00:00If you have not yet seen the HBO mega hit The Last of Us, you're probably wondering
00:05why everyone is so into it, and if you have been watching, don't worry, no spoilers here.
00:11But it does make you think about why people like watching post-apocalypse-themed shows
00:15and movies so much.
00:17According to Happiful, by watching apocalyptic movies and TV shows, viewers are able to anticipate
00:23the worst-case scenarios in their heads, a coping mechanism which helps them deal with
00:28the fear.
00:28A good indicator of this was the COVID-19 pandemic.
00:32HuffPost reports that studies have found that people who have seen pandemic-themed movies
00:37before the COVID-19 outbreak or watched them during lockdown reported less anxiety in the
00:43early months.
00:44But other than the scientific reasons, it's good fun.
00:48These narratives are hopefully well-written, the heroes are usually ordinary, relatable people,
00:53and the shows or movies usually instill a sense of hope in us.
00:57If humanity and love can survive the zombie apocalypse, it's a battle worth fighting.
01:03more interesting or 세척?
01:03Come on.
01:04Bye.
