00:00I want to quickly cut across to the next news break that's coming in,
00:02because it seems Iranian media is confirming Ayatollah Khamenei's wife has succumbed to injuries.
00:08That's the latest that is coming in.
00:11We don't quite know when the funeral is going to take place of Ayatollah Khamenei,
00:15but the latest that we are breaking right now is Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's wife is also dead
00:22and has succumbed to injuries from the U.S.-Israel attack.
00:26This is being confirmed, as I speak, by the Iranian media.
00:31It's not just Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
00:33Many members of his family were also killed, assassinated alongside Ayatollah Khamenei.
00:39Sandeep, all of this will also create a sense of deep sympathy and empathy where Iran is concerned.
00:46Right, absolutely, Preeti.
00:47And the fact is that, you know, I think the U.S. miscalculated gravely in this case.
00:52As Geeta was mentioning, they spoke about regime change,
00:55but everything that we have seen over the last 48 hours seems to suggest anything but.
00:59This is regime continuity.
01:01And the two big factors that I've always been saying that would play a very crucial role
01:05in whether Iran could survive this is magazine depth.
01:09That is, how much of ordinance do you have?
01:11Do you have enough missiles?
01:13Do you have enough, you know, ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, drones, all of that?
01:17And the other is leadership depth.
01:19Now, Iran has come out by having depth in both, both leadership and in, you know,
01:25the arsenal that they've had, the missile and drone arsenal.
01:29So, in a sense, it has actually helped them overcome this wave of unprecedented strikes
01:36by the United States and Israel.
01:38And they have, in a sense, turned the sympathy on the Arab street, on the Muslim street in favor of
01:45Iran.
01:45This is exactly what the United States hadn't banked on.
01:49The fact that if they went into strike at Iran, they did not anticipate the conflict to expand like this,
01:55become a global issue, a kind of a rallying cry for the Muslim world.
01:59And Iran has seemed to have come out on tops in this, even after attacking the Gulf countries.
02:05So, of course.
