02:41So, I understand you're here to find out about the Nintendo 64.
02:49Nintendo 64, we call it that because it happens to be the world's first 64-bit hardware.
02:54Now, I could go on and on about all the technical stuff, but I think it's easier for me to
02:57explain that as I show you the game.
02:59Hello!
03:00So, let me jump into the game.
03:01You notice that Mario's standing in this huge field outside of a big castle.
03:05Now, if I take the control stick and I just move it a little bit, you'll notice that Mario starts
03:09to tiptoe.
03:10I move it a little bit farther, and Mario starts this kind of slow walk.
03:14Crank it, and he goes full-out sprint.
03:15Whip it in circles.
03:17Full 360-bit control.
03:19360!
03:22Now, I'm going to cruise up into this castle, because that's where most of the levels are.
03:24Go, little man, go.
03:26Whee!
03:27What kind of skills do you have, little man?
03:29Now that I'm inside of the castle, before I go show you a level, I'd like to show you some
03:32of the cool things that Mario can do.
03:34Now, I'm sure you've seen traditional Mario games.
03:35You know that Mario can do things like climb and jump on enemies, but now Mario's got some stunts.
03:39Check out Mario, man, doing those backflips.
03:41I push the Z and then push jump.
03:44Whee!
03:44Mario does a layout double backflip.
03:46See that?
03:46Awesome.
03:47If I, like, run along, push Z, jump, whoa, Mario jumps a mile.
03:52Oh, look at that.
03:53Did you see him climb?
03:53I can get Mario to do things climbing trees.
03:55I can get Mario to do things by hanging on ledges.
03:57I can do a ton of stuff with Mario.
03:59Oh, did you see that?
04:00Yo, you see the way he went to that door?
04:01No kidding.
04:02Here we go!
04:23Control stick is cool.
04:25It actually allows full 360 degree control.
04:32Okay, so I'm going to cruise along here and jump into this picture.
04:34Oops.
04:38Hey, how'd you do that?
04:40Actually, it was pretty hard.
04:41We had a bunch of R&D guys with busted heads.
04:47This level's kind of cool because there's actually, there's swimming levels in the game,
04:50there's snow levels, there's other stuff.
04:52This level actually involves swimming as well as kind of some traditional platform stuff.
04:56However, now it's all happening in a 3D world.
04:58That's awesome.
05:19There's one other cool area I'd like to show you in the game before we move on to the other
05:22products.
05:24And that's Bowser.
05:56This is too cool.
05:58Now I'm not going to go all the way through this level,
06:00but I just want to show you some of the cool things you can do in here.
06:06Give him a toss, man.
06:07He ain't nothing.
06:14Anyway, I think I can go on for about the next 20 hours telling you about Mario 64,
06:17but I think it's time we move on to Armand, who's going to show you Pilotwings.
06:30Now let's just finish playing Mario and done a crash course in Technobabble 101.
06:35It's time to talk fun.
06:41What's really different about Pilotwings is that you get to deal with more than just airplanes.
06:46You've got hang gliders, you've got rocket packs, and you've got gyrocopters.
06:50It's the most unique flight-simming game you've ever played in your life.
06:53When you're playing the game, you feel like that you're actually in the game.
06:57For example, in this hang glider level, there's going to be some rings you've got to fly through.
07:01That's the first part of it.
07:03Now you've got to be sure that you're making yourself steer really steady
07:05because the mountains are in close, okay?
07:08Now when you go through all the rings, make sure that you pull the joystick down
07:11to swoop your plane upward.
07:13Swoop just like that, just like that.
07:16When you're going in for the landing, you want to use your A button,
07:19or commonly known as the blue button.
07:21Use it to slow down speed if you're going too fast.
07:23Come in for the landing, and it's an A plus if you hit it.
07:26Yo, this is unreal.
08:08When you get to the point where you think you're actually good at this game,
08:11try this.
08:12Try getting at least a silver or a gold medal in all three events,
08:15and you're going to open your way up into some new, hidden levels,
08:19like the cannonball stage.
08:20One thing that's really cool about the cannonball is that you can use the R button
08:25to change your camera angle, and that way you get a true feeling of yourself
08:29being in a real-time 3D environment.
08:32The jungle hopper.
08:34Ha ha, that's one of my favorites.
08:36In this area, the object is to jump across the USA.
08:39Now you want to use your analog joystick once again to make sure that you get
08:43the longest jump possible.
08:44You jump over this building here, and then you go around the bend
08:47and try to find the best way to get to the actual goalpost.
08:55You've still got one more game to play.
08:58Shadows of the Empire.
09:07Well, I guess you two guys are here to see Star Wars Shadows of the Empire.
09:17I guess I'll cut to the chase and get right to the game, which is my favorite part.
09:22One of the really unique things about Star Wars is that there are several different game types
09:26in this game, actually.
09:27You fly a snowspeeder over the ice world.
09:29You're a guy in a corridor in a maze-type level.
09:35You actually fly in a spaceship.
09:37You ride a swoop bike, which is kind of like a big speeder bike across the land.
09:42And one of the coolest parts in the game that I really like is these big walker guys.
09:48You're a good figure.
10:22you can actually fly around them and wrap them up with a tow hitch and you can circle
10:27them just like in the movie and then you can trip them up love that part
10:40the world is in real 3d so i can look around and go anywhere i want but i can
10:44also aim you can shoot up at enemies that are high low i can strafe and run and shoot in
10:49different
10:49directions you're out there henry i can jump over objects i can actually duck and fire at some of
10:55the stormtroopers i can get different weapons to fight the flame thrower to kill these these big
11:00ice monsters okay this is the flying over the starter story and here you actually can zoom in
11:08to the cockpit in every level there's different views you can zoom in and out you can watch the
11:13guy from a third person view or you can actually watch from a first person view here i have to
11:17destroy all these tie fighters watch out for asteroids as you can see the explosions here
11:20are just as good as the other level whoa i just love that part
11:39here's the swoop bike level see i'm chasing this gang inside the town see how fast it gets
11:46i can zoom out and look in a third person view yeah you see all the walls i gotta try
11:51and bump them and
11:52stop them from getting to loot i really like how fast this level moves it's it's it's pretty
11:58overwhelming at first when you're inside the narrow uh confines of the town but you get out later on
12:03and you actually get out onto the desert and you go over the sarlacc pits and you have to do
12:07the jumps
12:07and go through the canyon it's insane here i can go anywhere i want look at things i can um
12:13search the
12:14walls and stuff and find hidden items well that's just some of star wars shadows of the empire whoa
12:29oh those are three great games we've only scraped the surface there's more
12:35so
