A frightening scene unfolded Friday night at Detroit Metro Airport when a vehicle crashed into the McNamara Terminal, breaking through glass check-in doors at a Delta Airlines ticketing area and injuring six people. The Wayne County Airport Authority confirmed in a statement late Friday that its police department is investigating the incident, which occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. According to the authority, a vehicle drove into the entrance of the McNamara Terminal and struck a ticket counter inside the terminal. Law enforcement officers arrested the driver, who was wearing a Detroit Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown jersey.
