00:00And with Iran and Russia holding joint military jewels and the U.S. sending another aircraft,
00:06Karen, we've been talking about how much U.S. military is in the region.
00:11What message is Iran trying to send? Because they also closed the Strait of Homoz.
00:16Now we see military jewels with Russia.
00:19Yeah, I mean, Iran wants to demonstrate that it has friends, very powerful friends in high places.
00:24Right. And so Russia is one of them. I think Iran hoped that China would be another.
00:29But China is very much hands off in the region.
00:32China is willing to provide diplomatic support, economic support and some limited, you know, dual use military support.
00:40But other than that, I mean, they really don't want to get drawn into a conflict.
00:44Russia already has very strange relations with the United States.
00:49And while Russia may not want to directly confront the United States through through Iran,
00:54it's willing to support Iranian proxy forces against the U.S.
00:58And so I think that's why you're seeing Tehran reach out in this way.
01:01I don't know that it'll work because, again, the U.S. already has overwhelming military force there.
01:07Russia does not. And so it's it looks like it's an advantage for Washington.
