00:00All right, let's start with the NFLPA survey.
00:07Now, you might be thinking, well, hold on just a damn minute.
00:11First of all, let's all calm down.
00:14But you might be like, I thought they said they couldn't do that anymore.
00:18Well, they couldn't have the comments anymore.
00:22That's right, yeah.
00:23You told us that.
00:25That's right.
00:25But the grades, they still got released.
00:28Did you see who, which team was the best at all the categories?
00:34And then I can break down, if you like, the Seattle Seahawks grades.
00:40The Seattle Seahawks were not in the top three.
00:44For the third consecutive year, it is the Miami Dolphins, who won the survey with the Vikings finishing second overall,
00:53followed by the Washington Commanders in third.
00:57Third, is that who you think about as the best of the best in the NFL?
01:02Didn't the Dolphins coach get fired and their whole staff got removed and their GM got fired this year?
01:07Maybe that's why they were so excited.
01:09Maybe the players were like, this is actually awesome.
01:11They're making some good moves here.
01:12Oh, man.
01:13Okay.
01:14Interesting.
01:15I didn't really consider that.
01:16Now, for the Dallas Cowboys, do you want to know how they did?
01:23Would you like to know all of their grades?
01:26I would.
01:26Good.
01:27Because if your answer was no, I was going to be like, oh, crap.
01:30They finished 10th out of 32.
01:35Now, as we go through this, I want you to notice, or I guess I'm curious, do you think we
01:41excel at the things that are less relevant?
01:45Okay.
01:45And not the things that are more relevant to the football itself?
01:49Treatment of families.
01:51A.
01:52Oh, that's nice.
01:53Fourth place.
01:54Food and dining area.
01:56B plus.
01:5811th.
01:59At the, oh, because you know why?
02:02They have to food and dine with the media.
02:05And who wants to answer questions while you're standing in line waiting for your jello snack?
02:09You're probably not allowed to ask questions.
02:11Don't you think they have some sort of rule?
02:13Oh, I can't stand there and be like, what's up?
02:16I meant like football.
02:17Do you like orange or green jello?
02:19But I would argue both of those are not relevant, particularly to football.
02:24However, your nutritionist.
02:27This guy's got to eat.
02:27That's true.
02:28But your nutritionist and dietician, perhaps more relevant to football.
02:33B plus.
02:34That's 17th.
02:36Nutritionist.
02:37Yep.
02:37So the middle of the pack.
02:38All right.
02:39I wonder if that nutritionist has some say in what's going on in that cafeteria area.
02:45You know?
02:45Probably, right?
02:46Like, hey, guys, can we eliminate some of these Lunchables?
02:51Sure.
02:51And the guys are like, but we love Lunchables.
02:53The only reason they don't get rid of the Uncrustables, I feel like that would really
02:56cause a new need.
02:57Those are just for the calories, you know?
02:59The locker room.
03:00Locker room.
03:00Cowboys get an A.
03:01They're sixth.
03:02Woo-hoo!
03:03But I want to focus on something else.
03:04It's a nice locker room.
03:06Training room and training staff.
03:08We would all agree.
03:10Pretty darn important for football, right?
03:12Don't care about the training room.
03:13Okay.
03:14Staff on the other.
03:15And this goes back.
03:16I get you.
03:16That goes back to Parcells.
03:18He was, you know, turning it down to 24 degrees.
03:21I mean, like, you don't need to be in here.
03:22I want it uncomfortable.
03:23Do you think Parcells would work in today's NFL for a long time?
03:27If you gave him power.
03:29Okay.
03:30I mean, he's very probably similar to Jimmy where he has a small window that he can work
03:34within.
03:34Yeah.
03:35And if you want to win, then you get that opportunity.
03:37But if you're going to be a lazy bum, then no.
03:41Okay.
03:42But both their training room and their training staff got a C.
03:47Staff's interesting.
03:48That puts them at 27th for training room, which I know you said, not as important.
03:53But training staff, that puts them at 30th.
03:55I wonder why.
03:57Well, and wasn't, I mean, injury after injury after injury, and you're kind of concerned
04:02when it comes to your secondary players and how they're just...
04:05I feel like a lot of Cowboys fans are super concerned about our training staff.
04:08Yeah.
04:08And then when you see, and I think last year it was like, I don't know, 80% of the
04:13players
04:13participated in this.
04:15When you see that, and you see that we got a grade of C, which is third to last in
04:22the
04:22entire NFL.
04:23I'm not kidding about this.
04:26Does that give you cause for concern?
04:27Because the fans are already concerned about how much it feels like our players get injured.
04:32And then the players themselves are like, I don't think our training staff is that good.
04:35Yeah.
04:36No, it is a little bit concerning, for sure.
04:39Weight room and strength coaches.
04:44Important?
04:46Weight room, because of all the windows.
04:50Uh-huh.
04:51I can see how that's strength coaches.
04:54I feel like they're all right.
04:56Okay.
04:57That got an A-.
05:00Good.
05:00And a B+.
05:01All right.
05:02Team travel, don't care about that as much.
05:04They got a B-.
05:05Not so great.
05:06Now, head coach and owner.
05:10What grade do you think the head coach and the owner got for this?
05:19A- for the head coach.
05:21Okay.
05:22The head coach gets an A.
05:26Okay.
05:26And the team ownership gets a B.
05:28Does that feel about right to you?
05:31Yeah.
05:32Yeah.
05:33The owner wants to win.
05:34He has a desire to win.
05:36He pays a lot of money.
05:38I understand he gets in the way of a lot of things that would make things easier for other
05:44people.
05:44But he does a really good job of making sure that he's present around what the players
05:49are doing.
05:50And so I think that's good.
05:51I think when it comes to the head coach, he's a really good team player.
05:57The players love him.
05:58They seem to really all get along with him.
06:00He put the offense in a really good position to succeed last year a lot of times.
06:04And he said, we got to go make some sweeping changes immediately on this defensive side of
06:08the ball.
06:08And he's pushed the front office to do so.
06:10And the front office got out of the way.
06:11So when you hear all of these grades, I know, obviously, the training staff stands out as
06:19being not good whatsoever.
06:22But the rest of it, do you feel pretty good about this?
06:25They finished 10th.
06:26They finish in the upper third.
06:28That feels fairly positive.
06:30Yeah, man.
06:31Yeah.
06:31The Cowboys are, it's a positive thing there for them.
06:34For sure.
06:35I like this.
06:35Okay.
06:36Anything else?
06:36Everybody should want to play here now.
06:38You know?
06:38Even Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.
06:41Which is, no, we're not doing that again.
06:44Which is weird because don't you feel like the top three were the Dolphins, the Vikings,
06:48and the Commanders?
06:49I don't feel like I usually hear people clamoring to play for those franchises.
06:56Good point.
06:57The Dolphins, that's a very interesting approach that you got on them.
07:02The Vikings, they seem to be a place where things are going pretty good.
07:08But can they find a quarterback to help them out?
07:12That's the only thing.
07:13And then the Commanders, I think that's an interesting thing because new ownership comes in
07:18and everybody's excited about this, right?
07:20Like everybody's excited about what he's trying to do and he's pushing for lots of new things
07:24and the new stadium that they're going to build.
07:27I think there's a lot of excitement boiling about that right now.
07:30Are there any other teams that you would want to know about in this survey?
07:35Where are the Giants on this?
07:39Okay, so you want to focus in on...
07:42The NFC East.
07:43Okay.
07:44We'll figure out whoever the next team is after that.
07:46The Giants 20th out of 32 teams.
07:51So some spots where they lost a lot of points, head coach, team ownership.
07:57Now, this would have happened before Harbaugh came along.
08:01And even then, they gave the head coach a B+.
08:02That was just really low comparatively for the rest of the league.
08:06Then they're low for weight room, training room, locker room.
08:11So you're saying that generally most of the teams like their coaches?
08:13Yes.
08:14Like I said, if a B+, is that low, it feels like, in general, it's pretty damn good.
08:21I think you're dead on with that.
08:23I guess my question on that is, why?
08:28Is it because players feel like their coach is a good protector from all the other things?
08:35I'm always interested in why people want to vote for a guy like that in a positive way.
08:41They're afraid he's going to make them run laps?
08:44I mean, maybe?
08:45All right.
08:46Do you want the Eagles or the Commanders next?
08:49Remember I told you the Commanders were good?
08:50You said the Commanders were top three.
08:53So I'm going to go with Philadelphia.
08:54Let's see how they did.
08:56The Eagles are 22nd out of 32 teams.
09:00And the interesting thing that stands out on this one, if you care about such things,
09:06treatment of families, C-.
09:08That was 27th in the league.
09:12Locker room, D+.
09:1525th in the league.
09:16Strength coaches, 28.
09:18Team travel, which I bet has something to do with treatment of families as well.
09:22F.
09:23Oh, really?
09:24Tied for, well, you probably guessed it, last.
09:27No wonder they didn't get back to the Super Bowl.
09:29Do you think A.J. Brown was the only one that voted for the Eagles?
09:32No.
09:33He's just like, I hate this place.
09:36That would be...
09:37I'm going to tank it so hard.
09:38No, that would be...
09:39No, it was Jalen Hurts.
09:41Probably so.
09:42Dude, I really enjoyed it.
09:44What was it?
09:45Who was I listening to?
09:47It was from our station.
09:48The conversation about Jalen Hurts is, he makes so much money, and he knows he's untouchable.
09:55And he'll just go out and do whatever he wants on the offense, even though they draw it up a
09:58certain way.
09:59And nobody says anything to him about it because they know he's the quarterback.
10:03And so that's what the real problem in that locker room is.
10:06Now for the commanders, they excelled in strength coaches, team travel, head coach, got an A+.
10:22And then their team ownership got an A.
10:25Everybody seems to generally like Dan Quinn.
10:28Yeah, absolutely.
10:29Anybody that's ever played for him, he connects with them so well.
10:32They always seem to like Dan Quinn for whatever reason.
10:36So they did good, or they did well at those things.
10:39Their locker room and weight room did not go particularly well for them.
10:44They did not get...
10:45I mean, I don't know.
10:47I'm not familiar with their locker room so much, so I cannot necessarily answer that question.
10:53What about the Bengals, Kevin?
10:54The mighty Bengals of Cincinnati.
10:56Do you really want to know about the Cincinnati Bengals?
10:58I need to know why Joe Burrow isn't back in the Super Bowl.
11:01All right, well, you know what I just learned on here?
11:04I did not realize that this grade was offerable.
11:08Treatment of families.
11:10F minus.
11:11Okay!
11:12I did...
11:13I swear.
11:14I swear that's what it says from the NFLPA's own website.
11:19F minus.
11:20They say, hey, when you show up in Cincinnati, you leave your family in Cleveland.
11:26Cincinnati is easily...
11:28You know what?
11:29I'm glad you brought this up.
11:30They're easily the most confusing report card.
11:34They are dead last in treatment of families with an F minus.
11:38Their food and dining area got an F.
11:41Both of those are last.
11:42Their nutrition and dietician is also last.
11:45However, locker room, third.
11:48Training room, sixth.
11:50Training staff, fourth.
11:51And then team ownership gets 25th.
11:56So...
11:57The treatment of families kind of makes sense because remember the whole to-do with Boomer Esiason
12:02whenever they were doing that game to honor their ring of honor?
12:05And they're like, yeah, here's where you can book your own plane and get your own hotel room.
12:10We recommend you stay here.
12:11Says the PJ, bro.
12:12Yeah, like, set me up.
12:15Private jet.
12:15Yeah.
12:16I don't know what you're saying.
12:16Are you...
12:17Don't you feel a little silly that you questioned me wanting to go to the Bengals?
12:21I do.
12:22I...
12:23Did I know that was the case?
12:24Did you know that was the case?
12:26Oh, okay.
12:26I was about to be like, hey, good call then.
12:29But we know the Bengals over time.
12:31Like, we've observed them over time.
12:33And somehow we always hear they're able to do something with little.
12:38And that sounds pretty accurate right there.
12:40It is remarkable looking at some of these things.
12:43How many locker rooms did poorly?
12:46Arizona Cardinals, F-.
12:48Cleveland Browns, F-.
12:50Broncos, F.
12:52And then the Miami Dolphins and the Vikings both got an A+.
12:55And like I told you, the Commanders got an F.
12:57This is all freaking over the place.
13:01And then from the 214, how come I haven't got a breaking news notification about the Chiefs trading the Holmes
13:07to the Cowboys?
13:08No, no, no.
13:11And it's not going to happen.
13:13And they just gave Pickens the franchise tag.
13:15So...
13:15It's not going to happen either.
13:17Allegedly.
