gigi Goode stunned with a simple but elegant dress with a flared tulle skirt and a classic blonde wig.
07:32I'm cinched in at the waist and then just jutting out at the hips.
07:37I have my tiny little wedding ring that you just have to squint to see,
07:41because I can't over-accessorize in this type of look.
07:44Jada Essence Hall stunned in a more traditional gown.
07:46Things were a lot less somber for her, however,
07:49as she walked down the aisle with extravagant jewelry and perfectly coiffed hair.
07:53On the other hand, Crystal Method took a conceptual approach with her Tim Burton-esque creation.
07:58There was no shortage of impressive looks that night.
08:01And then when I take off that mask, boom, bitch!
08:04Look at it in my eyes! She ain't got no soul!
08:07Number 23. I Can Buy Myself Flowers.
08:10Florals on Drag Race? Surprisingly groundbreaking.
08:13Every detail on this outfit is thought out.
08:16I'm always gonna surprise you.
08:18This was by no means the first time Drag Race did a flower-themed runway.
08:22But the season 16 queens completely blew the cast of All-Stars 3 out of the water with their outfits.
08:28Plasma, who was just coming off a phenomenal performance in the Rusical,
08:32made everyone do a double take with her floral interpretation of Audrey Hepburn's ascot dress from My Fair Lady.
08:38So my favorite movie musicals of all time are My Fair Lady and, you guessed it, Funny Girl.
08:42And of course in Funny Girl, she gets a blue marble egg and yellow roses.
08:46So I'm decked in yellow roses.
08:48Then, Sephira Cristal had everyone's jaws on the floor with one of the most voluminous garments that has ever walked
08:53the Drag Race runway.
08:54Other standouts of the night included Q, Nymphia Wind, and Tsunami Muse, who all blossomed on the runway with creativity.
09:01The bodice are the stems, and the ruffles are the flowers.
09:07So the ruffles in motion are fully bringing the whole fantasy alive.
09:13Number 22.
09:14Trains for Days.
09:15The Trains for Days are beautiful ostrich feathers.
09:19Not chicken mama, this is ostrich.
09:21And I'm serving it.
09:22For their first runway after both teams were merged, the season 13 queens had to present looks featuring dramatic trains,
09:29forcing them to think about scale and runway choreography.
09:32Simone stunned with her tribute to black excellence, strutting down the runway with a do-rag that extended into a
09:38regal train.
09:39You couldn't tell her nothing.
09:40A do-rag is a part of black culture, and I want to celebrate that on the stage.
09:46Ain't nothing wrong with wearing no do-rag.
09:48Utica went down the more eccentric route, taking a page out of a Carol Burnett sketch to create a curtains
09:53-inspired look.
09:54Although she eventually went home that episode, Camorra Hall had arguably the most gorgeous look of the night, as she
10:00cascaded down the runway in a scaled gown with shimmering dragon pieces on her shoulders.
10:05I am feeling so glamorous and beautiful.
10:07I am the East Asian mother of dragons.
10:10Daenerys, move out the way, bitch.
10:12Longer really was better here.
10:14Number 21.
10:15I'm crowning.
10:16All-Star 7 opened with a royal flush, as the All-Winners cast presented looks representing their reigns.
10:22Raja channeled her inner royal with a Golden Sun King ensemble, complete with an intricate headdress that radiated power.
10:28Raja means king in Indonesian, so I wanted to go with the ultimate gay king idea of Louis XIV.
10:35I designed the outfit, basically shoe first, and then I built the look around it.
10:40Jinx Monsoon embraced fantasy with a witchy red gown and a crown of sun rays.
10:44Then, we had Shea Coulee, who commanded attention in an African-inspired royal ensemble featuring massive emerald earrings and a
10:51towering headdress that celebrated black excellence.
10:54I have my crown made of braids.
10:58I have these ear prosthetics with beautiful jade green gauges.
11:05The runway brilliantly established the stakes for the season, with each queen visually declaring why they deserved to be crowned
11:12the queen of all queens.
11:14Their diverse interpretations of royalty showed how each winner had carved out their unique place in the drag pantheon.
11:20I'm serving you crowns, crayons, I'm dripping in crayons, and just channeling a young RuPaul in the most punk-evy
11:28way I know how.
11:29Number 20. Angelic White
11:31This proved that even the simplest ideas can garner the most gorgeous results.
11:36After the roast and fake funeral of Lady Bunny, Ru decided to continue the bit by having everybody hit the
11:41stage in their most angelic attire.
11:43Category is Angelic White.
11:46There was no shortage of spectacular white gowns, and everyone who wore one looked beautiful.
11:51However, a few queens added their unique spin.
11:54Naomi Smalls stunned in a prince-inspired look, complete with a guitar, while Monet exchange wowed the judges in an
12:01extraordinary pope-like outfit.
12:02It even came with a long train and bedazzled miter.
12:05Just goes to show that no matter how straightforward the prompt seems, some queens will find a way to make
12:11it their own.
12:12America, I am giving you angelic white realness, serving you Josephine Baker, mixed with Michael the Archangel.
12:21It's beautiful.
12:22Number 19. Wigs on Wigs on Wigs
12:25Damn, girl!
12:27Somebody just graduated from the Lacefront Institute of Technology.
12:31Yeah! L-I-T!
12:32L-I-T!
12:34This category isn't just fun, it's also apparently a reference to Season 5's Whip My Hair lip-sync when Roxy
12:40Andrews delivered a sickening wig reveal.
12:42The All-Star's three competitors were tasked with showing off their own surprise hair, ranging from straightforward to hilarious.
12:49Aja, in particular, had the genius idea to hold up a cutout of giant anime hair, before dropping it to
12:54uncover her wigs.
12:55Meanwhile, Trixie Mattel and Ben de la Creme opted to display new outfits along with their hairpieces.
13:01And who could forget the campy delight that was Shangela coming out as an ear of corn?
13:05Corn is something that will forever be associated with me.
13:08Look, I'm from the country and I keep it real.
13:11Nothing says that better than corn.
13:13Overall, it was a fun twist and the perfect homage to a classic moment from the show.
13:17Number 18. Chaps on the Runway
13:20Chaps can somehow make even the simplest look seem trendy.
13:23And the queens definitely showcased how to infuse them with both chicness and sexiness.
13:28The main standout was Lady Camden, who pretended to trip and lose her wig, only to reveal a mustache instead.
13:36Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh!
13:39You okay?
13:40Oh, shoot.
13:41Face first, this is every drag queen's nightmare.
13:46Surprise!
13:47That she was able to take such a prompt and give it an iconic reveal is a testament to her
13:51undeniable creativity.
13:53Of course, everyone else came through in Slate as well.
13:56Diabetti's business suit and Bosco's hippie-inspired garb showed the versatility of chaps as an accessory that can complement everything.
14:03This theme allowed everyone to feel comfortable and confident in themselves, which is an automatic win in our book.
14:08Baby, I am feeling like I am in Studio 54 right now.
14:13Baby, I feel so lovely. I got my bones straight, hair on.
14:16I feel like share in the future.
14:19Number 17. Night of a Thousand RuPaul's
14:21While there have been many Night of a Thousand categories on the show, the original honored the diva herself, RuPaul.
14:28This theme not only allowed each queen to model their own version of an iconic Ru look, it also provided
14:34the audience with insight into the host's history.
14:36I wore this outfit to the VH1 Fashion Awards.
14:39Yes, you did.
14:41Bob Mackie.
14:42A majority opted for her well-known dresses while slightly tweaking them.
14:46Bianca in particular pointed out that she was dressed as an age-appropriate version of the star.
14:52I am serving age-appropriate Ru.
14:54I'm giving Ru realness now.
14:56And I'm feeling good.
14:57However, it was Milk who blew everyone out of the water by daring to wear a suit and bald cap
15:03to portray workroom Ru.
15:04While she got some pushback, Milk's normalization of traditional masculine garments allowed future queens to confidently rock pants of their
15:12own.
15:13Number 16. The Color Purple
15:14Themes centered around colors are always stunning.
15:18And what better choice than that of royalty?
15:20This Season 12 challenge showed how just one hue could inspire people in different ways.
15:25There were so many different representations of the color and drag itself.
15:29We had gorgeous garments like Jada Essence Hauls that showed just how polished pageant drag can be.
15:34On the flip side, Gigi pulled off a stellar reference to Daphne from Scooby-Doo,
15:38while Jackie Cox stood out as a fashionable version of the Purple People Eater.
15:42The first thing I think of when I hear the word purple is that song.
15:46The one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple pupil eater.
15:49I'm having a lot of fun with it.
15:51Each interpretation showed off a different facet of the art form,
15:54speaking to how valid and sickening they all are.
15:57Regardless of the creative direction they took,
15:59every single queen looked drop-dead gorgeous.
16:02Number 15. The Pleather Principle
16:04The all-winner season was a fashion showcase,
16:08and the Pleather Principle runway was just the tip of the iceberg.
16:11When one thinks of pleather, they may think of classic leather jackets or pants.
16:16However, it was clear from the beginning that these queens were not taking the easy route.
16:20This week on the runway, I wanted to serve something from my inner child.
16:25I was obsessed with anime growing up.
16:28Twinning!
16:29Whether they went for bright, vivid colors or a darker palette,
16:32these legends presented a set of seductive and stylish outfits.
16:36Clearly, everyone had polished their aesthetics to a tee,
16:39and it was genuinely inspiring to be able to witness their growth in real time.
16:43This runway was the perfect introduction to All-Star 7,
16:46pairing perfectly with the strong snatch game that preceded it
16:49to give us one of the season's most beloved episodes.
16:51It's so wonderful to be here.
16:55It's wonderful to be anywhere, really.
16:57Yes.
16:58You know, I've been dead for quite some time.
17:02Number 14. Animal Kingdom Couture
17:04The animal kingdom is vast,
17:07and many of the creatures within it are naturally patterned.
17:10This makes it a fantastic concept for a runway category.
17:13Each contestant showcased their creativity by donning costumes,
17:16which transformed them into different creatures.
17:18Critters of all sizes were represented,
17:20from elephants to flies,
17:22offering everyone a chance to step outside their comfort zones.
17:25Michelle, I didn't want to say this,
17:26but there's an elephant in the room.
17:28Yes.
17:29Bianca drifted from her regular aesthetic,
17:32adopting a fierce leopard look with matching face paint,
17:35while Trinity stunned in a Phoenix-inspired ensemble.
17:37But it was Courtney Act who topped the spectacle
17:39with a massive pair of eagle wings that fanned out at the perfect moment.
17:43Wow.
17:44Look at the size of those wings.
17:45Yes.
17:46Prepare for takeoff.
17:48It's times like this that demonstrate why Season 6 was so well-loved.
17:53Number 13.
17:54Eloquence After Dark
17:55A classic elegant gown will never go out of fashion.
17:59The girls got to show off their sophisticated style
18:01as they sauntered down the runway in gorgeous dresses.
18:04They all managed to adjust it to their own personal style,
18:07such as Trinity the Tuck's hip cutouts
18:08and Naomi Small's avant-garde edge.
18:10This is Naomi Smalls serving you very VIP, heavy metal reflective.
18:17Now I know where my car sunscreens went.
18:19Moe Hart even incorporated an equally stunning nude illusion.
18:23However, even those who kept things simple were still dressed to the nines.
18:27It was an opportunity for everyone to maximize their joint sleigh.
18:30And they definitely succeeded.
18:32Baby, I'm serving old Hollywood glam, building my eloquence, eleganza, extravaganza.
18:39This being an all-star season meant that everyone got to show how much their eye for style had evolved
18:44since their original appearance on the show.
18:47Number 12.
18:47Bearded and Beautiful
18:49After Milk's surprising beard reveal in season 6,
18:52RuPaul asked her queens to lend their own glamour to facial hair.
18:56Oh dear.
18:57Now I've heard of a Milk mustache, but...
19:00Honey.
19:01Trixie Mattel took the opportunity to blend the romance of a mythical goddess
19:04with a beard ripped straight from Jesus.
19:07Mrs. Kasha Davis rocked an intriguingly androgynous outfit,
19:10while Violet Tchotchke's retro look questioned traditional gender imagery.
19:13Though Kennedy's scruff was a bit rugged,
19:16Jasmine Masters decided to just draw a stubble on her face.
19:19Spacey creations like Candy Ho's avant-garde Fu Manchu and Pearl's Crimson Shards
19:24also lent some surreal qualities to the week's selections.
19:27This update on a once-criticized outfit decision showed ingenuity from contestants
19:31and open minds from the judges.
19:33I am trying so hard to remain elegant with this beard,
19:37but I am selling it.
19:39Who knew I was the model?
19:40Number 11.
19:41Mermaid Fantasy
19:43Mermaids are some of the most alluring and enigmatic mythological entities,
19:47making them the perfect inspiration for a runway category.
19:50My mermaid look is heavy metal and reflective.
19:53I am spray-painted, I am sequins,
19:56I am every girly thing that I would usually avoid,
19:59but I just wanted to feel full of fantasy.
20:02To keep the fantasy,
20:03everyone wore a tail and was pushed down the runway in a wheelchair.
20:06You'd think that this would diminish their presentations,
20:09but instead, it made the small details pop even more.
20:12Asia O'Hara made a splash, literally, with her fish mask,
20:15and Aquaria showed a dark yet realistic depiction of a modern mermaid caught in an oil spill.
20:20This look brought to you by the Exxon Valtese.
20:23Black gold.
20:24Texas tea.
20:25Queens like Cameron Michaels, on the other hand,
20:28opted to display the classic beauty of these fictional characters.
20:31Regardless of the route they took,
20:32they all served in their own way,
20:34and definitely made the undersea beauties proud.
20:37Number 10.
20:38What's your sign?
20:39This is a fan favorite,
20:41and it's clear to see why.
20:43The contestants had the opportunity to showcase their interpretation
20:46of their respective zodiac signs on the main stage.
20:49Goats are very agile,
20:50and that's very much my personality.
20:52I thrive in rough terrain.
20:54With 12 different options available,
20:56the queens certainly had a large pool to choose from.
20:58Even if a sign was repeated,
21:00it still managed to be translated differently.
21:02Each competitor demonstrated an impressive attention to detail,
21:06highlighting just how much thought and care they put into the theme.
21:09Vanessa Vanjie Mateo stole the spotlight in her Libra regalia,
21:13complete with a giant scale hanging from her head.
21:15Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, Libra.
21:18Now this is a balanced look.
21:20The category was so well received,
21:22that some fans can't help but hope it'll be recycled,
21:25or should we say,
21:26re-cycled,
21:26in a future season.
21:28Number 9.
21:29Club Kid Couture.
21:29It's always a treat when the show references another facet of LGBTQIA plus culture.
21:35Club Kids are a staple in the community's history,
21:37with RuPaul herself having been one in her youth.
21:40They had an influence on like every type of drag,
21:43beauty drag,
21:43pageant drag,
21:44it all has,
21:45I think,
21:45felt the legacy of the Club Kids.
21:48They were known for their eclectic and fashion-forward attire,
21:50so to say that people were excited about it is an understatement.
21:54The Queens themselves were ecstatic,
21:56and even discussed the performers' importance to not only the club scene,
22:00but fashion in general.
22:01It was an underground party culture,
22:04that really pushed the boundaries of queer aesthetics.
22:07It didn't just shift drag,
22:09it shifted fashion.
22:10On the main stage,
22:11they each showed off their rendition of the assignment,
22:14and the result was everything.
22:16Each was an homage to the subculture in some way,
22:18with standouts including Shea's Lee Bowery-inspired attire,
22:22and Peppermint,
22:23who incorporated her own name into her overall presentation.
22:28Violet Chachki's outfit within an outfit on season 7 shocked Carson Kressley,
22:33and spawned a runway theme driven by reveals.
22:43Whereas most queens merged two costumes,
22:46Detox evolved a short dress into a coat,
22:48and then a club-ready unitard.
22:50Oh, yes!
22:53Oh, and there's more!
22:55Every time I step on the runway,
22:57I want it to be something different.
22:58I want to blow them away.
22:59Oh!
23:01And that's the fun of drag to me.
23:03Roxy Andrews followed a Spanish theme with her flamenco look,
23:06which she transformed into a Latina pop star ensemble.
23:10Selena in the house.
23:12Hello!
23:12If anybody knows anything about a reveal,
23:15she, me, her, she does!
23:17I'm serving Latina diva on this runway.
23:20The combat-ready look from Fifi only got fancier
23:23when it burst into a gold ball gown.
23:25That's a nice ascot.
23:26Ah, yes!
23:29Ah, yes!
23:29I'm super proud of this look.
23:31I came up with the design myself,
23:32and I feel gorgeous!
23:34Alaska's nightmarish mass of black cloth
23:36left the panel lost for words
23:38until she emerged as Lil' Poundcake.
23:42It's Lil' Poundcake!
23:46Whether it was motif consistency
23:48or unexpectedly perfect combinations,
23:51everyone had their own take on this theme.
23:53I'm ready for my close-up.
23:55Ah!
23:57Girl, please.
23:58I'm taking selfie to a whole nother level.
24:01Paparazzi who?
24:02Oh, I see why you love me, darling.
24:05Number 7.
24:06Fantasy Hair Extravaganza
24:07The first two rounds of Roe's hair-themed fashion show
24:10were pretty standard,
24:11and their locks simply accented certain styles.
24:14I have a powdered wig going.
24:17I have my little, like, curls on the side.
24:19And I'm feeling fierce.
24:20And the judges are living.
24:22Oh, look at all the cameos.
24:23And look at the candelabra in her hair.
24:25The last category, however,
24:27asked for an outfit made out of wigs.
24:29The sheer range of colors
24:30and candy-inspired details from Raja
24:32was totally unbelievable.
24:34There was plenty of buzz around Manila's bee costume,
24:36and Shangela's ragged warrior
24:38had its own furry weapon.
24:40Jada Sofia went above and beyond
24:41with her hairy bra,
24:42and she gave new meaning to poodle skirts.
24:45It's like a scorpion on the top.
24:49I feel so fabulous.
24:51Sofia's additional leaning beehive
24:53and curly purse also left us gagging.
24:55All these outside-the-box interpretations
24:57on the Fantasy Hair Extravaganza
24:59wow judges as much as viewers.
25:01Thighs wide open.
25:03Yes, hunty.
25:04Wild, wild west.
25:06Miss Kitty never looked so good.
25:11Season 4 had an impressive start
25:13thanks to a challenge that mixed garbage
25:15with a lot of glam.
25:17You've got three minutes to grab what you can
25:19and avoid being eaten alive.
25:21LaShawn Beyond's towering hat
25:23was only outdone by her elegantly stitched dress.
25:26There was a regal power to Fifi's garb
25:28that was reminiscent of a Tina Turner look.
25:30Willem shredded a predictable beauty queen getup
25:32to make it look like she'd escaped an explosion.
25:34Though Chad and Milan delivered style,
25:37no one could hold a candle
25:38to Sharon Needle's stellar disco zombie.
25:40While it could have been as silly
25:42as the derelict fashion line from Zoolander,
25:44the post-apocalyptic category
25:46inspired some of the fiercest looks we've seen
25:48across the entire franchise.
25:50The best part was slowly letting out
25:53a giant mouthful of fake blood all over my body
25:56and that's when I really saw Rue's eyebrow raise.
25:59Number 5.
26:00All glowed up.
26:01When the all-winner season was first announced,
26:03the expectations for everyone's style were already high.
26:07This idea took those expectations and exceeded them.
26:10For this episode,
26:11the queens got to strut the stage
26:12in glow-in-the-dark ensembles,
26:14resulting in one of the most elevated runways ever.
26:17Seeing the transformation from a seemingly normal outfit
26:20to a radiant display of bright lights
26:22was truly breathtaking.
26:23I'm serving you nothing but the brightest,
26:26most sickening mermaid fantasy.
26:28I'm glowing like I were working in Vegas,
26:31selling you on Treasure Island.
26:33A couple even incorporated the bulbs into their wigs,
26:36creating a more immersive experience.
26:38Each individual concept was meticulously thought out
26:41and perfectly executed.
26:43But we have to shout out Jinx,
26:45whose historical reference to the witch trials
26:47left an indelible mark.
26:48So while I am a witch being burned alive,
26:51I'm going to show that the flames don't hurt me
26:54and do not diminish my power.
26:58Suffice it to say,
26:59there wasn't a single boot to be found
27:01among this lineup of champions.
27:06With the feminine focus that usually goes into drag race,
27:09the half-man, half-queen theme
27:11pushed everyone to up the testosterone levels.
27:14For the first time in drag race herstory,
27:17you'll be decked out in half-man and half-queen drag.
27:23For Ginger Minj's western aesthetic,
27:25this meant tassels, rhinestones, and facial hair
27:27that stopped right down the middle of her face.
27:29While Trixie Mattel's cowboy didn't tie in well with her cowgirl,
27:33each character was beautifully defined
27:34when she was filmed in profile.
27:36Kennedy did a great job contrasting each gender,
27:39and Pearl used her makeup to create a visual split between her roles.
27:42Violet was one of the few contestants to wear opposing footwear,
27:46and her mustache was a simple but effective touch.
27:48The dance challenge highlighted the strengths of each appearance as well,
27:52bringing some extra fun to this gender-bending episode.
27:55Number 3.
27:56Hello Kitty
27:56Hello Kitty!
28:00Hey Kitty Girl, come on down here!
28:03Konnichiwa, bitches!
28:05For Katya's unique version of a Hello Kitty doll,
28:08she created a comically tacky babushka who loved socialism.
28:11Pearl's Madonna-influenced gangster kitty was equally goofy,
28:15while Kennedy even tried to fit her personal look to the kitty theme.
28:18With her lovely meat tag earring,
28:20Ginger's southern cow took advantage of other animals from the Japanese brand.
28:24Violet built a beautiful headpiece out of merchandise for the second part of the theme,
28:28and turned pins into jewel-like details.
28:31Though Katya designed a luscious catsuit,
28:33Kennedy's Catwoman outfit tied into the Hello Kitty products much better.
28:36Interestingly enough, Pearl stood out for her minimalistic use of pink memorabilia.
28:41The creative results of the Hello Kitty challenge showed viewers that brand-heavy runways could still be exciting.
28:47She woke up like that.
28:49Actually, she literally slept in that.
28:52Number 2.
28:53Latex extravaganza
28:55Rubber hit the runway on the second week of All Stars 2 for looks that were skin-tight and visually
29:00distinct.
29:01While Roxy Andrews created a Janet Jackson-style frock,
29:04Alaska transformed her black latex into something out of a futuristic dance club.
29:08Nine parts supermodel and one part robot.
29:12And ready for insertion.
29:14Alyssa Edwards started in black too,
29:16but her yellow dress reveal was loud and preppy.
29:19Fifi O'Hara even added some rubber duck jewelry to her ensemble to highlight its nautical aesthetic.
29:24Detox brought a rare thigh gap to the show in her stunning red suit,
29:28and sported a matching headpiece as well.
29:30With its glossy fabric and plenty of sex appeal,
29:33the latex extravaganza put form to the forefront.
29:36She's into water sports.
29:38Oh, it's Esther Williams' cousin, Fister Williams.
29:43Wow, look at those breast strokes.

30:03Number 1. Death Becomes Her
30:05To bring humor and elegance to the afterlife,
30:08Ginger Minj placed herself in a bearskin and used entrails as a necklace.
30:12I am serving you baby bear realness, honey.
30:15I give a little spin, I strike a little pose, I give a little growl.
30:19Though Katya was already a sickening captain with flashy sequins,
30:22her half-eaten shark foot was a hilarious touch.
30:25Pearl also had us in tears when she roasted Kennedy's confusing animalistic outfit.
30:30After a night of hooking, I got attacked and thrown in the fire and crystallized.
30:35So I come out a fierce, glamazon drag queen, honey.
30:40Jaden told a surprisingly detailed story for her prison zombie
30:44and gave her barbed wire details intriguing depth.
30:47What had happened was I got put in jail and then I tried to escape to go see my baby
30:53daddy.
30:53And I didn't quite make it over that fence.
30:56It is criminal to look that good.
30:59Violet risked her life for fashion with a cinch so unbelievably tight
31:03that Ariana Grande screamed at the reveal.
31:05Oh my god.
31:09I'm numb from the waist down, tuck included.
31:12I really could die, bitch. I'm giving you realness.
31:15She's got a smaller waist than Barbie.
31:17Wow, don't sneeze, honey. It's all gonna pop.
31:19Amazing.
31:20Between blood, weapons, and body parts,
31:23Death Becomes Her has cemented itself as one of the most memorable themes in Drag Race herstory.
31:28She's got a splitting headache.
31:29The last time I'll eat it, Benihana.
31:32Which category do you think the queen slayed the hardest?
31:35Let us know in the comments.
31:41I'll see you guys.
31:42Thanks for this.
