00:09The 33-year-old woman entered her plea before Sessions Court Judge Mohamed Zamir Suhaimi on Wednesday.
00:16According to the charge sheet, she allegedly abused the child and caused him physical injuries in Bandar Bahru, Parmas Jaya
00:24at about 5 p.m. on February 24.
00:27She was charged under Section 31, Subsection 1 of the Child Act 2001, which carries a penalty of up to
00:3520 years' imprisonment, a fine of up to 50,000 ringgit, or both upon conviction.
00:41The law also allows the court to impose a good behaviour bond and order 36 to 240 hours of community
00:48service.
