00:00Iowa State-Texas Tech is a game that I am not really going to overcomplicate.
00:07I, in looking at this spot, thought Iowa State would be the side.

00:15To me, as Cyclones are past, look, you guys know I love an opportunity
00:20to take points with a good team, and you could certainly qualify Texas Tech as that.
00:26I think this team, offensively, is playing a little bit above their heads right now
00:30in the absence of JT Toppin.
00:33The Cyclones are capable of smashing a team, and I feel they are,
00:38and this is going to sound very greedy of me,
00:42as somebody who's invested in Iowa State in the futures market,
00:45who have sensed me placing that wager, beating both Kansas and Houston.
00:50I'm waiting for a dominant Iowa State game, I still feel.
00:53I know they beat Kansas by 18.
00:57I don't think they played incredible.
00:58The Houston game was nip and tuck, and it was kind of a tale of two different halves.

01:26but they are very clearly the way I would play this game if I were to get involved.

01:32I think you're going to take the game live and let, you know,
01:37because what Texas Tech is going to do is they're going to play on,
01:40they're going to continue to play on emotion, right, without JT Toppin.

01:45No one thinks we're going to play with these guys.

01:48Early on in the game, be locked in defensively.
01:50Scouting reports will be locked in.
01:52Force Iowa State into late shot clock decisions.
01:56Slow the game down.
01:57Grant McCasper plays the game the way he wants for about the first 10 to 12 minutes.
02:02At some point, DJ Oschenberger's team is going to smash this team.
02:06So my point to you is if I think Texas Tech, especially as a coach,
02:09you get your guys to play on emotion of us against the world on the road,
02:13no one thinks we're going to be here, that usually means fast starts,
02:17and then you fade, whether it's right before halftime
02:21or early on in the second half.
02:23You just kind of give out, and you have nothing left.
02:27That's why I think the best play to play this game is I would say I would take it live.
02:32I think they're going to eventually force tempo.
02:34They're going to get out in fast break.
02:36They're going to get points over turnovers.
02:38They'll probably have a lead near double digits, maybe at the half.
02:42But I'm not taking it to start.
02:44I'm going to let this game play out.
02:46I'm going to see this thing at about 10 or about 12 minutes in.
02:49Give me an under eight timeout.
02:51This game may be tied.
02:53Texas Tech may even be in the lead.
02:55And at some point during immediate timeout,
02:57TJ Oschenberger's team is going to flip the switch,
02:59and they're going to run away with it.

03:03Let it come down, then jump in on Iowa State.
