00:00We have breaking news coming in.
00:02Israeli military spokesperson has said that there are no immediate plans for a ground invasion in Lebanon.
00:07Remember, there were earlier reports coming in where when asked about any possible ground invasion,
00:13they had said that we are not keeping all options away.
00:17In fact, most options will be considered.
00:20But now, it's been made clear by the Israeli military spokesperson,
00:25no immediate plans for a ground invasion in Lebanon.
00:28It is Hezbollah that they want to target.
00:31It is the chief of Hezbollah that they have said is a marked target for them to eliminate now.
00:37But they have made it clear that they will not go into Lebanon.
00:43Remember, they have been striking at Lebanon because of Hezbollah.
00:47But right now, we know for sure that it has been clearly stated by Israel that they will not go
00:54inside Lebanon.
00:56And joining us now is Nuri Kainat.
00:59She is a senior journalist.
01:00Thank you very much, Nuri, for speaking with India today.
01:03Firstly, do tell us how the situation in that larger area is.
01:08Because we are hearing that Lebanon is getting the strikes from Israel.
01:13Iran is retaliating now on civil infrastructure, also energy infrastructure as well.
01:18So, this is not just military action anymore.
01:21This is much more.
01:24Yes, this has been much more by now.
01:27And if I talk about United Arab Emirates, let me just tell you some of the points which has been
01:37mentioned by Khali's Times, the local newspaper of UAE, which states that so far in UAE, the three deaths and
01:4758 injuries have been recorded so far in this ongoing conflict.
01:52Apart from this, a lot more has happened over the past two days.
01:59Like, UAE has summoned Iranian ambassador.
02:05And if we talk about the civilians, if we talk about the residents living in Dubai, safety has been, you
02:11know, the priority of the UAE government, which we have experienced here.
02:15And all the people residing inside the country are quite safe.
02:19And there is not that much, you know, situation of cures or your panic situation has not been, like, I
02:28have not seen this kind of situation in UAE so far.
02:34Right, Luri, do tell us, in terms of UAE and its attitude towards this war that is happening right now,
02:42what is the official stand and how are the citizens over there coping with what is happening?
02:48Because we've heard there are now attacks happening on civilian infrastructure.
02:51So, have you seen around you any possible ramifications of this war on the people of UAE?
03:01No, not like so far, we have not experienced any attack.
03:05But yes, because UAE intercepting these missiles from Iran and, you know, trying to stop it in between the air.
03:12So, we can see, we can hear the sound, of course, it's like, you know, the sound is going, like,
03:18you know, every now and then in past two days.
03:21And we can see, you know, because of this intercepting, some of the pieces from the missiles are falling here
03:27and they are all over UAE.
03:28That can be seen.
03:29Yes, that's true.
03:31But civilians, like, so far, there is, like, the people, public of UAE are safe and they are relaxed.
03:38They are not panicking, they are not worried about what will happen next because we are ensured by UAE government
03:43that they are taking care of our safety.
03:46So, yes, I have not seen so far any attack on public property in UAE.
03:54Right, Noori, thank you very much and stay safe.
03:57As India Today's colleague was telling us that the situation there remains largely unaffected.
04:05People in Dubai largely remain unaffected by the war, but they are seeing and hearing the attacks and the interceptions
04:13that is right now happening as the war escalates.
