00:04Fig and Scout come everywhere with us, including all of our family's hiking adventures.
00:09Hi, I'm Chelsea, and the Dodo asked me to share my cats Fig and Scout's ultimate pet routine,
00:15going hiking. Fig and Scout love doing everything with us, including traveling in the car. They take
00:21turns snuggling my daughters in the back seat, riding in the console bed, and even snuggling each
00:27other. We are so fortunate to live on Vancouver Island, where there are endless alpines, forests,
00:33and beaches to explore. We have many forms of transportation for our hikes, from backpacks to
00:38putting them on a leash to walk, to even pushing them in a stroller, which I think is their favorite,
00:44as they can really hang out and check out the sights in style. Some of our favorite times have
00:49been exploring the forest and stopping to watch the river. They also love reaching out and manicuring
00:55their claws on the trees. They definitely prefer to be carried though, and I can't really blame them.
01:01I love including Fig and Scout in all of our family adventures so much. They've made our family hikes
01:06even more fun. Since Fig and Scout love being outside so much, we bought them a catio for days when

01:13can't take them on hikes or walks. It's up to them when they want to enjoy some catio time, they
01:18let us know
01:18when they want out, and we watch closely for when they want back in. It allows them the freedom to
01:23enjoy
01:23safe outdoor time whenever they want. And if they had it their way, they would spend all day out there.
01:30Seeing my fur babies so content, living life to their absolute fullest, brings my family and myself so much joy.
