00:22that wasn't about oh refs or anything like that. Just furious at his team who lost by 29 points at
00:32home against Cincinnati. He said that a lot of these kids do not deserve to wear the Kansas State
00:39uniform and that very few of them next year will actually be wearing it. JY what did you make of
00:48Jerome Tang so publicly calling out his basketball team? You know the last time I really got into this
00:57was a couple of years ago. I remember when Rick Pitino and St. John's lost at the UBS arena to
01:02Seton Hall and he kind of went after his team and I kind of went after Rick because in this
01:09day and age
01:10you kind of pick your players. So when you're a coach you could do everything you want
01:18in the practice in the locker room. When you take your frustration with your team and you spill it
01:28out into the media and this day and age do you know how many kids are probably already in the
01:35transfer portal at the end of the year? Do you know how many kids can't wait to get away from
01:40your
01:40program because you threw them under the bus? And then then there's this. Then you're like coach
01:47trying to motivate these guys. No, no, no. This isn't Houston A&T. This isn't Houston Baptist. This
01:55isn't Houston Bible College. This is the University of Houston you're doing this against. And you want to
02:03question a team that you're going against that's number two in the league and defensive efficiency
02:11and is playing better. You want to go against a team that in conference play ready for this folks
02:17for Houston has the best offensive efficiency in the big 12 or a team that turns you over like no
02:25one's business but then Houston doesn't turn you over and you want to question your guys. Coach,
02:32I am all for you questioning your players and practicing in the locker room. Once you put
02:40the problems on the street, you should have been looking at it in the mirror and saying what you
02:46should have said this. I have not done a great job and getting my players to play the way that
02:54I want
02:55to. But you know what? I got three days to prepare for a tough University of Houston team. We're going
03:01to
03:01get back to practice. We'll get back to work and we'll give it our best shot. And a player is
03:06going
03:06to say, oh man, our coach took care of us. Our coach looked out for us. Our coach has our
03:12back.
03:13As soon as those clips got went viral, every last kid in there, forget them kids not coming back.
03:20Them players after this, they don't want to come back. They're gone. And you're going to go to Houston
03:26today and play tangy fresh. Good luck. Cause it ain't going to be pretty today.

03:51maybe one or two of these guys, you know, have some pride ultimately. And again, I will let coach
03:58handle the conversation on how he handled it. Right. What I think we could all agree on is Kansas
04:05state has been embarrassing this year and the, the, get your lick back spot is not at Houston.
04:12Certainly. But when I look at Kansas state and their makeup, they can't guard, they can kind of score
04:21it. They love to push pace. Houston is going to have a field day with this defense probably.
04:29And I think play a little bit quicker than usual. So because of the spot, listen,

05:34and give themselves a chance to get over a low number.
