00:00All right, touch table on some free agency.
00:02We've talked Lions, Cade Mays, and we kind of await other stuff.
00:06But let's go around the league.
00:07David Music, and I have a late-breaking thing we can discuss.
00:17Les Snead can feel it in his plums.
00:20It's a bluish hue.
00:22They go to Kansas City, and they take their best corner in McDuffie.
00:26And then they go to free agency, and they take the other one in Jalen Watson.
00:30The Rams go from getting torn apart by Bobby Flay, a.k.a. Sam Darnold,
00:35to now complete cornerback overhaul.
00:38Done.
00:39Les Snead can go on vacation the rest of the offseason.
00:41Three years, $51 million for cornerback Jalen Watson.
00:45After McDuffie, like he's Deion Sanders.
00:49Four years, $124 million.
00:50I think Rico put it best while we were talking off-air.
00:54JSN, they ain't letting that happen again.
00:56Right, JSN will not ruin their lives ever again.
00:59Let's go out and get not—you know what's better than one top corner?
01:03Two.
01:06And so then I want to give the full details, which are hilarious for Tyler Linderbaum.
01:13We talked about it a little bit today.
01:15Three years, $81 million, so $27 million a year.
01:18For a center.
01:19Second highest center is Creed Humphrey on that list.
01:23He's getting paid, Tyler Linderbaum is, $9 million more per year.
01:28I told you.
01:29They bribed him.
01:31You know what he is?
01:32He's Monty Williams.
01:34Tyler, it's Las Vegas.
01:37Tyler, no, seriously.
01:39Just hear me out.
01:39It's 20—
01:42$27 million a year!
01:44Oh.
01:45No, no, no.
01:45I mean, that's how the conversation went.
01:47No, you know what happened?
01:49Tyler, it's Cleveland.
01:50Wait, call the Raiders back.
01:52Call the Raiders back.
01:55I'm going to Las Vegas.
01:57My choices are Las Vegas or Cleveland.
01:59But when you don't just overpay, but you offer 30 or 40 percent more than the second
02:04best guy at that position, that's how he ends up in Vegas.
02:08And for Vegas, as stupid as it is, let me be fair, they know they're going to have a quarterback
02:13that will make no money the next five years.
02:15They've invested in a running back that they're probably not going to re-sign.
02:19You've got to level set this thing.
02:21You're not paying Crosby.
02:22He's gone.
02:22So, you're not really spending anything.
02:25David.
02:27The 49ers, they were slated to pay Brandon IU $27 million per year.
02:32That ain't happening no more.
02:34So, they will now be paying Mike Evans.
02:37He is the new receiver in San Francisco.
02:4113th year will be with the new team.
02:44Big receiver.
02:45Somebody that Brock Purdy definitely needs.
02:48And as Mike says so eloquently in the break, he'll go run past the substation and get injured.
02:56Listen, I think if they compliment the Evans signing with a slot receiver, someone like a Casey Concepcion or something
03:04in the draft,
03:05I like what they did.
03:07I'm not ripping it.
03:08It's just he does have a bit of substation in his game.
03:11Yes.
03:11A.K.A.
03:13He just blows up.
03:14Casey Concepcion or later rounds, you get a Jeremy Bernard from Alabama.
03:19Kind of do that whole Debo thing where he can run.
03:22But the Bucs know he's on his last legs.
03:26So, they let him go.
03:27I'm not making fun of you.
03:29No.
03:29You're trying, but the Bucs know.
03:32But did you see their wide receivers last year?
03:35Yes.
03:36Kenny is sitting right there.
03:37Go ahead, David.
03:38Another player that is signing a new deal is Travis Etienne.
03:42He is signing four years, $52 million to go to the New Orleans Saints.
03:46Going back home, basically, is what he's doing.
03:48I think it's more fascinating how Liam Cohen said,
03:54nope, not paying you.
03:55And Brian Thomas will listen to calls.
03:58I think it's just a statement.
04:00And look, we don't pay running backs.
04:03So, go ahead.
04:04Take four at $52 million.
04:06And, Rico, you put it best.
04:07Okay, well, the Chiefs were interested in Jeremiah Love or the Saints were.
04:10Both teams got running backs.
04:11So, now where does Jeremiah Love go?
04:13Probably to ruin my life, the Giants will take him at five.
04:16But you would love him.
04:17No, I would not.
04:18No?
04:18You win with the tip of the sword.
04:22You win with toys, Mike.
04:24Okay, thank you.
04:25A lot of news coming out of Miami today.
04:28They first announced this morning, officially, that Tua is getting released.
04:34It is the biggest dead cap hit in NFL history at $99 million,
04:39which they will spread over two years because they will post it as a June 1 cut.
04:44And then, probably an hour after that, they announced they have a new quarterback.
04:49His name is Malik Willis, three years, $67.5 million.
04:57Nope.
04:57Not win $127 million on the roster's dead money.
05:01Look, Malik Willis, no state tax, sunshine.
05:03That's the positive.
05:04Here's your negative.
05:05You're never winning a football game again.
05:07Right, but I think for Malik Willis, it may have been David, and I know you're probably going to get
05:11to some of these a little bit later on.
05:13There was no place you can go because the other teams that you were looking at seem to be interested
05:18in other quarterbacks.
05:19You're Malik Willis.
05:20You've been sitting on the bench for years.
05:23Miami walks in there.
05:24You know if I go to Miami, there are no expectations.
05:27None.
05:28They're not expecting Super Bowl.
05:29So I can go out there, and so long as I am slightly better than Tua, they will love me.
05:35Hey, it's me, Malik.
05:37I don't have concussions.
05:38I can play the whole season.
05:43I'll allow it.
05:45Next.
05:46Let's get to two of the largest deals of the day.
05:49One going to Carolina.
05:51The other staying in Indianapolis, Carolina.
05:54Jalen Phillips agreed to a full-year, $120 million deal.
05:5980 of it is guaranteed to go to Carolina.
06:01It's an overpay.
06:03And again, this is why, as much as I want the Lions to take a few swings, this is the
06:08other side of it.
06:09But that's an overpay.
06:10Jalen Phillips, a really nice player.
06:12But the $30 million club should be reserved for the best of the best of the best.
06:16I get a little scared there.
06:18That's a big number.
06:19It's an overpay, Mike.
06:20But when you look at the division that they're in, it's bad.
06:25You can win it by just being 9 and 8.
06:27How nuanced.
06:28So therefore, no, no.
06:30It's like the Tigers.
06:33Just be better.
06:34Don't worry about the other teams in the NFL.
06:36Be better than the other three teams in this division.
06:38And we'll make the playoffs.
06:40We'll figure the rest out later.
06:42He's helping them get to that spot where they can go back to the playoffs again.
06:47By the way, did you see what the Bears just did?
06:50Signing Kobe Bryant.
06:51Yes.
06:52Safety from the Seahawks.
06:53Yes.
06:54Three years, $40 million.
06:56Seven interceptions over two years.
06:5834 game starters.
06:59Seven forced fumbles.
07:0017 passes defended.
07:02So Bears, again, trying to address things in defense.
07:07Show me a pass rusher or I don't care.
07:09Go ahead.
07:10The other largest deal of the day.
07:12Wondell.
07:13Nope.
07:14It is Alex Pierce.
07:15And you cannot play this draft for this one because he's a white, white receiver.
07:18Four years, $114 million to stay in Indianapolis.
07:22Now, the thing about this one is you get headlines by waiting two minutes.
07:26They could have re-signed him at 1158.
07:29He wouldn't have gotten the headline, though, at noon, which was the highest free agent deal for a wide receiver.
07:36They just wanted the headline.
07:37They could have re-signed him before a free agency.
07:40But $114 million.
07:42He's developed.
07:43He's their deep shot guy.
07:45And they've gone all in.
07:47And they're kind of stuck.
07:49And with bringing back Daniel Jones, you went and you made the trade for Sauce Gardner.
07:53You gave away your first round picks.
07:56David, you have to make this work.
07:58Don't worry.
07:58Steelers swooped in and made bringing Pittman back impossible.
08:02What are you doing paying Michael Pittman over $20 million a year?
08:08The reason why I brought up the minutes regarding the Alex Pierce signings is because it literally took minutes for
08:14me to like a trade and then dislike the trade.
08:18Michael Pittman got traded for a late round pick swap to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
08:23Baylor Steelers.
08:23Yay.
08:25Until minutes later, they said they signed up to a three-year, $59 million deal.
08:30No.
08:31But he's going to go very fast.
08:35Paying two guys to get nothing done.
08:38That team just didn't make somebody the highest paid punter in the history of the league.
08:42That's true.
08:42$4 million a year for a punter.
08:44Bears just made another move.
08:45What's that?
08:46A name that you're familiar with, Mike.
08:48They signed Browns linebacker Devin Bush three-year, $30 million deal.
08:54So they've now added Bush and Kobe Bryant.
08:58Hide the landscaping.
08:59Devin Bush is not worse.
09:02Whatever.
09:03You're on your own.
09:03I'm just going to leave that one alone, but pray for their midfield logo.
09:08They're going to be painting and repainting over and over again.
09:13That is your NFL Blitz.
