00:01So I'm a dad of two girls and I'll tell you a little bit about how I believe men should
00:09parent their daughters.
00:11There's a phrase that people say all the time when they feel restless with their lives.
00:16They say the grass is greener somewhere else.
00:20They imagine that if they could just move somewhere new, find a different job, meet different people or live a
00:29different life, then everything would finally feel right.
00:34And most people feel that way.
00:37You know, it's a quiet belief that somewhere out there exists a better field, a greener place, a life where
00:45everything flows easier.
00:47But faith? Well, faith teaches us something deeper than that.
00:54Faith teaches us that the grass does not become greener because of the place.
00:59The grass becomes greener because of the person standing on it.
01:04And there is a kind of woman who understands this truth deep in her soul.
01:11She does not walk into a room hoping the room will make her feel valuable.
01:16For example, she walks into a room already carrying value within her.
01:22She does not wait for a situation to become perfect before she gives her best.
01:29She gives her best and somehow the situation begins to transform around her.
01:37Wherever she stands, the atmosphere shifts.
01:42Not because life is easier for her, but because her spirit, her spirit carries something powerful into every space she
01:53enters.
01:54And faith has always walked this way.
01:59When you read stories in the scripture, you begin to notice something remarkable.
02:04God rarely places his people in perfect circumstances.
02:09In fact, it's often the opposite.
02:12Joseph was placed in prison.
02:16Esther was placed in a palace filled with danger.
02:21David spent years hiding in caves before he ever sat on a throne.
02:27The early disciples carried the message of Christ into hostile cities and uncertain futures.
02:35Yet, wherever these people went, life began to grow around them.
02:43Hope appeared where fear once ruled.
02:46Courage appeared where doubt once lived.
02:49And the environment did not create their strength.
02:54Their faith created the environment.
02:58And the woman who understands this truth does not measure her life by the comfort of her circumstances.
03:06She measures her life by the character she carries into them.
03:10She knows that God placed something inside her that the world cannot give and the world cannot take away.
03:20Her kindness changes conversations.
03:24Her patience changes tension into peace.
03:28Her courage reminds others of what they are capable of becoming.
03:33She becomes a living testimony that God's presence within a person can transform an entire atmosphere.
03:45And this kind of woman?
03:47Well, she does not need perfect soil to grow.
03:51She grows wherever she is planted.
03:54She does not complain that the world is dry.
03:58Instead, she becomes the rain.
04:01She does not complain that the world is dark.
04:05Instead, she becomes the light.
04:09She does not complain that the world is broken.
04:13Instead, she becomes part of the healing.
04:17Her life quietly echoes the words of Jesus when he told his followers that they were the salt of the
04:25earth and the light of the world.
04:27Salt preserves what is good.
04:31Light?
04:32Well, light reveals what is possible.
04:35And when someone truly carries that spirit, the place where they stand begins to change.
04:43There is something deeply empowering about realizing that you do not have to chase greener pastures to live a meaningful
04:54life.
04:55You can create them.
04:57If you want to change your life, sometimes all you have to do is change your life.
05:04You can bring peace into chaotic environments.
05:08You can bring encouragement into spaces where people have forgotten how to hope.
05:13You can bring integrity into situations where compromise has become normal.
05:20You can bring compassion into rooms where people feel invisible.
05:27Every act of faith you carry into the world becomes a seed planted into the soil of someone else's life.
05:36And here is something beautiful about the way God designed this.
05:42The woman who brings value into every space she enters does not do it because she thinks she is perfect.
05:51In fact, she is often deeply aware of her own imperfections.
05:56She knows she has had struggles, doubts, and moments where she felt unsure of herself.
06:04But instead of letting those experiences make her smaller, she allows them to make her stronger.
06:12She knows that every hardship she has walked through has given her wisdom.
06:18Every prayer she has whispered has given her perspective.
06:23And every time she trusted God when she did not understand the path ahead, her faith grew deeper roots.
06:35Because of that, when she speaks encouragement, it carries weight.
06:41When she offers compassion, it feels genuine.
06:46When she stands firm in difficult moments, others notice.
06:51Her strength does not come from pretending life is easy.
06:56Her strength comes from knowing that God has carried her through the hardest moments she has ever faced.
07:04Now, that kind of faith, that kind of faith is contagious.
07:11It reminds people around her that they can stand stronger too.
07:16You see, this kind of influence everywhere once you begin looking for it.
07:23A teacher who believes in students others had given up on.
07:27A mother who fills her home with patience and love, even on the hardest days.
07:35A co-worker who refuses to join gossip and instead lifts people up.
07:42A friend who listens deeply when someone feels they are falling apart.
07:48These are not small actions.
07:51These are the quiet ways God works through people who carry faith into ordinary moments.
07:58And the truth is that most of the world is waiting for someone else to bring the change.
08:05Many people walk into environments expecting the environment to determine how they feel.
08:11How they act.
08:13And what kind of day they will have.
08:15But the woman of faith walks into that same environment and silently decides that she will be the difference.
08:25She will be the encouragement.
08:28She will be the calm voice.
08:31The person who believes goodness can grow even in difficult places.
08:39And when you live with that mindset, your life stops being about finding the perfect field.
08:46Life becomes about cultivating the field you are standing in.
08:51You begin to realize that every interaction is an opportunity to plant something meaningful.
08:57A word of kindness can be a seed.
09:01A moment of patience, that can be a seed too.
09:05A decision to forgive instead of holding resentment is also a seed.
09:12A prayer spoken quietly for someone else can be a seed.
09:19Over time, those seeds begin to grow.
09:23And the person who once felt invisible begins to feel seen.
09:28The person who felt discouraged begins to feel hopeful again.
09:32The environment that once felt tense begins to feel lighter.
09:40And often, the woman planting those seeds does not even realize the full impact she is having.
09:48She simply lives her life faithfully, trusting that God can take the smallest acts of goodness and multiply them into
09:59something beautiful.
10:00And Jesus often described the kingdom of God in exactly this way.
10:06He compared it to seeds planted in the soil.
10:10Small at first, but capable of growing into something extraordinary.
10:16Faith does not always look dramatic in the moment.
10:21Sometimes, it looks like quiet consistency.
10:26Sometimes, it looks like showing up with the same kindness day after day.
10:32Sometimes, it looks like refusing to let bitterness take root in your heart.
10:38Even when life has given you reasons to feel better.
10:43The woman who understands her worth in God begins to live with a quiet confidence that changes everything around her.
10:52She does not need constant approval because she already knows who she is.
10:58She does not shrink herself to make others feel comfortable because she understands that God created her with purpose.
11:09She walks through life carrying dignity, compassion, and strength because she knows that every place she stands is another opportunity
11:20to reflect the love she has received.
11:24And that is when something remarkable begins to happen.
11:29The grass really does start to look greener wherever she goes.
11:34No, not because the world suddenly became perfect, but because she brought life with her.
11:42She brought faith into situations where doubt once ruled.
11:47She brought hope into places where people had forgotten how to believe again.
11:54She brought kindness into moments that could have easily turned cold.
12:00You see, the world does not need more people waiting for better circumstances before they decide to shine.
12:07The world needs more people who understand that their presence can be the beginning of the change they hope to
12:14see.
12:15And when you carry faith, courage, and compassion into every room you enter, you become part of God's quiet transformation
12:25of the world.
12:27So, be that woman.
12:31Be the one who understands that your value does not depend on the field you're standing in.
12:37Your value comes from the spirit you carry into it.
12:42Be the one who walks into a room and lifts the atmosphere without needing to say a word.
12:49Be the one who plants seeds.
12:52Seeds of encouragement.
12:54Seeds of integrity.
12:57And grace wherever life places you.
13:01And when you live this way long enough, something beautiful becomes undeniable.
13:07The grass really does become greener wherever you stand.
13:13Not because the world changed first, but because you did.
13:20And through you, God allowed life to grow in places that once looked empty.
13:30My name is Douglas Vandegraaff, and I believe in Jesus Christ.
13:35God bless you, my friends.
13:38Every single one of you.
13:42Bye-bye.
13:43God bless you.
13:43God bless you.
13:43God bless you.
13:44God bless you.
13:44God bless you.
13:44God bless you.
