00:05it's the nba on 2k sports hi everyone i'm brian anderson alongside clark kellogg and grant hill
00:12on the sidelines ali la force and taking a broader look here at the year-over-year scoring trend for
00:20kawhi leonard well i like that he's really found a balance he doesn't feel the need to put the team
00:25on his back and try to carry them offensively but he can still bring it when they need him most
00:31and maybe what's most important he provides that veteran leadership necessary now the opening lineup
00:37for the los angeles clippers beale and kawhi operate together on the wings collins at power forward
00:43zubat's in the middle and it's paul in at the one they've got andre drummond rui hachimura is out
00:49there with prince then there's keon ellis and it's mitchell in at the point guard position around the
00:55middle part of the year clark how much are these teams looking to the future well it's hard not to
01:00i mean it's human nature to kind of look ahead coaches and players that are leaders on their
01:05respective teams have to keep themselves and their teammates in the moment and that's part of the
01:11coach's responsibility i think sinks it from distance you know when he was coming out of
01:16college this is exactly what scouts thought prince would be a strong three and d wing who plays with
01:22a lot of effort now here's leonard and the layup is good just taking it right to the rim and
01:29no one
01:30was there to greet him well this early they should be showing a lot more energy on defense it's not
01:35there
01:36yep count it sometimes it's simple put the ball in the hands of your scorers and let them do what
01:43they
01:43do best beetle outside back to paul puts the move on and that's two points on the layup paul's footwork
01:54is what makes him so dangerous and close
02:00achimura outside pass to ellis back to achimura over collins that one's wide left clean look from mid-range
02:10coach will probably want to run that play again here's a three from paul
02:15offensive rebound and it's slammed in by zubats look i'm gonna tell you right now zubats is the
02:22first guy defenses need to check out or else he's going to inflict major damage on the glass
02:28what a finish i mean he just took over himself what a show of power right there from the point
02:34guard man
02:35sweet and you know guys when your point guard is making explosive plays at the rim i really do
02:41think it sets the tone for the rest of the team he's consistent from out there especially when you
02:47give him that kind of room
02:52mitchell feeling it out a bit driving to the basket and mitchell with the slam i'll tell you what it's
02:59good
02:59to be his age yeah i don't have memories like that at my age though yeah it does make me
03:06look back a
03:06little bit but i could never throw it down like that but it sure does look good now here's zubats
03:13eight points in his last time out collins with a screen on mitchell paul shot is off
03:20gone four to five so far looking sharp and torian prince has played for a number of teams so far
03:26he's handled each experience like a total pro clark yeah that's the impression i get va i mean he's
03:32somebody that welcomes every new opportunity in this league plays with a maturity and joy that
03:38helps any team he's just a basketball player understands his role and relishes that wherever he is and
03:45the defense gets bailed out by the miss he usually converts that machimura the pass to ellis
03:52shoots over collins and he buries that one back rim and in and it's paul with the ball for the
03:58la
03:59clippers trailing by two three-pointer beale nails it from three beale's got six points beale's got such
04:08a fluid shooting motion it really helps him on those catch and shoot opportunities
04:16back to ellis pass to drummond ellis outside and here's drummond on the wing achimura six on the
04:24shot clock here's ellis and the jumper is on the mark ellis has gotten his second bucket of the game
04:31and the chess match continues seven lead changes already and we're still in the first half
04:38field no good got seven of eight in the basket prince the pass to drummond
04:46and it's the clippers with the rebound defeated by washington in their last game
04:51they'll try to put that one behind them as they say live by the three die by the three when
04:56you're
04:57oh wow oh watch out big finish whoa did you see that john collins a little bit of sauce on
05:06that slam
05:07well that's a fantastic view there from the at&t connected camp prince can't hit
05:15los angeles has gone to a five from deep paul passes to beale
05:23let's the three let's the three fly achimura with a rebound
05:29gone one of two from three-point land so far
05:32mitchell finds achimura back to mitchell shoots over collins and that one's long the clippers in the lead
05:43paul passes to leonard yes and it's paul with the assist that time
05:49he's got five intelligent basketball keep feeding the hot hand the home team calls timeout
06:09let's take a look at the western conference standings now that the new year is upon us
06:14taking a look at the clippers boy it's been a rough season for them they're at the bottom of their
06:18conference i think for los angeles there's no doubt they feel the pressure mounting i mean failing to
06:26match those expectations from the start of the year is apparent and you know any fixes they've tried
06:32during the season have only compounded their problems the clippers lead by four time now to
06:38hear from our reporter ali la force thanks i caught up with the home team's head coach we talked about
06:43kawaii leonard and how much his experience plays a role he mentioned when you have a guy like kawaii
06:48you can take one aspect of his game but he's so skilled and experienced that he will find another
06:53way to beat you they've got their hands full with the vets brian back to you and ali thank you
06:57for that
06:58that is big time by hachimura no mercy at all and so ty lu calls a timeout coach taking this
07:06moment
07:07to speak to his guys maybe alter some of the gameplay so it's both teams making substitutions here
07:13all right quickly here let's look at the teams that lead the league in field goal percentage
07:17the smart offensive moves this team makes helps them open up the floor and find great looks that's
07:24how they've secured such an impressive shooting percentage los angeles has gone three of seven
07:30from beyond the arc in the first
07:35drummond against leonard
07:39his fourth make in five tries solid start for him and at four or five now a nice start i
07:45mean he looks
07:45ready to make an impact offensively so far so good all right guys we're lucky to have shams
07:50charania joining us now our 2k insider calling into the story what do you got chums hey guys this past
07:56summer chris paul returned to the los angeles clippers in what i'm told could be a farewell tour with the
08:02team and he's joined up once again with james harden and paul spent a large portion of his decorated
08:07career with the clippers if this is truly the final ride for chris paul guys it's very fitting to have
08:13him back home in lob city a future hall of famer no doubt all right chums thank you for the
08:19report
08:19when drummond's points come they tend to come inside he's got a lot of ways to beat you down low
08:26collins outside drills it from deep collins has got five and what's working here each guy is willing to
08:35make the next pass here's gillespie defended by dunn and it's mitchell the miss i love how they've
08:46attacked the boards here in the first quarter yeah i like the way they're setting the tone really playing
08:51with a lot of energy here at the start you can't help but look toward their defense and they're totally
08:57lost well everything's coming too easily i mean at some point defensively you have to take something
09:04away stolen by mitchell seven second difference between the shot clock and the game clock it's tipped
09:10it's stolen by leonard
09:14there's bogdanovich with the three mitchell grabs a miss
09:18gone one for three from beyond the arc here's drummond collins with the rebound
09:28left side bogdanovich leonard for three the shot no good and no good and so it's kawhi leonard
09:37making highlights for los angeles hunting for opportunities leading to nine points in the
09:43quarter and more nba action on 2k sports coming your way right after this
09:57and if you're just tuning in we've got a wide margin on the scoreboard but plenty of time left
10:02for a comeback all right guys what do you think about the offensive approach we've seen so far for
10:07the clippers yeah their early focus on outside scoring has paid off they're finding plenty of
10:13points from three-point land in addition to that they've thrown their weight around inside tonight
10:17too thumping and bumping in the paint a lot of their points have come from inside on the floor for
10:23the clippers nicholas batum out there with derrick jones then there's bogdan bogdanovich then there's
10:29chris dunn and it's lopez in at the five takes a three hits a three-pointer batum's gotten himself
10:37going here his first point to the game on the deep ball man they're having a hard time defending
10:42the triple that's three in a row i think they're playing too soft on the perimeter they can't stay
10:47so soft they've got to get up into the shooters here
10:52pass to gay over jones gay misses yeah no question about it i mean as they're looking to battle back
10:58that's one of the key elements you got a rebound now here's dunn
11:03jones from outside it's rebounded by nagi shooting about 47 percent a nice number and there's james from
11:13the arc barries it from three that's a guy you need to defend especially from rain the clippers lead by
11:2012
11:22pass to lopez bogdanovich on the wing back to lopez nice ball movement by los angeles
11:33that's in coming off an assist from jones lopez has gotten his first bucket of the night just like
11:40clockwork lopez doing damage inside it's james on the wing here's larson
11:54five to shoot 13 feet out can't get it to go missed his first one
11:58i don't know if you can credit the defense for that it was just a missed opportunity
12:04here's batum and it's rebounded by gillespie gone just one of three to begin the second quarter
12:10this is how you force a defense to collapse kick the ball right inside
12:19los angeles has gotten six of 13 shots to go from outside the arc and so ty lou calls a
12:24timeout
12:25he's going to take a minute to regroup with his players
12:34some changes for los angeles leonards checked in for batum bradley beal comes in for bogdanovich
12:40and it's paul in for dunn
12:57now lopez right now averaging five and a half a game jones finds ball
13:06to the paint six to shoot shakes him and it's lopez that time on the assist by leonard
13:13leonard's got four assists now tonight second quarter play almost three minutes gone here
13:20achimura the pass to ellis back to achimura over jones
13:25and it's achimura missing the clippers lead by 14 pass to jones
13:32lays it up and banks it in they are passing the ball around tremendously right now
13:39gotten two of five shots to fall this second quarter after going undrafted in 2016 derrick jones jr
13:45carved out an important role for himself clark yeah he really did and it was all about refinement
13:50early on va he was seen almost exclusively as just a dunker but now he's a valuable three and d
13:57guy credit to him for uh refining that part of his game and proving as a three-point shooter and
14:03continuing to impact the game at the defensive end not to be denied
14:07hatchimura has a great motor and competes with the best of them
14:13shot from 16 and the clippers again with a bucket just continuing to pile it on refusing to let up
14:21yeah and you know that is some shaky and shoddy defensive work they've got to tighten it up ellis
14:26fires in the triple ellis has gotten his third basket of the night well that's good work by
14:32prince there spotting the open man and then putting the ball on target on time right in the
14:37shooting pocket he drops yet another dime just facilitating this offense like a maestro well
14:44when you look at the assist totals hey they've been clearly the better team the home team calls timeout
14:53zuboff he's checked in for los angeles collins comes in for jones
14:58and here are the top playmakers over the last 10 games as shown on the 2k leaderboard
15:04rui achimura on top chris paul fourth the assist totals from both of these guys have been unreal
15:11they've been putting on a show offensively recently
15:15here's mitchell goes up and lays it in nice and easy mitchell's got 10 points that's been the story of
15:24their offense so far getting a number of looks from point blank range glennard's shots good i really
15:31like how he's playing and not taking good smart shots playing his game
15:37here's mitchell and he got the whistle on the way up so he'll be headed to the line for a
15:43pair
15:44it's going to be on even to zubats it is i mean no reason to back off and give him
15:49the layup
15:49he's much better off making him go to the line and he knocks down the first one grant you played
15:55in
15:55a more physical era of the nba now it seems like the league is trying to strike a balance there
16:00i think
16:01you're spot on b a there's been some back and forth trying to keep the game free flowing and physical
16:08the league's trying for the best of both worlds he's about as calm as you can be at the strike
16:13here's
16:14field the shot won't fall good work defensively by mitchell gone three of five from the perimeter
16:21in this game and drummond with the jam tell you what that was a power play by drummond there he's
16:27made a career out of stress testing the rims and it's leonard with a ball for los angeles at one
16:34point
16:35they led by 16. shot from 12. that one is off gone two for two from the arc here in
16:47the second drummond
16:49passes to ellis and here's mitchell now here's ellis pounded by beale outside for mitchell shoots over paul
16:59mitchell misses the clippers lead by 12.
17:05beale attacking oh a beautiful reverse layup beale's got 11 points not just the jump shooter
17:11bradley bill is also excellent at knocking his way to the rack and finishing
17:19here's a three from paul drummond grabs the miss defense may have given him that one based on the
17:25result you see what it's prince on the wing past to mitchell on the wing achimura that three's off
17:34the mark for los angeles they've gotten eight of 14 shots to drop so far in the second
17:43now here's collins leonard for three drummond grabs the miss drummond's got his sixth rebound on the night
17:52yeah just a little off his game this quarter he's trying to work his way into a river
18:00paul against mitchell
18:03here's zubats yes and it's paul with the assist that time paul's got five assists tonight powering
18:11through the defense and finishing zubats he's a man with great strength the home team calls timeout
18:23now that we're into the new year how about a check on the eastern conference standings
18:28you take a look at the home team their efforts so far have put them fifth
18:32in the conference with plenty of time left to move up
18:42there's a minute 17 left in the second period achimura outside
18:50shoots over collins and it's achimura missing the clippers lead by 16
18:59outside paul pass to zubats nice ball movement by los angeles
19:08five on the clock
19:28here's collins 16 point lead the largest margin
19:33in the game clock at six just imagine if he was shooting better the lead would be even bigger
19:41prince takes a lot of pride in making it difficult
19:44for the guy he's defending a lot of hustle and tenacity at the defensive end
19:53ellis outside come back from downtown ellis has got 10. you know as they try to cut into this lead
20:00they're having a lot more success with the three-point shot here in the second quarter
20:05no problems knocking that one down and the clippers lead by 15. just so special scoring the ball
20:12bill's got every shot in his arsenal including that nice pull up ellis no good would have counted had
20:19it gone and so it's los angeles of 15 points as this quarter concludes they put in work down low
20:26getting in close and scoring in bunches well now a minute to check in with ali la force she's
20:32courtside hey ali i'm here with coach tyloo and coach your team seems to be dictating the tempo
20:37of the game thus far are you happy with that aspect right now yes i think we got to get
20:42stops
20:43push the pace try to get early transition points if we can and then if not back it out and
20:47run our
20:48offense but we want to play with a with a higher pace and a higher energy and i think our
20:51guys are doing
20:51good job doing right now they have a pep in their step early thanks coach okay ali appreciate it
20:58and folks we'll be back after halftime to begin the third quarter
21:02and it's time for your fan aftershocks please direct our attention to centerboard drum roll
21:11and thinking about the shot
21:17one more time a round of applause
21:34thanks for tuning in we love the mountain climbing don't we well there's a huge mountain to climb
21:41they have to lock it down defensively giving up great shots is a great way to lose a game and
21:46if
21:46you're disruptive at that end it creates transition offense i'm telling you that's where you get the easy
21:55looks
21:56and next a look at some of the possible participants for this season's dunk contest
22:02we've been talking about this contest since the season began i don't want to talk anymore i just
22:07want to get to it but the selection process builds anticipation shaq you know all good entertainment needs
22:13drama la la la la i don't want to talk no more
22:18and that'll do it for us thanks for stopping by we'll head back down to brian anderson and crew for
22:24the start of the third quarter
22:40and with a big gap on the scoreboard the second half begins with very different goals for these
22:45teams one side trying to mount a comeback one side trying to protect their lead how about bradley
22:51deal having a dominant impact in this game through the first two quarters he's been on fire explosive
22:57offensive performance and you know what i'll be interested to see just how much he's got left
23:02in the tank that first half had to take a lot out of
23:16gone four of eight from three a nice percentage they've got rui achimura keon ellis is out there
23:22with mitchell then there's prince and it's drummond in at the five roaming the paint he loves to attack
23:28from the inside this is hachimura's comfort zone no doubt and for the clippers hawaii and collins are the
23:34forwards chris paul out there with bradley beal and it's zubats in at the five spot inside
23:40drummond with the bucket drummond's got six points a great move i mean the defense has no response
23:48yeah if that's a harbinger of things to come he's looking at having a very big second half
23:54this jumper from kawaii is pure once he gets his feet under him the rest is easy mitchell drives in
24:03and so he draws the foul headed to the line to shoot a pair
24:08and here we have a rundown of the teams with the best rebounding numbers this season and i love how
24:13active they all are on the glass when a shot goes up this team takes a gang rebounding approach
24:18to tracking down their boards
24:25and the first one at the line is good
24:36both free throws good for mitchell
24:42and so it's beal who brings up the ball for the la clippers at one point they led by 16
24:48four three drummond grabs the miss drummond's got eight rebounds in the game
24:55to the middle and drummond with the jab you know drummond always looks like he's trying to tear the
25:02basket down when he dumps los angeles leading by nine
25:08to the left wing
25:13leonard inside drummond's there this isn't how they wanted to start the second half
25:18only one of four here's prince pass to drummond it's rebounded by los angeles
25:25zubox has got his seventh rebound of the game with that last one their first missed after hitting
25:30three straight shots but i like their aggressiveness coming out of the half
25:34meal from outside yes and it's paul with the assist that time paul's got six assists in the game
25:42gotten three or four shots to fall so far in the third
25:46mitchell the pass to drummond
25:49machimura from long range he buries it from three machimura's got nine points
25:55nice start to the second half just one miss in their first five attempts
25:59pass to beal
26:04leonard looking around back to beal fires from the corner another miss six makes six misses so far
26:14mitchell the pass to ellis back to mitchell over beal here's ellis
26:20the three-pointer off the mark los angeles leading by nine you think back to the prime
26:25years of kawhi leonard clark he was absolutely dominant yeah he really was i mean so few wings
26:31could dominate the way kawhi did when he was healthy and in his prime i mean he could score
26:36at all three levels especially in that mid-range game absolutely lethal and then defensively he was
26:43uh a stopper he would just turn people's water off in his peak he was as good as any two
26:50-way player
26:50we've had in the league zubat's doing major damage check that rim out folks gone five of ten from
26:58beyond the three-point line in this game mitchell the pass to drummond
27:03and he banks in the layup ten points for him look when you play as a team good things tend
27:09to happen
27:10for you los angeles is gone only one of three from deep here in the third three-pointer beal drummond
27:19grabs the miss it's been an ugly quarter for him trying to shoot his way out of it might be
27:24time to
27:24work on the playmaking skills oh bouncy that should give him a nice lift good timing they needed that one
27:32and you know that's exactly what happens when you don't settle that's the result tremendous effort
27:37and a big-time finish there and it's slammed in by zubat and their offensive rebounding is such a
27:45strength for them when he's on the floor yeah he really helps them extend possessions doesn't he
27:50and you know those second chance opportunities can be game-changing he represents so much value to
27:55this team because of what he does and bradley beal is going to pick up the foul that's his first
28:01foul gaze checked in for achimura and the clippers making a change here as well done he's checked in
28:08for leonard
28:12so it's the home team now seven point differential
28:20here's collins that one's in there on the nice assist from beal
28:25beal's got his fourth assist in this one and what's your take guys here on the hustle stats for the
28:31clippers
28:31well their d has been a major story tonight i mean those steals and putting pressure on the ball
28:38clogging the passing lanes impressive the shooting's been great but also how about the energy level
28:44that's what's impressed me the most they've been getting it up and down in transition and that takes effort
28:53gotten seven of their nine shots to fall quality shooting in the second half and keeping us updated from
28:59the sideline ali la force thank you ba commissioner silver talked about health and he said that some
29:05of the injuries that our young players are experiencing are overuse injuries in earlier eras
29:10players in school participated in different sports depending on the season he said perhaps
29:14a return to that approach is warranted back to you guys interesting thought okay ali thanks a lot oh
29:21a high flyer collins playing above the rim and then coming down with force
29:28pass to gay back to mitchell
29:31here's drummond he's guarded by zubats
29:35here's gay shot clock at six a good looking shot from the wing he's got his second basket willing
29:43passers unselfish play you have to appreciate this kind of offense the drive by paul and he drops in the
29:50layup
29:50off the glass and the clippers lead by nine exceptional focus from the point guard paul is
29:57no stranger to having to outwork the defense prince with the bucket the lackluster effort
30:02on defense gave him the look he wanted and so paul will bring it up for the clippers
30:08at one point they led by 16 and after this one they're at home against sacramento and that's a
30:14one game homestand for the club here's beal gay with a rebound he's fallen into a bit of a slump
30:20this quarter how quickly things can turn the three from mitchell it's rebounded by los angeles
30:27collins has got a rebound number five here tonight puts it up from 15 hits the front of the rim
30:34and out
30:34this has not been his best quarter you know guys it seems to me as though he's over anxious he
30:39seems
30:39to be pressing trying too hard moving too fast this needs to calm himself down and wait for good shots
30:48pass to dunn and here's collins
30:55and he gets it to go collins has got 11 points they have no answer defensively inside yeah and that's
31:03four straight field goals now they've allowed from point blank range can't happen
31:11here's mitchell and there's a whistle he'll head to the line to shoot two it's going to be on even
31:16to zubats you know you don't like the foul but if the alternative is giving up a dunk
31:21it's an easy choice to make i think it sets a tone for your defense around the rim make them
31:26earn it
31:28that free throw is good for mitchell and los angeles will go for a different look here
31:33brooke lopez has checked in for zubats jones comes in for john collins leonard's checked in
31:39for bradley beal and it's bogdan bogdanovich in for paul
31:46both free throws good for mitchell
31:51los angeles leading by six
31:56leonard with the ball 13 points in the game that's their plan to get him an opportunity to
32:03finish in tight that's a miss they can live with james outside pass to mitchell
32:11it's stolen by dunn about seven seconds separating the shot and game clocks shot from 16
32:17bogdanovich no good gotten two of four threes to fall here in this third quarter it's stolen by dunn
32:27leonard finds some space connects on the 17-footer leonard's gotten four this quarter as good as he is
32:34offensively i think this is kawaii's bread and butter he is lethal from the mid-range
32:40gillespie passes to mitchell got it up oh and he hits it at the buzzer oh talk about a timely
32:50free ball they had to stay within reach going into the fourth and they did well it's been an exciting
32:56game plenty of offense as we head to the fourth quarter clippers ahead they're up by five all right
33:02we're going to step aside for just a second but join us right back here for the start of quarter
33:06number four next
33:13and a worthy candidate tonight as we take a look at our state farm assist of the game
33:18just a selfless decision from your two guard showing his ability to get his teammates good looks
33:24yeah and as a two guard he's typically not a reluctant shooter so it was really nice to see him
33:29orchestrating for a teammate instead and with three quarters behind us we'll start the fourth in what
33:36is still anybody's ball game rui hachimura is out there with james and it's gillespie in at the point
33:43with the combination of length and strength leonard is a hard cover gone 7 of 13 from downtown so far
33:51in this game pass to larson here's gay down low here's hachimura and he scores it now five of nine
34:01to the field and you want him taking good shots at this point in the game and that one was
34:06easy
34:06well you don't want to give him any open shots at this stage never mind the layup come on now
34:11nice good such a wide open look and the clippers lead by eight this is bogdanovich's game catch shoot
34:22score pass to gay here's gillespie
34:28to the wing right side here's larson tried to come right back with the three of his own but it's
34:34no good
34:35to the inside here's jones and the dunk by jones yeah he's got his master's degree in dunking
34:42terrick jones jr can throw it down on everybody to the paint here's hachimura and it's slammed in by
34:49achimura hey kept it simple no reason to get fancy right now pa yeah he's just looking to find shots
34:57and produce for his team hey i thought there was some style there guys what are you guys looking at
35:02i mean
35:02it was still a pretty sweet flavorful one hand flush here's gillespie well time pass and he goes
35:10straight to the bucket for the layup gillespie's got his first basket with a tough road ahead they
35:16worked hard to get a good shot
35:21done left side jones from outside gay with the rebound
35:27gone three of four in the fourth and looking confident on offense and the basket by achimura
35:33boy he's having a great half here exactly the opposite of the first
35:38and timeout called by tylu no doubt he's going to utilize the opportunity to make sure
35:45they're all on the same page here
35:55drummond's checked in for larson and then for los angeles
35:58avica zubac comes in for lopez and miller subbed in for bogdanovich all right let's get a report from
36:04ali guys over the last break i listened to tyron lew address the team he said quote this one isn't
36:09over
36:10those guys will come roaring back we have to be ready if something doesn't go our way don't dwell
36:15just move on to the next play back to you great work ali thanks and los angeles making a change
36:21here
36:22batum's checked in
36:33fourth quarter play we're about two and a half minutes through it now
36:37here's done it's good tell you what guys there's no way you're stopping done when he's that close to
36:44the hoop gotten four or five attempts to fall so far in the fourth gillespie batum pulls it in
36:51the clippers lead by six done attacking nice balance from kawhi leonard there and his fantastic
37:00performance from the last game has carried over to tonight and you know that's how it goes with him
37:05i mean these hot streaks guys don't last minutes they last days james can't get it to go
37:12and so it's leonard who brings up the ball for the clippers at one point they led by 16
37:18over james drummond grabs the miss drummond's got rebound number 11 inside here's gay oh a great one-two
37:28punch beautiful pass and a nasty jam they're going at it on offense neither team backing down
37:36hey defense is taking a back burner secondary on the marquee but who doesn't love a game like this
37:42let's go i like offense man just terrible defense i don't know how he missed that shot
37:48pass to achimura here's gillespie leonard defending james oh and makes it with the kiss
37:56now just a four-point clipper lead they're playing great team basketball it's good movement
38:02and sharp chris passing purposeful passing it is partner their last 10 points have all come off assist
38:11outside jones nice ball movement by los angeles shot clock at five basket's good
38:19and that's now 21 points for kawhi leonard you cannot shoot the ball much better than he is right now
38:27pass to gate here's gillespie and the three off target los angeles leading by six
38:37here's dunn yes and it's leonard with the assist that time dunn's got four points now in the quarter
38:43and there's some nice chemistry on offense they're just taking what the defense allows well it's
38:49interesting the defense continues to back off expecting them to attack the rack but they just
38:54continue to pull up and knock down those mid-range jump and the dunk by jones boy don't sleep on
39:00kawhi's passing ability now he can drop dimes as well as score the home team calls timeout
39:18for the clippers collins he's checked in for jones beal comes in for batoum and it's paul in for dunn
39:33got seven of their 16 three-point attempts to go in now achimura from downtown
39:40glittered there for the rebound well the grimace of pain tells it all he's hurt let's hope he's okay
39:45yeah so tough i mean guys i feel bad for him and the whole team i hope it's not as
39:52bad as it looks
39:52yeah absolutely of course this is why you build out your depth as best you can i mean
39:57you just never know when injuries might show up rup lopez is checked in for zubats
40:15los angeles leading by 10
40:20now here's paul field fires he's off from three oh man he can't get anything to fall you can feel
40:29his
40:29frustration and he's got to find other ways to contribute then because his shot making is not
40:34happening right now money from three yeah you know prince is always doing a nice job working to get
40:40open it and that's the rewards you get for staying active keeping yourself moving and open looking to
40:45jump shot great lead pass anticipating where his man was going to be not where he was
40:52gone one for five shooting from the arc here in the fourth buries it from outside defensive mix-up for
41:00sure right there somehow he was left open and so paul will bring it up for the la clippers
41:06at one point they led by 16. from deep cash from downtown and what an answer from beal love seeing
41:16him sink the triple
41:20takes a three it's money from deep and his perimeter shooting might be the key to trimming their deficit
41:26i don't think there's any question about it i mean as long as he keeps knocking them down
41:30he might as well keep going back to the well no reason to let it go run dry keep firing
41:35that thing
41:36oh the shot misses gone three of seven from the perimeter during fourth
41:43now mitchell shoots a three booyah he sinks the triple and this is just typical of him always
41:51making an impact at crucial moments in the game you know they want the ball in his hands here because
41:56they trust him to hit all the big shots yeah zero fear in the clutch beal has seen everything in
42:03this
42:03league takes the shot oh rise and fire the name of the game isn't scoring it's scoring efficiency the
42:13clippers lead by three
42:17no good from three defense dodged the bullet that time total breakdown
42:24great to see guys who don't back down under pressure cool calm collected and confident in the biggest
42:31moment of the game yes
42:36now here's beal he's guarded by ellis talk about trusting beal in the big moments no matter the
42:43stakes he can find a shot the three is in there you have it prince stepping up big time this
42:52guy played
42:53all four years in college and is he evidence of that confidence and maturity there well the defense
42:59allowed that one he had a clear path to the cup important possession here yeah we'll see how they
43:05execute under pressure yes sir bacon in the layup really a good decision turning the drumming in this
43:14spot needing a big basket and he goes and gets and tyloo has called a timeout and a great call
43:22on his part
43:23this is the time you want to be in sync right here
43:45beal outside
43:5117 seconds left in the fourth
44:14and so they get the victory here at home that was an incredible night of hoops a tremendous finish
44:22they waited until the very last moment to seal it and so many times we see these close games won
44:29by
44:29the home team and that'll wrap it up folks for ally la force clark kellogg and grant hill this is
