10:24after encountering god with the ongoing transformation that believers experience

10:29through holy spirit why do i say through holy spirit instead of through the holy spirit

10:35because that is his name his name is holy spirit we don't say through the jesus

10:40so we say through holy spirit we need to get into that habit because that is very important it's in

10:45it's it's it's an act of honoring and respect under the old covenant moses reflected god's glory

10:51temporarily under the new covenant through christ jesus believers experience a continuous transformation

10:59that grows stronger over time paul explains that as we behold the lord especially through his word

11:06we are progressively transformed into his image this transformation involves more than belief

11:13it involves a life shaped by spiritual discipline truthfulness holiness

11:20obedience a lifestyle that reflects inward transformation outwardly god does not expect instant

12:35all right number one i'm supposed to say number one the journey of transformation from glory to glory all

12:42right so we often hear the phrase from glory to glory as i said at the beginning but what does

12:47it actually

12:48mean in our daily walk with god amen paul speaks about this in 2 corinthians 3 17 to 18 our

12:55giving us insight into what spiritual progress looks like and how we can recognize it in our lives

13:03through the continual work of holy spirit we are gradually transformed to reflect the character and

14:19and in any heart where the spirit of the lord is present there is liberty now all of us with

14:27reflect the glory of the lord as if we are mirrors and so we are being transformed metamorphosed

14:35into his same image from one radiance of glory to another just as the spirit of the lord accomplishes

14:43it amen okay let me give you a life analogy like the sunrise gradually filling the sky with light

14:51spiritual growth happens progressively what begins as the first light of dawn eventually becomes the full

14:59brightness of day amen amen so in another word let me just add this to it in another word um

15:07know if you've progressed from glory to glory by looking at the things that you used to do and the

15:13things that you are doing now by looking at if you have more self-control than before or if you're

15:18going

15:19you're reverting back straight to the word of god then just going beep you know amen number two

15:25spiritual discipline training the soul scripture often uses the example of training and exercise to

15:33describe the process of spiritual growth just as physical strengths developed through consistent

15:39discipline godliness grows through intentional effort and practice now paul emphasizes that a life of

15:46faith doesn't mature by chance it requires purposeful engagement with spiritual habits that draw

15:55us closer to us closer to god example i gave before through prayer the script the study of scripture

16:02worship and daily obedience that's very important it's not a weekly it's daily obedience we cultivate

16:09a deep relationship with god now these practices not only build spiritual strengths but also shape the

16:16heart the mind our mind to reflect christ's character more fully why does it say more fully because

16:23it's going from glory to glory now over time this steady discipline produces lasting transformation rooted

16:30in love faith and devotion to god 1 timothy 4 7 to 8 from the nlt version says do not

16:38waste time arguing over

16:40godless ideas and all wives tales instant instead train yourself to be godly physical training is good but

16:50training for godliness is much better promising benefits in this life listen that and in the life to come

16:58that tells you what we're going to be doing afterward right so life analogy of this one would be just

17:04as a musician practices daily to master the instrument believers develop spiritual strengths through

17:10consistent prayer scripture and devotion number three physical discipline and self-control

17:17all right so scripture reminds us that we are spiritual beings first spirit soul and body spiritual

17:25beings first we are made in god's image created in the image of god and made alive by his spirit

17:322 verse 7 john 4 24 and 1 thessalonians 5 23 amongst others yet while our true identity is spiritual

17:41self-control we still live in physical bodies here on earth this means that our physical discipline also

17:46plays a pivotal a vital role in our walk with christ jesus paul highlights this connection between bodily

17:55discipline and spiritual maturity in 1 corinthians 9 24 to 27 where he compares the christian life

18:03to an athlete running a race he emphasizes the importance of self-control endurance and focus

18:11as qualities that strengthen both body and spirit through restraint healthy habits and consistent devotion

18:20we grow in both physical and spiritual strength living as a whole a whole living as a whole

18:27and holy vessels for god's purpose 1 corinthians 9 24 to 27 in the new living translation don't you realize

18:37that

18:38in a race everyone runs but only one person gets the prize so run to win all athletes are disciplined

18:46in their

18:46training they do it to win a price that will fade away but we do it for an eternal price

18:52so i run with purpose in

18:54every step i am not just shadow boxing i discipline my body like an athlete training to do what it

19:03should

19:04otherwise i fear that after preaching to others i myself might be disqualified let me give you a life

19:11analogy again an athlete preparing for competition carefully manages training diet and rest in the same way

19:19believers practice discipline and self-control so that our lives remain aligned with god's purpose amen amen

19:27okay number four truthfulness and the renewal of the mind transformation into the likeness of christ

19:35jesus is not only about outward conduct it also involves living truthfully paul highlights this in

19:43ephesians 4 25 urging believers to put away lying and speak truth to one another and again in collusion

19:513 9 to 10 where he instruct us to put off the old self and put on the new renewed

19:58in the image of christ

20:00honest honesty therefore is not just a moral choice it's evidence of renewals through christ jesus

20:08when we choose deception we often sabotage ourselves spiritually this deception can harden our hearts

20:15and distance us from god's truth blocking the blessing he intends for us and dulling our sensitivity to

20:24holy spirit's voice and guidance psalm 32 verse 225 proverbs 12 22 and john 16 13. truth on the other

20:33set us free john 8 32 and keeps our heart open to his leading living honestly allow the spirit of

20:42god to

20:43work unhindered unhindered within us deepening our relationship with god and shaping us more fully from

20:58don't lie to each other for you have stripped of your all sinful nature and all its wicked deeds but

21:14for it would be a building can only stand strong when the foundation is solid truth is the foundation of

21:21the believer's life keeping our walk with god stable and secure amen number five modesty and the character

21:30of the heart all right this is a touchy one modesty and the character of the heart scripture emphasizes

21:38that inner character matters more than outward appearance and this shapes how we think about

21:44standards paul in 1 timothy 2 verses 9 to 10 teaches that believers should dress modestly and with self

21:54control with their true beauty seen in good works that honor god peter in 1 peter 3 verses 3 to

22:054 reminds us

22:06that our adornment should not be merely external but centered on the hidden person of the heart

22:14with a gentle and quiet spirit that is precious in god's sight we are also called not to follow the

22:21world's standards but god's standards but george the marketing manager this multi-millionaire guy he

22:27dresses like this this multi-millionaire woman oh she's powerful she dresses like this she's got miniskirts

22:33she says a bit of cleavage what's so wrong about showing a little bit of cleavage

22:38oh yeah mama mia we are also called not to follow the world's standards but god's standards

22:51romans 12 2 urges us not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of

22:59our minds

22:59so we can discern and live by god's will you can dress modestly amazingly beautiful and classy yes you

23:08don't need to dress slutty especially i'm talking especially for women because we are living in times

23:15where beauty feminism feminism has become almost like a god to the world especially out in the west

23:24and it's not just that the the standard of beauty has really come to the point of where they're

23:29missing they're missing they're missing on the creation on how god created us people in injecting

23:36here and they are putting things here and there this is fake that is fake you don't even know how

23:41they

23:41looked like before and sincerely some of them are scary my point is this right you can dress nicely you

23:50can

23:51put makeup you can do whatever but but do not you know desecrate is probably the word i would use

23:58the body the temple of christ keep reading this does not mean that god is against us being well

24:05dressed as i was saying or presentable rather it means that outward adornment is secondary to what

24:10truly matters our heart our obedience and our christ-like character as we keep ourselves in check

24:17and seek god's standards above the worlds our lives reflect true inward transformation and show what it

24:25means to go from glory to glory one peter three verses three to four reading from the amplified classic

24:33let not yours be the merely or merrily external adorning with elaborate interweaving and knotting

24:41of the hair the wearing of jewelry or changes of clothes but let it be the inward adorning and beauty

24:48of the hidden person of the heart with the incorruptible and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful

24:54spirit which is not anxious or wrought up but is very precious in the sight of god

25:01let me give you a life analogy a house a healthy tree produces good fruit because its roots are strong

25:10when our hearts are rooted in christ jesus our character naturally reflects him amen

25:17number six spiritual disciplines that strengthen our walk

25:23the bible shows that spiritual growth does not happen by accident it is a steady journey of being changed

25:31from glory to glory like we've been speaking about as god works in us through regular intentional

25:37practices that draw us closer to god such as prayer fasting scripture meditation worship and fellowship we

25:45create space i say that again we create space that's how you create space for holy spirit to

25:51shape our hearts prayer wanted solution 570 it says pray without ceasing fasting

25:58matthew 6 16 verses 18 jesus teaches fasting with sincerity scripture meditation

26:05psalm 12 to 3 meditating on god's law day and night worship john 4 24 worshiping spirit and truth

26:12fellowship hebrews 10 24 to 25 encouraging one another in faith these disciplines

26:20cultivate intimacy with god and strengthen our walk i'll give you a life analogy just as daily meals

26:28nourish the body and sustain physical strengths spiritual disciplines nourish the souls and sustain

26:36faith amen amen number seven the power of discipline faith daniel's example okay so many people feel that

26:45that real discipline is almost impossible in the kind of world we live in but daniel's life

26:52is a powerful picture of what it looks like to grow from glory to glory through consistent

26:58discipline devotion to god amidst evil times he lived under foreign rule with pressure laws and expectations that

27:08that opposed his faith yet he chose steady costly obedience in daniel 1 verse 8 he resolved not to defile

27:19himself with food that went against his convictions daniel 6 verse 10 he continued to pray three times a day

27:27even when it meant facing the lion's den in other words it meant death his discipline was not comfortable

27:34or convenient but it was consistent because daniel chose faithfulness over ease or comfort or convenience

27:43god honored him in tangible ways god gave him wisdom and understanding in daniel 1 verse 17

27:51raised him to a position of influence and excellence daniel 6 verse 3 and protected him miraculously when he

27:58was thrown into the lion's den daniel 6 22 his disciplined devotion didn't earn god's love but it positioned him

28:09to walk in god's favor and to stand firm when others compromised that's what i was talking about to the

28:17business people at the beginning daniel's story reassures us that even when discipline feels hard

28:24and the times are difficult steady obedience to god is never wasted he sees he sustains and he rewards those

28:33who remain faithful daniel's life reflects the kind of faithfulness that scripture consistently shows

28:40god honoring god promises his presence and strength to those who trust him isaiah 41 verse 10

28:49let me read that for you in the amplified classic isaiah 41 verse 10 fear not there is nothing to

28:55fear for i am with you

28:58do not look around you in terror and be dismayed for i am your god i will strengthen and harden

30:32cleanse and discipline becomes useful to the master ready for every good work discipline itself doesn't

30:40generate holy spirit's power rather it position us to walk consistently in what god provides

30:58rather it position us to walk constant consistently in what god's provide through habits like prayer

31:06obedience and purity we align our lives with his leading allowing his power to flow freely through us

31:14this partnership of spirit empowerment and human faithfulness enables steady growth from glory to

31:22glory to timothy 2 21 from the new living translation says it like that if you keep yourself pure you

31:29will be a

31:30special utensil for honorable use your life will be clean and you will be ready for the master to use

31:39you for every good

31:40work that's pretty good right and life analogy for this one will be like this wind moves a sailboat

31:48but the sailor must raise and position the sails likewise the um holy spirit provides power but spiritual

31:57discipline position us to move with his guidance right very powerful amen number nine summary okay

32:07summary the phrase so we're giving you a summary of the whole study now okay the phrase from glory to

32:16glory describes the continual transformation of believers into the likeness of christ jesus this

32:23transformation is accomplished through the work of holy spirit yet it also involves our intentional

35:02to exercise self-control in body and spirit so that our lives honor you we declare that we are not

35:08aimless in

35:08our walk with jesus christ but we live intentionally training ourselves to remain faithful and obedient

35:16we decree and declare colossians 3 verses 9 to 10 that we put away falsehood and choose to walk in

35:22truth

35:23we speak truth with one another and allow your word to renew our minds and hearts we declare that our

35:30new

35:30nature in christ jesus grows stronger as we walk in honesty integrity and righteousness we decree and

35:37declare one peter free free to fall that our lives reflect the inward character that pleases you we

35:43pursue humility gentleness and a peaceful spirit that comes from a heart devoted to you we declare that

35:49our focus is not on outward appearances but on the transformation of the heart that your spirit

35:55produces within us we decree and declare 1 thessalonians 5 verse 17 that we remain devoted to prayer worship your

36:04word and fellowship with other believers through these disciplines we draw nearer to you and allow

36:10your spirit to guide our lives we declare that our spiritual lives grow stronger as we consistently seek

36:18you we decree and declare daniel 1 8 that like daniel we choose to remain faithful to you even when

36:24circumstances challenge our convictions we resolve in our heart to honor you in all our decisions our habit and

36:32our daily lives we declare that our devotion to you remain steady and consistent no matter the pressure

36:38around us we decree and declare 2 timothy 2 verse 21 2 timothy 2 verse 21 we declare that we

36:46pursue purity

36:48obedience and devotion so that our lives may be vessels useful for the master's work we declare that

36:55through the work of your spirit we are prepared and equipped for every good work you have prepared for us

37:01father we thank you for guiding us and shaping us into vessels that bring new glory with gratitude we pray

37:40we all go through troubles we all go through situations in our lives and um 1 john 5 4 5

37:48tells

37:48us something very important for whatever is born of god overcomes the world whatever is born of god

37:54overcomes the world and this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith that's the victory

38:01you can overcome your world by faith but where you put in your faith matters are you putting your faith

38:09in jesus christ because many of us put our faith in gurus in millionaires in money in whatever vanity

38:17in a bottle in whatever

38:22faith must be in jesus christ in the truth and the truth is not a philosophy the truth is the

38:28person of

38:29jesus christ his word goes on to say in 1 john 5 verses 4 to 5 who is he then

38:34who overcomes the

38:35world but he who believes that jesus is the son of god you must believe that jesus is the son

38:41of god

38:42he's the only way the only truth and the only life you cannot be saved any other way you cannot

38:47overcome

38:47overcome this world any other way but through jesus christ john 3 16 to 17 very famous bible verse

38:55says for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son talking about jesus christ he

39:00volunteered himself to come down to earth to be born a child to be born a human he lived the

39:06human life

39:06he did not exercise he gave up his his godly superpowers as you as you as we would say in

39:13this

39:13world and he lived as a man yes sinless perfectly and then he died on that cross for us and

39:21john 3 16 17

39:22tells us for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him

39:27should not perish but have everlasting life but god did not send his son into the world to condemn the

39:34world but that the world through him might be saved and that might part is on you it's only might

39:42if you don't accept him if you do accepting god guarantees you salvation and i'll show you that in a

39:48minute so what must you do well 1 john 1 verse 9 amongst other verses says if we confess our

39:56sins

39:57sins and sin in the most simplistic definition is when we try to live our lives without god we were

40:02created the out of all the universe out of everything that was created we are the only ones the only

40:07beings created in god's image therefore we are spirit beings first we have a body and a soul but we

40:14are

40:14spirit beings we are created in his image and we are so unique that not one not even one of

40:23us

40:23no there is nobody in this world with the same dna there's nobody in this world with the same

40:27we're all unique we're all special in fact ephesians 2 10 says we are god's workmanship other bible

40:33verses says his masterpiece is one of a kind most prized possession yes wow confess your sins he is faithful

40:45and just to forgive us and to cleanse us that means he washes us clean from all unrighteousness

40:53okay so what must you do very simple if you look at the screen you'll see romans 10 verses 9

40:58to 10 tells

40:59you very clearly very simply confess with your mouth the lord jesus just like you can hear my audible voice

41:06right now and believe in your hearts that god has raised him from the dead you will be saved there

41:11it is

41:12for with a heart man believeth unto righteousness with a mouth confession is made unto salvation but it

41:18doesn't end there once you've done that and he comes from a genuine heart when once you cry out to

41:24jesus and you ask him to be your lord and savior and you choose to believe that god raised him

41:29from the

41:29dead in your place you're saved but then he wants to give you a gift that's what titus 3 verse

41:365 ephesians

41:372 verse 8 acts 1 verse 8 amongst others says he wants another gift then you get saved by grace

41:43through

41:44faith grace god's part faith your part putting faith in the finished work of the cross the gift of

41:50god washing away our sins and giving us the new joy of the indwelling holy spirit that is what we

41:56call

41:57the baptism of holy spirit and fire and you'll receive power when when holy spirit comes upon you

42:05and you will be my witnesses telling people about me everywhere wow wow amen so what you need to do

42:15is very simple it has to come from your heart has to be intentional and you cry out to god

42:19it's not a

42:20generic prayer if you don't know what to say you can say something along the lines of you cry out

42:25to god

42:26and you just say jesus as i did i can't remember the exact words but i said something along these

42:32lines i said

42:32jesus i really need you and the only reason why i said jesus i really need you is because i

42:37come from

42:38a catholic background so i had a foundation in christ but if you don't have you can say jesus

42:43if you're real i need you i don't want to live my life without you anymore i make you my

42:48lord and say

42:48from this day forward please guide me use my life for your glory and i choose to believe that you

42:55died

42:55on that cross for all my sins now i am a new creation in christ use me for your glory

43:03it's as

43:05simple as that and from that moment you just ask the holy spirit you ask god himself and yes the

43:10bible

43:10does say the holy spirit but i just like to honor him and not use the third thing it's a

43:16preference

43:16it's not a religious traditional law it's not what you're meant to you have to do or you'll be

43:22perish yes so now we're gonna cry out to god for the baptism of the holy spirit if you've done

43:29that

43:29pray if you've prayed out to god right now as i'm speaking to you we're gonna ask god to send

43:35his holy

43:36spirit if you've already done that if you're a believer and you've done that the bible does show us

43:40there's several times that the disciples and other believers they were re-baptized it doesn't mean

43:46that you're re-baptized it means that you're just getting touched by god again it's a touch it's a

43:52it's a calling out to god it's a it's a it's a fresh fresh experience with god basically because

44:01once it's kind of like baptism water baptism you can't get keep getting re-baptized once you've done

44:06it you've done you can go and do it again but you've already done it

44:11if that makes sense all right lord let's pray let's pray lord we thank you so much for this

44:18privilege of praying with our brothers and sisters we thank you for those salvations right now and

44:24when i mean right now i thank you that whether it's live whether it's in a few hours and a

44:29few

44:29weeks and a few months or a few years thank you for the salvation of our brothers and sisters

44:36and now we are hungry and thirsty and your word says that those that are hungry and thirsty for

44:40righteousness shall be filled so lord send your spirit send fire for those we have for those

44:48believers like us we just say lord we want a fresh experience a fresh touch from you

44:56send fire lord set us a light that the world will come and watch us burn what i mean by

45:02that is

45:04revival fire a fire that cannot be quenched your word says that our god is a consuming fire so lord

45:10you consume that tree without that tree falling apart in your word your presence is there your glory was

45:19there you've made us the temple of holy spirit

45:26let your glory flow in and through us

45:33we love you and we thank you in jesus name amen amen congratulations welcome back celebration

46:26things that you may walk live and conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the lord fully pleasing to him

46:33and desiring to please him in all things bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and

46:40increasing in and by the knowledge of god with fuller deeper and clearer insight acquaintance and

46:47recognition we pray that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the

46:52might of his glory to exercise every kind of endurance and patience perseverance and forbearance

46:58with joy giving thanks to the father who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion

47:04which is the inheritance of the saints god's holy people in the light the father has delivered and drawn

47:10us to himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom

47:18of the son of his love in the mighty name of jesus we pray amen amen and amen and i
