00:00I don't think this is the best time for her to do The Bachelorette because of everything
00:04going on in her life. Like, everything is still so fresh and she hasn't fully worked through it.
00:12Virtual reality.
00:14Macy and Michaela, Dani and I are so pumped to be chatting with you
00:17ahead of a new season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, season four. I can't believe we're here
00:23already. It feels like the world just met you girls, yet you have accomplished so much.
00:29Yes. This season looks so good. How are y'all feeling about this season?
00:37I think we're still traumatized. I know. I just feel like we're pumping them out so fast.
00:42It's like, we don't even know how to feel. We both filmed so freshly postpartum. Like,
00:46I was three weeks, she was four. We were like literally in diapers filming the beginning of
00:50that season. So, I mean, like, we were just in survival mode. So, like, honestly, watching
00:55it back is, like, I'm like, wait, I forgot that happened because I think we blacked out
00:59a lot of it. For sure.
01:01I was going to say, was the postpartum of it all making you more like if drama was happening
01:07where you're like, oh, I really don't care? Or was it making you more reactive? Like,
01:10how dare you? You know what I mean?
01:12I think it depends on the day. Like, there was some times where, again, it's like you still
01:16have those, like, motherly hormones where, like, I had that scene with Whitney where I'm
01:21just crying all of a sudden talking about our newborns and, like, those were definitely
01:24the postpartum hormones and then also just, like, the rage too. So, it's like a mix. You
01:30have, like, this motherly, like, oh, the empathy and then you have, like, the postpartum rage
01:34where you're just like, why are these men here?
01:36Yeah, I feel like I was mostly, like, chill and then, like, maybe more of, like, the empathetic
01:42sadness side. I think now in the last month is when my postpartum rage has been hitting.
01:46So, I feel like I'm feeling more rage now.
01:48Oh, no.
01:49It's hitting me later, I think, so.
01:52Who's getting the brunt of this rage?
01:55Me, probably.
01:56Yeah, right. I'm so nice to you. I'm probably my husband, if anything.
02:01Taylor a little bit.
02:03Yeah.
02:03The men always, like, the men of the seasons.
02:06Wait, why is Taylor...
02:08I've never been that crazy.
02:09Why is Taylor the recipient of some of your rage?
02:13It wasn't us starting it. Let's just put it that way.
02:16Taylor's very rageful.
02:17You know, Taylor has a lot of resentment and anger built up as well.
02:21Yeah.
02:21So, I think that kind of just unravels, unfortunately, on whoever is in the line of fire.
02:28So, we've been dealing with that.
02:30Yeah, I'm like, but that's something for you to watch later.
02:33So, I'm like, not now.
02:34All right, and now it's time for Love Bites, the virtual reality segment brought to you by Sonic.
02:37And with everything going on between you guys and Taylor at the moment, do you feel like she was ready
02:43to lead the Bachelorette?
02:45Was she ready to really begin her search for love?
02:47I think she's working through a lot.
02:50And, like, we were very open with saying, like, I don't think this is the best time for her to
02:56do the Bachelorette because of everything going on in her life.
02:58Like, everything is still so fresh and she hasn't fully worked through it.
03:02Yeah.
03:02And so, it's hard for you to jump into a relationship when you don't fully love yourself or think that
03:07you're deserving of these opportunities and of a good love.
03:10But I do think it was a good opportunity for her to leave her toxic cycle that she was in
03:16every single day with Dakota.
03:18And I think regardless of being in the love bubble, it's like she still has so much going on that
03:23she needs to heal that, like, regardless is not going to matter.
03:27She's still going to have those feelings regardless of who she's with and, like, what she's doing, you know.
03:32It's something that she needs to heal, too.
03:34And, like, she's the only one that can do it.
03:36So, yeah.
03:38I feel like you two have really put in a lot of work to heal from past trauma.
03:43Do you have any advice for Taylor on how to fully heal from her past trauma?
03:48Lots.
03:49I would say for, yeah, there's a lot of things.
03:51But I would say seeking peace instead of revenge is a big one.
03:55Like, letting, it's not like letting people walk all over you, but it's like keeping your peace and letting things
03:59go that, like, just need to be in the past so you can move on to have your own future.
04:03Like, if I kept myself in the past, I would have never moved on.
04:07I would have never found my husband.
04:08Like, you have to let certain things go even if you don't have answers or control and, like, move forward.
04:14So I feel like for me, it's like choosing peace, choosing happiness over chaos or revenge or people who did
04:20me wrong.
04:21Like, that's something that I feel like if I had to do on my journey to heal and move forward,
04:26obviously, like, therapy and things like that.
04:28But that's, like, that's kind of, like, the no-brainer part of it.
04:31Oh, yeah, and I'm like, look at you now.
04:32You're thriving.
04:34I think silence and just, like, finding things that you're passionate about and thriving is the best form of revenge.
04:43Yeah, success.
04:44Success is the best form of revenge.
04:45Yep.
04:46It really is.
04:46And, Macy, I love so much when you were doing your New York rounds for your book tour or the
04:51book press and everything like that.
04:52And just having that out in the world now for some time now, how has that all been feeling?
04:59And I know when you left here last time, you were debating a second book.
05:04How is that still standing?
05:05Yeah.
05:06I mean, for right now, I'm, like, I'm not doing anything.
05:08I also have so many other things I'm doing behind the scenes and other businesses I'm starting that I'm, like,
05:13I don't have time right now to write it.
05:15But it's definitely something I want to revisit that I'm hoping that, like, I can do over time.
05:20Because I'm, like, I kind of want to live in this era and learn, like, from what I'm doing from
05:23day to day to write another book.
05:25Because even people are, like, you're really young to write a memoir.
05:27I'm, like, yeah, I lived a lot of life, though.
05:29I was going to say, you lived a lot of, that book was filled, yeah.
05:32Yeah, it was filled.
05:34But I still think, like, moving forward, I want to do more, like, the era that I'm even living in
05:37right now.
05:38So, like, maybe, like, five years from now would make sense, like, but start writing it in the next year
05:43or so.
05:43Because I want to have a lot of time for this one.
05:45I didn't have as much time to write the last one.
05:47So, I'm really going to take my time and write this one differently.
05:50Because the other one was written more like a diary.
05:51Because it was taken from a lot from my diary.
05:54Whereas this one, I want to write it more from, like, where I'm at now.
05:56If that makes sense.
05:57Gotcha.
05:57Now, Michaela, if you were to ever write a book, one chapter I'd be very interested in reading is the
06:03chapter about how you and Whitney Levitt somehow miraculously made up.
06:08That was, like, the best development ever because I love the two of you so much.
06:13And to know that I can stand both of you equally and feel as though I don't have to choose
06:17sides, it's a very peaceful place for me.
06:20How did you and Whitney come to a place of peace?
06:23Yeah, I think Macy feels similar.
06:25No, same.
06:26It felt like Christmas morning.
06:27I don't know that she was on my side the whole time.
06:30Yeah, I think it goes into the same thing.
06:35Like, choose the peace, the healing, the happiness over the revenge or, like, the anger.
06:42And I think I was working through a lot.
06:45I think that's what people don't understand is when you are unfolding this trauma, it does come in the waves
06:50of, like, anger first.
06:52And then you're able to voice that hurt.
06:54And so I feel like I was projecting a lot of that anger, even though, like, rightfully so, she was
06:59doing things that were frustrating for a lot of us.
07:02I don't think in, you know, I think she's admitted to not being a good friend in that first season.
07:07But I think just being able to work through that anger and, like, I was working through a lot of
07:12heavy, heavy, heavy trauma during that time, too.
07:15And so projecting that as well into the situation.
07:18And we're in these very high-end emotional situations while filming that it's hard not to kind of project that
07:24onto other people.
07:27But, yeah, I think being able to just have her more involved in my health and healing and being vulnerable
07:33in that way is what ultimately made our friendship grow the most.
07:37And I'm very happy where it's at right now.
07:40I would say that Kumbaya was the turning point, though.
07:43Like, that's kind of what, I'm not kidding.
07:45I feel like that's what made it kind of, like, I think the hearts were opened.
07:50Yeah.
07:51Okay, so that sets the stage.
07:52Speaking of the stage, Chicago, Roxy Hart.
07:56How, I mean, how are we feeling about that?
07:58How was she?
07:58Because we can't get tickets.
08:00I know, we want tickets so bad.
08:01Oh, God.
08:02I know.
08:02I think it was still so funny because there's, like, this scene where the, like, the other lead first comes
08:09up and is singing.
08:10And I was like, holy s***, Whitney's incredible.
08:13And everyone, it wasn't Whitney.
08:15And everyone was, like, trying to look.
08:16They're like, is that her?
08:17Is that her?
08:17We couldn't tell you.
08:18We didn't know she was going to wear a wig.
08:19Yeah.
08:20And this girl had a wig and tell me.
08:21We were all, like, this.
08:22Is that her?
08:23And then, like, her voice was, like, incredible.
08:25Because she's, like, a seasoned star with the other girl.
08:29But, no, I think it's just so surreal.
08:31I think seeing her up there in her element, like, she's definitely thriving.
08:34She's definitely where she's meant to be.
08:37So, yeah, it's just fun.
08:38It's exciting.
08:39Yeah, it was really cool to watch.
08:40Honestly, like, I feel like it made me really emotional.
08:42Like, when I saw her behind the scenes, like, I think me and Layla both started crying, hugging her.
08:46It's just, like, so crazy.
08:47Like, it's so full circle to, like, especially with Whitney, like, because we've been friends for so long, like, before
08:52the show and everything.
08:53And then seeing her, like, live out her dreams, too, was really special.
08:56Because I know she's always wanted to be an actress.
08:58And she's, like, told us that.
09:00And so, like, seeing her doing this, like, being her element and, like, thriving was, like, honestly, like, my heart
09:06felt so happy.
09:06You know, like, it's crazy.
09:07Like, years and years ago, she told me and Macy, because we were obviously very close with Whitney before all
09:13the show happened.
09:15But, like, she told us, like, I'm doing acting lessons.
09:18And we were, like, what?
09:19Like, this is the first time we've ever heard about this.
09:21And this was, like, how many years ago?
09:22Three years ago.
09:23Wow.
09:24And so, it's fun to see all of our, like, yes, we've all gone through things.
09:28But we've also all came back together and are able to support each other, just, like, living out the dreams.
09:34And I think it's so fun.
09:37And now we're seeing Whitney living out her dreams.
09:39But the Secret Lives Instagram account kind of shaded Demi because we're not seeing her.
09:44Because they did season one, season two, season three, season four for all you ladies.
09:47And then season four for her was poof.
09:51Blank.
09:52How does it feel to have poof of Demi?
09:54I mean, Demi, it's kind of been, like, a, I feel like every season she's, like, oh, I'm going to
10:00go.
10:01Who's coming with me?
10:02Like, I feel like she's very hot and cold as it is.
10:04And so, it's not, it wasn't shocking to me that she ultimately decided to not, you know, to step away.
10:11Well, even season three, it's, like, she didn't feel like she was really around, was, like, around anyways.
10:16Like, she came in the last, like, few weeks.
10:19So, I feel like we didn't really see a lot of her anyways.
10:21And then same with the season that we filmed.
10:23We only saw her, I think I only saw her in person once filming.
10:26Like, so she was filming for two weeks, right?
10:29So, it's, like, I feel like it doesn't feel that weird because she wasn't really around the last two seasons.
10:33But we will see her singing, apparently.
10:37Oh, she's not true.
10:39I don't even know how to shade this, I mean, to not shade her with this question.
10:43But I guess just, like, what were your thoughts?
10:48Um, yeah, I mean, I don't know.
10:51The track made it better.
10:53Okay.
10:54Okay.
10:55I think it's, like, it takes, I will say it takes a lot of, like, confidence and, like, to get
11:01in there and do that.
11:02Like, especially acapella with cameras filming.
11:04So, I'll give her that.
11:05Like, I wouldn't be brave enough to do it.
11:07But, like, I don't think she has, like, I think she got trolled a lot online for having a bad
11:10voice.
11:10I don't think her voice is bad.
11:11But I think it's, like, that's probably not, like, an easy song to sing, like, acapella.
11:15Like, I'll give her, I don't know.
11:16No, I don't think they're bad.
11:18I think the harmonizing is where it did it for me.
11:24Yeah.
11:24Yeah.
11:25But she could take voice lessons, like, when you took acting lessons.
11:28Yeah.
11:29Well, Jace was, like, Brett's amazing.
11:32I was, like, oh.
11:33Okay.
11:34No, I thought he was pretty good.
11:35Yeah, I didn't think he was that bad.
11:37But also, I'm not, like, I think it would be different if it's, like, oh, okay, like,
11:41we're listening to this on the radio.
11:42Like, that's different.
11:43But, like, this is, like, a friend.
11:44You know what I mean?
11:44Like, I don't know.
11:46I think we know.
11:47She's getting a lot of s***, though, and I feel bad about it.
11:49Yeah, I feel bad.
11:50I know she likes to sing, and I know that she is interested in that.
11:53So, I'm, like, I don't want to shade that.
11:55Because I think that she, I think she could have a good voice.
11:57I just think one of the editors over there is praying for their downfall.
12:03I see.
12:04Do you know what I will say, though?
12:05The fact that y'all can have empathy for her and still show support for her singing dreams,
12:09even after everything she's put MomTalk through, says a lot about y'all's character.
12:13Oh, I think everyone should have an opportunity to live out there.
12:16Yeah, and, like, we, like, genuinely, like, even though she's not in MomTalking,
12:19or, like, I've said this before in other interviews, like, we wish her the best.
12:22Like, we wish them the best.
12:23Like, we want them to thrive, do all that.
12:25Like, I don't think anyone, I mean, maybe Jessie has a harsh, or I guess Jen, too.
12:31Yeah.
12:31You know, I think we just felt different because, like, we both didn't really have direct issues.
12:35Like, yeah, there were certain things that she did where I was, like, that was really insensitive
12:38and, like, not okay, but she did apologize and things like that.
12:41And I don't know.
12:43I just don't wish bad on anyone, I would say.
12:45I'm not perfect, but, like, I want people to thrive.
12:48How is Jessie gearing up for this season?
12:51Because, I mean, last season for her was a doozy.
12:54Does this one, can she kind of exhale a little bit, do you feel?
12:57Or is it still going to be some ramifications?
12:59I mean, I think yes.
13:01Compared to last season, yes.
13:03I think they're not completely off the hook.
13:06But, yeah, I think it's a little, maybe a little bit of a break on their relationship this season.
13:11Yeah, but we did watch the first episode with her and Jordan, and that was a little off.
13:14That was a mistake.
13:15It was a mistake.
13:17I don't think I will be watching.
13:19I would watch with Jessie, but I don't think I'd watch with Jordan and Jessie for this time.
13:22Were they, like, pausing it to unpack something, or were you kind of just watching them being, like, I'm so
13:27uncomfortable?
13:27No, we were watching it, and then it kept, like, glitching, and so it kept, like, going to that part
13:31where Miranda's, like, if you left him, we'd be celebrating.
13:34So it said it, like, five times because we couldn't get to go pack him.
13:37Yeah, I'm like, anyway.
13:37Like, when Mikayla had our sweats on, like, hoodies, we were both, like, putting our hoodies down, like, hee-hee.
13:41They did not know what to do.
13:43It was so awkward.
13:44Are we feeling better today about Jessie and Jordan deciding to stick together?
13:50Or do you kind of, like, do you think she could be better off without him?
13:54Like, how do we feel collectively as mom talk?
13:57I feel like we've always, like, me and Macy, I feel like, have never told her, yes, leave Jordan.
14:02Like, I'm all for sticking it out as long as you can working on your relationship, especially when there's kids
14:07involved.
14:07Like, making heat-of-the-moment decisions I don't think is the smartest because it's going to have impact on
14:13your family and on your kids.
14:15So at the end of the day, I think we're just team mom talk.
14:19Just kidding.
14:20I think we're team, like, Jessie, and, like, whatever she wants to do, we're going to be here and support
14:24her.
14:25I know he's made changes, too, so, like, if the behavior is changing and you guys are working on it
14:30and there's, like, true progress being made,
14:32then, like, I think we're all for, like, you keeping your family together.
14:34No one's over here being like, get divorced.
14:36Like, I mean, there could be some people, but it's not us.
14:39Well, we love that you guys are team, you know, team mom talk because so are we.
14:42We are so excited for this upcoming season, and thank you guys again so much for talking to us because
14:46we cannot wait, and you know we're obsessed with you both.
14:49Yes, thank you so much.
14:51Hope people see you in New York soon.
14:52Yes, please, come hang out with us.
14:54We'd love to see you.
14:55Thank you guys so much.
