00:00Are you a Dalek, baby? Do you want to exterminate me? Call today.
00:04Welcome to Ms. Mojo. And today, we're counting down our picks for the SNL hosts,
00:10musical guests, or guest stars who apparently left the cast with a bitter aftertaste.
00:15This host made multiple cast members cry on Wednesday before the table.
00:21Number 20. Morgan Wallen. Wallen's 2025 appearance didn't explode into a headline-grabbing feud,
00:29but it certainly set the rumor mill ablaze.
00:32How are you?
00:33I'm not sure.
00:33Thank you so much to Morgan Wallen. I had a wonderful time. Thank you all.
00:39The country superstar created a buzz when he abruptly exited the stage during the live goodnights.
00:45His subsequent cryptic Instagram posts did little to douse speculation,
00:49nor did his team's attempts at damage control, insisting there was no drama,
00:54especially after whispers surfaced that Joe Jonas was called in to step into a sketch
00:58Wallen allegedly refused to do.
01:01Believe in yourself. Believe in the line. You deserve this viral Greek yogurt.
01:09Order Charlie Serena's wine.
01:12Wallen later told an interviewer he was, quote,
01:15just ready to go home. I had been there all week. That doesn't exactly sound like something someone
01:20who had a good time might say, now does it?
01:23SNL. Do they make you mad?
01:25No. No, I was just ready to go home. I've been there all week.
01:28You need to get your plane. Get me to God's country.
01:31Yeah.
01:32Number 19. Jeremy Irons.
01:34Irons' 1991 hosting gig might not have set the ratings on fire, but behind the scenes,
01:39it created quite the storm.
01:41This is, for me, the most eventful week. Tonight, I'm hosting Saturday Night Live, and
01:47Monday, and let me just get this out of the way, I'll be at the Academy Awards,
01:50having been nominated for Best Actor.
01:52Apparently, Irons clashed with the writing staff, most notably a young Bob Odenkirk.
01:57He was reportedly less than thrilled with the monologue penned by Odenkirk and Rob Schneider,
02:02and he let his displeasure be known in a tirade so memorable
02:05that Odenkirk actually recorded it for posterity.
02:09I can sing. I can do Shakespeare. I can juggle. I can do anything, and you have me do this!
02:18That tape has reportedly made the rounds among comedy insiders. In retrospect, Odenkirk admits
02:24the material was subpar, but credits Irons as a, quote, trooper for delivering it live.
02:29Still, it's safe to say that even Scar showed more subtlety when dishing out insults.
02:34I'm surrounded by idiots.
02:37Number 18, Paula Abdul. Paula Abdul may not have hosted SNL,
02:42but her 2005 guest appearance is infamous for all the wrong reasons. Just ask Tina Fey.
02:48All right, great sketch, you guys. I just have three notes.
02:51The sketch in question poked fun at tabloid rumors swirling around Abdul's American Idol tenure.
02:57Amy Poehler played the judge, even though the real Paula was right there on set.
03:01That odd choice was reportedly Abdul's own, much to the cast's exasperation.
03:07Amy, you need to perfect the clap a little more and be a lot more sexier so that contestants will
03:13be willing to sleep with you.
03:15Fey didn't mince words, later describing the experience as, quote,
03:18awful and, quote, disastrous in the way she generally appears to be.
03:23Years later, Fey recalled locking eyes with Abdul on a plane and seeing her expression change with
03:29recognition as though it brought back the less than pleasant memory. Cold-hearted indeed.
03:38Number 17, Louis C.K.
03:40In 2019, Pete Davidson pulled back the curtain on one of his own uncomfortable experiences with a host.
03:46At the time, he was someone that you would look up to and want approval of at the time.
03:54At the time, it was someone you wanted to be nice to you.
03:57During his stand-up special, he shared that Louis C.K. allegedly tried to get him fired.
04:02Davidson, who had looked up to this host as a comedy heavyweight,
04:06was blindsided when the host reportedly called a meeting with Lorne Michaels and other staff
04:11to air grievances about Pete's, um, recreational habits.
04:15And as I was leaving to go into the elevators, um, Louis C.K. was, like, holding court
04:21and talking to, like, a bunch of the cast and writers and, like, cool people.
04:26And, like, they were, like, clearly very into a conversation.
04:29Davidson was summoned to Lorne's office, bracing for the worst.
04:32But getting away with a very mild slap on the wrist at most.
04:35Again, I'm sorry to have this conversation with you, but Louis brought it to my attention and said,
04:40you know, you're smoking your career away and you smoked so much weed in the office the other day
04:44that it actually made him uncomfortable.
04:46The irony, of course, is that C.K. himself would soon face a very public reckoning over his own conduct.
04:52Number 16. Adrian Brody
04:54Brody's one and only hosting gig is remembered for a single jaw-dropping moment that instantly
05:00entered the show's hall of infamy.
05:02You know, me got Sean Peter, you know, you got Sean Paul, you got Sean Mary, you got Sean John.
05:07The trouble peaked when Brody, without any heads up to the writers or Lorne Michaels,
05:12introduced musical guest Sean Paul while sporting fake dreadlocks and delivering a painfully tone-deaf
05:18Jamaican patois accent for nearly a minute.
05:21You know, me respect, me next spec, me next spec, me next spec, you know.
05:24You got a great show, you know.
05:27And a king stunt, man.
05:31That unscripted stunt was just the tip of the iceberg.
05:34Brody had apparently already spent the week shooting down sketch after sketch
05:38while pitching his own ideas that failed to land.
05:40But it was his rogue Sean Paul intro that sealed his fate, reportedly earning him a permanent
05:46spot on Lorne's unofficial blacklist.
05:49I give a big up, enough respect, I dance hard players, you know.
05:52And I shun John!
05:54Number 15. Martin Lawrence
05:56When Lorne took the SNL stage at the height of his sitcom stardom,
06:00no one could have predicted just how off the rails his monologue would go.
06:04I am so happy to be here.
06:06This is a dream come true for me.
06:07I mean, hosting Saturday Night Live, I watched everybody, all of them on here.
06:11And I was like, when I'm gonna get my chance?
06:12When I'm gonna get my chance?
06:13But damn it, now it's my chance.
06:15Ain't no stopping me now.
06:17What began as a routine opener quickly spiraled into a graphic,
06:21unfiltered rant about feminine hygiene.
06:24Not only did SNL apparently ban him, but the network itself stepped in as well.
06:29Word is, Lawrence had already tested the material in rehearsal
06:32and had been warned to steer clear, but went rogue anyway.
06:36It's bothering me, man.
06:38You know, you can't say this, you can't say that.
06:41I'm like, well, how am I gonna talk about the world?
06:43The fallout backstage was palpable,
06:45with cast members reportedly uncomfortable and frustrated by his disregard for the rules.
06:50Phil Hartman is even said to have called it a betrayal,
06:53claiming Lawrence had, quote, stabbed us in the back.
06:56Well, look here, y'all.
06:58We got a great show for you tonight, because I'm here.
07:01That's right.
07:04I'm here.
07:06Crash, yo, yo.
07:07Crash test dummies are here.
07:08So, yo, we'll be back.
07:10Hang on.
07:10We gonna be back.
07:11We gonna do our thing.
07:13Number 14, Tom Green.
07:15If you want to guarantee a rocky start at SNL,
07:18try showing up with your own writers
07:20and treating the show like an extension of your personal brand.
07:23I mean, the stuff we wrote was really, really weird, you know?
07:29And, um, and, uh...
07:31Were you intent on making it weird?
07:32I think we were, yeah.
07:33Like, how weird can we make this?
07:35It's SNL, let's make it ours.
07:36I think so, I think so.
07:37Tom Green did just that,
07:39resulting in an episode that most fans would rather forget.
07:42Green's offbeat, anarchic humor
07:44clashed with SNL's ensemble spirit.
07:47And according to cast member Horatio Sanz,
07:50he seemed more invested in pushing his own agenda
07:52than collaborating with the team.
07:54Looks like the baby eagle flew out of the forest
07:57and now he's going into the audience.
07:59Look at him go!
08:01Green himself later admitted he was, quote,
08:03aggressively trying to deconstruct everything that I encountered,
08:06a strategy that didn't exactly win hearts backstage.
08:09Still, to his credit,
08:11Green has expressed a willingness to try again,
08:13even if just to make amends.
08:15Yeah, I sort of understand how the system of it works now.
08:18And it would be, you know, probably,
08:24you know, I probably would not have done that.
08:26Number 13, Kanye West.
08:29You know why Ye is here.
08:31We don't think anyone will ever forget.
08:33However, we're here to discuss those events
08:35from the perspective of the cast,
08:36some of whom reportedly walked off stage in protest.
08:40I was like, I don't want to be up here for this
08:42because I don't agree with this.
08:44And standing up here looks like I'm standing in solidarity.
08:46So I was like, don't make any faces.
08:48Neutral face, neutral face.
08:50Everyone's got to know I'm just fulfilling my duties.
08:52Kenan Thompson later revealed that he felt like
08:54they had been, quote, held hostage
08:56while the rapper went rambling on,
08:58adding that he mostly felt bad for everyone
09:00who just had to stand there and endure it.
09:03Michael Che even confronted Kanye backstage
09:05during an interaction that later appeared in the documentary,
09:08In Whose Name?
09:09Then there was Pete Davidson,
09:11who addressed the entire situation head-on
09:13during Weekend Update with his usual, brutally honest humor.
09:16Being mentally ill is not an excuse to act like a jackass.
09:20Okay?
09:21And I'm quoting my therapist, my mom, and my mailman.
09:28Number 12, Robert Blake.
09:30Blake's hosting gig is a masterclass
09:32in how to alienate an entire writing staff in record time.
09:35I want to say I've been a big fan of this show
09:37for many moons, and I'm glad they had me here.
09:40I don't know why, but I'm glad they had me here.
09:42Apparently, he rejected nearly every script handed to him,
09:45reportedly going so far as to crumple one up
09:47and hurl it back at writer Gary Kroger,
09:50complete with a few choice words
09:51about where he could stick it.
09:53That moment alone sealed Blake's reputation among the staff.
09:56Would you shut off the set?
09:57Shut the set up, thank you.
09:59Writer Tim Kazerinsky later joked
10:02that Blake became the benchmark
10:03for testing a host's sense of humor,
10:05while David Sheffield didn't hold back,
10:07calling him the, quote,
10:09worst host they'd ever had.
10:11For fans, this episode was a prelude to his later infamy,
10:14and it's no surprise he was never invited back.
10:17Should contact this man.
10:18His name is Tim Kazerinsky,
10:20and you can write to him in care of me.
10:22No, no.
10:23You're right here.
10:23This, this is the cheapest thing you've ever done.
10:28This is the end.
10:29Number 11, Louise Lasser.
10:31There are plenty of SNL milestones to aspire to,
10:34but being the first host ever banned from the show
10:37probably isn't one of them.
10:38I wish I could tell you we had a great show for you,
10:40but I can't.
10:42No, it's not because of the show.
10:43I mean, the staff, everyone's great.
10:45It's just that I'm real tired.
10:49You may wonder why.
10:51That's the legacy Louise Lasser left
10:53after her one and only hosting gig in 1976.
10:56Behind the scenes, Lasser was reportedly unpredictable
11:00and difficult to work with,
11:01refusing to collaborate with certain cast members
11:04and frequently forgetting her lines.
11:06Her closing monologue didn't help matters,
11:08sealing her fate as SNL's original persona non grata.
11:11What a year, huh?
11:14I mean, this has been like the most incredible year for me.
11:17I mean, just so many things have happened to me
11:19and, you know, great and awful.
11:22Looking back, we wonder whether she would have been met
11:24with a little more sympathy nowadays.
11:26Still, she has since admitted that her erratic behavior
11:29was a deliberate protest against sketches she wanted cut,
11:33but was forced to perform.
11:34The next thing I know, like, I'm in this jail
11:37and they're questioning me and they took pictures.
11:41I mean, not great pictures, not terrible, though.
11:43I mean, not great, though.
11:44I mean, I wouldn't send them out as Christmas cards.
11:46Let's put it that way.
11:47Number 10, Donald Trump.
11:49People think I'm controversial,
11:51but the truth is I'm a nice guy.
11:54I don't hold grudges against anybody like Rosie O'Donnell.
12:01When Donald Trump hosted SNL in November 2015,
12:05he had only launched his presidential campaign
12:07a few months prior
12:08and wasn't yet the Republican frontrunner.
12:11Nevertheless, the decision to have him host
12:13reportedly caused an uproar among the show's cast and writers
12:17because of his controversial statements.
12:20Hi, I'm Donald Trump and I'll be hosting SNL with Sia.
12:23And the ratings are gonna be huge.
12:30That's my Donald Trump.
12:32Former cast member Taron Killam,
12:34who appeared with Trump in the opening monologue,
12:36later said Trump was, quote,
12:38not an enjoyable person to be around.
12:40He also called the decision to platform him, quote,
12:43embarrassing and shameful.
12:45It's really hard to have played a part
12:48in sort of encouraging or not even encouraging,
12:50but just offering a platform and promoting
12:53for someone who I find I'm constantly disappointed in.
12:57Additionally, it was reported in a book
12:59written by journalist Susan Morrison
13:01that writer and former cast member Tim Robinson
13:04said that showrunner Lorne Michaels had, quote,
13:07lost his mind for inviting Trump to host.
13:10Number nine, George Steinbrenner.
13:13The best SNL hosts show up as a blank slate
13:16and fully commit to whatever is thrown their way.
13:18The worst, like New York Yankees owner,
13:21George Steinbrenner, do the exact opposite.
13:23By no reasonable definition of the word
13:26can I be considered an entertainer.
13:29I mean, I'm not gonna wear a beard made of bees
13:32or drink kerosene and light my burps.
13:35No way.
13:37According to Conan O'Brien,
13:39who was a writer at the time,
13:40Steinbrenner came in with his own ideas
13:42of what he found personally funny.
13:45As a result, he shot down many of the staff's material
13:47and insisted on only doing what he liked.
13:50Unsurprisingly, the humor of a 60-year-old businessman
13:53didn't have wide appeal.
13:55I think it's just that your performance has been,
14:00well, Pete said that, well.
14:03Yes, sir?
14:04Well, how do you think you're doing here?
14:07As a result, most of the sketches fell flat,
14:10with Steinbrenner fumbling his way through them.
14:12The episode ended up being disliked,
14:14not just by the cast and writing staff,
14:16but also by the audience.
14:18What's the problem?
14:19Well, Warren, what's the joke here?
14:21What's the point of this whole sketch?
14:22Well, it's a parody of the ultra-slim-fast commercials.
14:25I know that, but why am I up here with these guys?
14:28They're ruthless dictators.
14:29I'm a baseball owner.
14:30Uh-huh.
14:31No, I understand.
14:32Number eight, Frank Zappa.
14:34Just like George Steinbrenner,
14:36musician Frank Zappa apparently showed up
14:38to his hosting gig with a list of sketch ideas
14:40and dished out orders to the cast and writers
14:43to develop them.
14:44Where did you meet our young man?
14:47I spotted her in the front row last night
14:49and I knew she was really special.
14:51Throughout the episode,
14:53Zappa tossed his professionalism out the window,
14:55possibly because he felt hosting the show was beneath him.
14:58This behavior began during rehearsals,
15:01but got even worse during the live telecast.
15:04Zappa spent the entire night making funny faces at the camera,
15:07which was a huge distraction to the cast,
15:09and even ad-libbing lines.
15:11Why don't the three of us get into my limo,
15:15drive down to LA together,
15:17and take this opportunity to really get down and rap?
15:21It was almost like he was deliberately trying to ruin the sketches.
15:25By the end, the cast was pissed off,
15:27Lauren Michaels was furious,
15:29and Zappa was banned from ever returning to the show.
15:32Frank, like, you really don't get high, do you?
15:36No, I don't do drugs.
15:38I just don't like the effects it has on some people.
15:44Number 7.
15:46Andrew Dice Clay
15:47Hey, get out of my face, all right?
15:50Can you see I wish I'd never been born?
15:52You've got your wish, Diceman.
15:54You've never been born.
15:56In the late 80s and early 90s,
15:59comedian Andrew Dice Clay made a name for himself
16:01with his controversial brand of humor.
16:03When he was billed to host SNL in May 1990,
16:06the network even instituted a five-to-seven-second delay
16:09out of concern for his famously foul mouth.
16:12You see, the only other time I wore this jacket...
16:16Go away!
16:17Go away!
16:18All right, snap ahead.
16:19Sit down, shut your mouth, and pay attention, all right?
16:23Some of the cast members also had their own concerns,
16:26most notably Nora Dunn,
16:28who objected to Clay's sexist, racist, and homophobic jokes.
16:32On principle, she refused to appear in the episode.
16:35Can I say something?
16:36I'd like to risk something.
16:37Good, good.
16:39Alex, I really care about you.
16:43I like you.
16:45But sometimes I have this fear
16:47that you're going to find out where I live
16:49and come late at night and assault me.
16:51This also led the scheduled musical guest,
16:54Sinead O'Connor, to drop out as well.
16:56It was the first and only time a cast member
16:59had taken such a stand,
17:00and it reportedly led to Dunn's contract
17:02not being renewed for the following season.
17:05We were well-known as the worst cast of 1985.
17:08Really?
17:09Well, we...
17:10I didn't think we were coming back.
17:12Number six, Milton Berle.
17:14When he hosted SNL in 1979,
17:17long after his days as the face of Texaco star theater,
17:20Milton Berle was a celebrated figure in comedy.
17:22But that meant he arrived with a huge ego,
17:25which he forgot to check at the door.
17:27Ladies and gentlemen, I was asked by the producer of this show
17:29to...
17:30What the hell?
17:34NBC just dropped another show.
17:36I, uh...
17:37All week, Berle was reportedly condescending
17:40to the cast members,
17:41questioning their comedic chops
17:43and insisting his own ideas
17:45were the only ones worth using.
17:47Then, during the telecast,
17:49he allegedly tried to upstage the cast
17:51and slipped in old comedy bits
17:53that no one had rehearsed.
17:55Lift up the coat.
17:58The coat is up.
18:03I can't see.
18:05I can't see it.
18:06He even reportedly flashed writer Alan Zweibel
18:09and cast member Gilda Radner
18:11in his dressing room.
18:12After capping the show
18:14with an arranged standing ovation for himself,
18:17Lorne Michaels banned him from ever hosting again.
18:20And I'd like to say,
18:21give me a live audience
18:22like you for the rest of my career.
18:26Thank you very, very much.
18:32Number 5.
18:33Justin Bieber.
18:34The Biebs had a notorious reputation
18:36in the early 2010s
18:37for his public behavior.
18:39That behavior seemed to spill over
18:41when he hosted SNL in 2013.
18:43It's like my dumb parents.
18:44It's like, nobody understands me, bruh.
18:47That's why I totally threw that clay portrait
18:49at my mother.
18:51Then she called the cops on me.
18:53According to former cast member Bill Hader,
18:55Justin Bieber lived up to every bit of the hype
18:58and not in a good way,
18:59calling him the worst behaved host
19:01he saw during his tenure on the show.
19:03Yeah, Bieber was, uh, yeah,
19:05he just was in a bad place.
19:07Maybe he's in a better place,
19:09but then he was in a very,
19:10it was rough.
19:11Bieber reportedly came surrounded
19:13by an entourage so huge,
19:15they made it impossible for the team
19:17to actually talk to him
19:18and build the sketches.
19:19The consequences of that
19:21were painfully evident
19:22in the live telecast.
19:23Bieber looked terribly unprepared
19:25and often resorted to winking
19:27at the audience
19:28whenever a sketch started to tank.
19:30How am I supposed to compete with this?
19:32Look at his gentle face, Papa.
19:37It's flawless.
19:39Who would not fall in love?
19:41Number four, Paris Hilton.
19:44During Paris Hilton's hosting gig in 2005,
19:47Seth Meyers placed a bet
19:48with his fellow cast members.
19:50He'd give a hundred bucks to anyone
19:51who Hilton asked a personal question.
19:54Turns out he got to keep his money.
19:56No one could really get Paris Hilton,
19:58our host,
19:58to engage in any personal conversations.
20:00We realized she hadn't asked
20:02any of us a personal question.
20:03And this one said,
20:05the first person she asks
20:06a personal question,
20:07I'll give a hundred bucks.
20:08Yeah.
20:09Didn't ask one person.
20:10No.
20:10Indeed, Hilton's unbothered energy
20:12was glaring throughout the week,
20:14as she showed very little desire
20:15to engage with the cast.
20:17According to Tina Fey,
20:18Hilton was a real piece of work
20:20who took herself too seriously
20:22and barely put any effort
20:24into the sketches.
20:25Does Doctor Who turn you on, baby?
20:27Well, I'm getting into my TARDIS right now.
20:29Ooh, I better put on
20:30my big floppy hat and scarf.
20:34I hope I don't find any Daleks here.
20:36The writers apparently noticed this
20:38and adjusted the sketches
20:39so she wouldn't appear long enough
20:41to tank them.
20:42It's no surprise, then,
20:43that she is regarded
20:44as one of the worst hosts
20:45in the show's history.
20:47What the hell are you doing in Switzerland?
20:49Oh, I've been coming here forever.
20:51I made it hot.
20:52Hold on a minute, hot stuff.
20:54I've been coming here forever.
20:56I'm the one who made it hot.
20:57Number three, Elon Musk.
21:00Just like his political ally,
21:01Donald Trump,
21:02the announcement that Elon Musk
21:04would host SNL
21:04wasn't well-received
21:06by the show's cast.
21:07To anyone I've offended,
21:08I just want to say
21:09I reinvented electric cars
21:11and I'm sending people
21:12to Mars in a rocket ship.
21:18Did you think I was also
21:20going to be a chill, normal dude?
21:23Their feelings didn't improve
21:24after the episode.
21:25If anything, they got worse.
21:27In an August 2024 interview,
21:30Bowen Yang revealed
21:30that an unnamed male host
21:32once made multiple cast members
21:34cry during the table read
21:35because he hated their ideas.
21:37A few months later,
21:39Chloe Fineman confirmed
21:40that the host in question
21:41was Musk,
21:42explaining that he had ridiculed
21:44a script she wrote for him.
21:45I see my producer Ragnarok
21:47is trying to get my attention.
21:49What's wrong?
21:50Did I mess up?
21:51You?
21:52Ha ha ha ha.
21:53Never.
21:56I just can't hold it any longer, Uli.
21:58I'm in love with you.
21:59Musk later admitted on Twitter
22:01that he lashed out
22:02because he was worried
22:03his SNL appearance
22:04would be unfunny.
22:05Well, he wasn't wrong
22:06and it wasn't necessarily
22:08for a lack of good material.
22:09Is it true,
22:10as many have put forward today
22:13that you are evil?
22:16No, I am not evil.
22:18I just misunderstood.
22:20Number two, Chevy Chase.
22:22I just want to say
22:23that my friends,
22:24the people who put on
22:24Saturday night,
22:26even since I've been gone
22:27before or after,
22:28still put on the best
22:29damn comedy show on the air.
22:32It's an unfortunate irony
22:34that one of SNL's
22:35original breakout stars,
22:36Chevy Chase,
22:37became one of its
22:38most reviled hosts.
22:40After leaving the show
22:41in its second season,
22:42he returned to host
22:43eight times,
22:45each appearance
22:45more contentious
22:46than the last.
22:47You come back,
22:48you give Danny some story
22:49about his mother dying.
22:51Try to pull the same thing
22:52on me just to take over
22:53so you can satisfy
22:54your inflated ego.
22:55We'll go back to Hollywood
22:57and do it
22:58because it won't work here.
22:59Will Ferrell called
23:00Chase the worst host ever
23:02as he often yelled at them
23:04and made inappropriate
23:05comments to female staffers.
23:07He also targeted
23:08Terry Sweeney,
23:09the first openly gay cast member,
23:11with so many homophobic remarks
23:13that Lorne Michaels
23:14forced him to apologize.
23:15Well, I just want to
23:17thank you, Johnny,
23:18wherever you are,
23:19for giving me
23:20my first big break.
23:22I owe it all to you, Johnny.
23:24Now eat my dust!
23:27Most infamously,
23:29Chase and Bill Murray
23:30got into an actual fistfight
23:31in 1978,
23:33just moments before Chase
23:34was set to deliver
23:35the opening monologue.
23:37Chase hasn't hosted
23:38since 1997,
23:39and the cast probably
23:41sleeps better for it.
23:42Thank you so much
23:43for getting me a ride
23:44on Chopper 4.
23:45I don't think
23:45it'll actually be a ride,
23:46but maybe you could sit in it
23:47while it's on the ground.
23:48Oh, sit in it will do.
23:49Thank you very much,
23:50Mr. Caminetti.
23:52No problem.
23:52Yeah, out!
23:52Gotta get going.
23:53Take care.
23:54Number one,
23:55Steven Seagal.
23:56Depending on what era
23:57they were on the show,
23:58cast members tend to give
24:00different answers
24:00when asked who the worst
24:01SNL host was.
24:03But nearly everyone
24:04who was around
24:04when Steven Seagal hosted
24:06agrees that he deserves
24:07that title.
24:08I hope you'll forgive me
24:09for being a little bit serious,
24:11but it's important
24:12to me to let you know
24:13that there's a lot more
24:15to Steven Seagal
24:16than the martial arts.
24:17Tim Meadows recalled
24:18that Seagal didn't
24:19understand the jokes
24:20and criticized the cast
24:21and writing staff.
24:23Likewise,
24:24David Spade shared
24:25that Seagal took himself
24:26way too seriously
24:27and never followed the plan,
24:29which often ended
24:30with him arguing
24:31with everyone on set.
24:32Listen, son,
24:33I know that you think
24:34that I may be a little bit
24:35old-fashioned
24:36or something like that,
24:37but I have something
24:39that I'd kind of like
24:39to show you
24:40that has great significance
24:41to me.
24:42Spade even remembers
24:43producers debating,
24:44for the first time ever,
24:46whether they should
24:46replace the host altogether.
24:48Apparently,
24:49the only person
24:50who thought Steven Seagal
24:51did a great job
24:51on the show
24:52and was loved by everyone
24:53was Steven Seagal.
24:55One hundred and sixty dollars.
24:57Oh, don't worry.
24:58It'll be reduced
25:00on appeal.
25:02Now that makes me violent.
25:08Did we miss any
25:09behind-the-scenes clashes?
25:11Let us know
25:12in the comments.
25:12you guys
25:13to see
25:13in the evening.
