00:02What did you see there that you liked from the way he, you know,
00:04because it's been a lot of different things, right?
00:06He's gone back to Mark Blackburn.
00:07You know, last year it was new equipment, you know,
00:11whether or not that was overblown.
00:12But, like, where are you seeing kind of fine consistency and comfort?
00:15Because that's one of the things that Mark said on our show is just, like,
00:17this guy can battle through it.
00:19He's got, like, the mindset to kind of dig deep and grind.
00:21And now we're seeing some results.
00:23Like, could this be a resurgence in form for Max?
00:25He's getting closer.
00:26I wouldn't say he's all the way there yet,
00:28but he's definitely inching his way closer.
00:29So I watched him play Thursday.
00:30He shot himself out of the golf tournament on Thursday.
00:33Him and Ryan Gerrard both did.
00:35Both of them, you know, struggled on the greens mightily.
00:38Max really struggled with the speed.
00:39I was not very encouraged by what I saw with the putting on Thursday.
00:43Sure, it was windy.
00:44The greens were a little crusty, but just didn't look confident with that club.
00:47Obviously putted better the rest of the week.
00:50But still, it's that same deal with his irons.
00:52I don't think he's quite back to that elite level of being a great, great iron player.
00:58You see moments of it.
00:59But what I still continue to see is that balls are not cutting.
01:03Like, he's just not trusting that cut sometimes.
01:06I see a lot of left misses with irons.
01:09And, you know, it's something that he had to battle going from being too out to end.
01:16You know, the club was out in front of him, but he was so out to end that all he
01:19could play was cuts.
01:20They've tried to neutralize that a little bit, talking with Mark Blackburn.
01:23And I think the feels are coming closer.
01:26But I wouldn't say that Max is quite as ready to go win the players in a couple weeks or
01:31win next week.
01:32I think he can definitely string out some top 20s like you're talking about.
01:36But it's going to take, I think, you know, that one really, really good ball striking day where it's like,
01:43boom, that feel, it just clicked.
01:45But it needs to happen at a place like Bay Hill or the players where it feels like that level
01:50of ball striking that's required.
01:52Mainly like Bay Hill is a great example.
01:53Like, you can't fake it around there.
01:55And if you're hitting the shots out there and you're hitting 15, 16 greens, that's the type of stuff that
02:01is the good, like the goods, right?
02:04Like if you're doing that.
