00:00A 20-year-old factory worker has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing an underaged girl who

00:08was believed to be her girlfriend.

00:10Noor Farisha Syahaniye Mohamed Shukur was charged with two counts of physical sexual

00:15assault against the girl, who was 13 years old at the time.

00:19In the first charge, she was accused of committing the crime at Felda Sungai Sibol Kulai in mid-2024.

00:27In the second charge, Noor Farisha Syahaniye allegedly performed similar acts towards the

00:32victim at the same place in February this year.

00:36She pleaded guilty to both charges before Sessions Court Judge Thalha Bachok alias Mbok

00:41Mok on Thursday.

00:43The charges were framed under Section 14A of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act

00:472017, which carries a maximum jail term of 20 years and caning upon conviction.

00:54Thalha allowed bail at RM11,000, with one surety for each of the two charges, and told

01:00the accused not to harass the victim and witnesses, to report to the police station monthly, and

01:05to hand over her passport to the court.

01:08The court fixed April 28 for next mention and delivery of its decision.
