00:07Tulip loves food more than anything in life.
00:15That really helped pull it through.
00:21This little one came to us last night.
00:25Suffering with pneumonia right now, getting treated with antibiotics.
00:28There was a lot of TLC, which is really good for their emotional needs.
00:34And then medication and vet visits.
00:37So she lived in our house for one solid year.
00:40And during that time period is when she ended up in the onesies
00:43because her back was so sensitive and open to the elements
00:46and we would put medication on it.
00:52Even though beavers are in the water all the time,
00:54their skin never feels any wetness at all.
00:57Tulip fur never fully grew back.
01:00So Tulip will remain with us and clearly has a very important job.
01:07I was very cautious initially when I brought the babies out to be in their enclosure.
01:13I fully anticipated that they would have to remain separated from Tulip
01:16because beavers are so territorial.
01:18And I saw Tulip showing interest.
01:22She immediately got to work building their lodge for them.
01:29Tulip is not shy.
01:31Tulip loves her food.
01:32Don't try to take Tulip's food.
01:35Amazingly, she would sit there and let those babies eat whatever they wanted.
01:39She's taking care of them and then ultimately she started grooming them.
01:45Even though Tulip is not releasable,
01:47she is playing a vital role in helping us raise these little traumatized orphans
01:53and other beavers that come in.
01:57Amen.
