At least six people were injured after a car drove into the McNamara Terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) on Friday evening.

According to the Wayne County Airport Authority Police Department, the vehicle crashed into the entrance and struck a ticket counter around 7:30 p.m. local time. Six individuals were treated at the scene following the incident.

The driver, who has not been publicly identified, was taken into custody. Officials say the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Reports suggest the driver may have experienced a medical or mental health episode, though it is unclear whether charges will be filed.

Video footage circulating online shows a dark-colored Mercedes lodged inside the terminal near a Delta ticket counter as bystanders look on. Airport security personnel were seen detaining the suspect shortly after the crash.
