00:00Here's why Iran is nearly impossible to invade.
00:02Firstly, its geography.
00:04Iran is huge, roughly seven times the size of the United Kingdom,
00:08and it's surrounded by natural defences.
00:10In the west, you have the towering Zagros Mountains,
00:13and in the south, rugged coastlines.
00:15Between them, these two massive deserts form a huge no-go zone for any invading force.
00:20Add to that Iran's strategic control of the Strait of Hormuz,
00:24where 20% of the world's oil flows through, and it becomes nearly untouchable.
00:28Second, Iran has an insane amount of oil.
00:31In most invasions, countries run out of energy fast.
00:34But Iran sits on the fourth largest oil reserve in the world,
00:37so even if it was cut off from supplies, it could fuel itself for over 200 years.
00:42Third are its people.
00:43Iran is home to over 80 million deeply patriotic citizens,
00:47which history shows are not afraid to defend their country.
00:50And finally are its stores of uranium.
00:52While these aren't as big as other countries,
00:54they're still enough to fuel its nuclear program,
00:56and give it plenty of enriched uranium for you-know-what.
