These Adorable Cats Love Traveling The World With Their Family

Most-well behaved travel companions ever. We talked to their dad about how he exposed them to busy places as kittens so that they could now come on every trip with him!

00:00They are the cutest, most well-behaved travel companions I could ever ask for.

00:04Some of my favorite places we've been to include Mexico City, Budapest,

00:08Croatia, Montenegro, and New York City.

00:11I'm Lazar and the Dodo asked me to share my cats, Louis and Todd's ultimate pet routine,

00:16going traveling.

00:17Whenever my wife and I travel, we always take our cats with us.

00:21They are extra good kitties at the airport and especially as we go through TSA.

00:26Once we get to our gate, I let Louis and Todd out of their carriers for a bit.

00:30While they're both social, Louis is the more curious and active one,

00:33greeting everyone and asking for pets,

00:35whereas Todd is usually lazy and prefers to just chill inside his carrier while waiting for boarding.

00:42They bring many smiles to people's faces at the airport and soak in all the attention they get.

00:47Once we get into our seats, if everyone around us is okay with it and we have an empty seat next to

00:52us, I let Louis and Todd hang out as they're very well-behaved.

00:55Louis loves to admire the view.

00:57When we get to our destination, I bring them out and about with me wherever I can.

01:02They like to sit on my shoulder or on top of their backpack and enjoy their sightseeing.

01:06When there is a place that's safe for them to explore by foot,

01:09I let them walk around on their leashes.

01:11The entire time, they're sniffing around and admiring the architecture.

01:16They spread so much joy and happiness wherever they go and I love seeing how

01:19people light up when they see them.

01:21They're such sweet boys and let everyone pet and hold them.

01:24People tell me all the time how lucky I am to have such easygoing cats,

01:28but it didn't just happen overnight.

01:30I did regular desensitization training with them,

01:32gradually exposing them to increasingly busier and noisier environments around

01:36downtown Chicago and always rewarding with lots of treats.

01:41Now they're both so chill wherever we go,

01:43but especially Todd who will nap on my shoulder in the most chaotic environments.

01:48If I leave them home, they end up uttering these heartbreaking meows.

01:54They make every trip so much more fun,

01:56and I love that I'm able to share these experiences with them.
